So tumblr purged my main account and all associated sideblogs, leaving me with only this account, which is separate. I still don’t really know how I’ll be using this account, but if anyone needs to get ahold of me on tumblr, I will be here! At least while I wait out the purge and see what tumblr’s verdict is for my blog. I may try to dig up some reblogs of my art posts and reblog them here, just to have them. 

I’m obviously devastated about this. I have such valuable friends and followers that I am so so sad to lose. :( I have messages, asks (both answered and unanswered) that mean so much to me. I have silly posts and conversations I can never get back, and just so much history that was purged without a moment’s notice. I don’t know what my tumblr presence will be like from here on out–even if tumblr does reinstate my reallycorking blog in response to my support request, my trust in this platform is totally gone after they ripped away my blog without any warning.

Hi everyone! It seems like tumblr is purging blogs left right and center. If it’s an intentional purge then I’m not interested in associating with a site/company who feels ok conducting themselves in this manner, and if it’s an accident then I’m not interested in a site/company that could be so careless and lacking in basic communication skills.

This coupled with the recent linking issue, and the lack of apparent comment from tumblr has really soured my opinion towards them. Beyond that, a number of people I like, follow, and respect have had their work removed without warning, which is just not on.

To the people who have been following me since I started, know that I always recognise your urls in my notes and I appreciate it more than you could imagine.

So, Tumblr has been purging NSFW blogs. No, it isn’t exactly a ‘hoo-ray’ as you’d think it would be to get rid of the porn bots but they’re terminating blogs— real blogs, not bots— that’s following their guidelines as well, which includes writers, artists, etc. It has already been hard enough for creators to get attention here, and this kind of situation isn’t helping at all. Frankly, I’m disappointed. On another note, there had been an instance where I reported a child pornography blog this year but even after months, and dozens of reports being made, that blog is still up; that, and coupled with other horrendous things I heard about Tumblr. I’ve witnessed so many changes Tumblr has gone through, since the era of 2012, and now, it really went down the hole.

There could have been so much better alternatives they have gone with to improve their site, to improve themselves, even if it had taken a lot more effort, but at least this would have shown then that they do care for their users. Well, I think today says a lot about what they think.

So, I don’t think I’ll bother with Tumblr much anymore. You guys can find me in the following places from now on:

If you’re an artist/writer who regularly tags posts as nsfw, look out. Tumblr is at it again with its fuckery. I’ve already seen two of my friends’ blogs get deleted. Artists, arm yourselves and get out while this ship is still sinking. Back up your work elsewhere, and start letting people know where else to find you online.
