I met a wild vulture once. It had the most careful and perceptive nature, it looked into my face and read me like a person would.

Folk art furniture, dishes, wood panels, trays, pottery and sometimes even cakes are often painted with a technique called "Double brush stroke" where you dip your brush in two separate colours and carefully outline leaves and flower shapes. This painting style is from the Tagil area of Russia and is often called "Tagil painting". Like everywhere, with the development of modern art, folk styles were pushed to the background, as dated "granny's art", but the power of folk art is exploding around the globe and many people want to learn how to do what our grannies did.
