Happy Terrible Comic Day, everyone!

Like, the end of his T3 VD makes me so happy as a system. Mikoto's accepted that he's plural, it's clear that John still exists, Mikoto just needs to reach out to him, and he's resolved to work together with John. Like, John and Mikoto working together, accepting responsibility for their actions, and taking the next step forward together is all I've ever wanted from their story.

"Oh but you can't get DID from work!!" Es literally addresses this in the VD. Frankly, we don't know much about CDDs! We don't understand how the brain works! We don't truly understand how CDDs develop! And for Mikoto, it's clear that his job was immensely stressful. I, myself, developed a CDD mainly from anxiety around school, so I don't really care if Mikoto was a few years too old for the DSM-5! His story is still realistic, I can still believe that that could happen in real life.

With the "evil serial killer alter" stereotype, yeah, they could've done that better, but honestly it still doesn't ruin it for me. They're very explicit about the fact that John did everything to protect Mikoto. Y'all ever heard of a prosecutor?? Like, yeah it is a stereotype, but for what it is, I think they handled it okay. I don't think it's worth throwing the whole thing away, y'know?

Disabled people deserve the same love and care that everybody else does. You are important and awesome. You deserve a good life and plenty of accessibility (which I'd love to see more of.)
