Lets start with some context:

Ka (who btw was built as a super weapon/energy source for the park by my GASM) and Toro were engaged with eachother for a hot minute (stay with me here). this comes after Ka "mercy killed" Rolling Thunder (Who Toro was really close with) to feed their souls into the very hungry scythe they just crafted (Aka Zumanjaro) that is going to help with both energy resources into the park as well as their eventual accession past the mortal plain (never happened). Ka was ironically the closets to Toro while he was going though his "grieving" process (he cannot handle death for the life of him, this is important for later), to the point he ends up attaching himself to Ka so much he would and was ready to die for their further goals. Borderline worship.

Ka's scythe ends up consuming the souls of the rest of the dead rides (and a couple others) throughout the next decade (Only Ka knows this) until long story short it starts consuming Ka. Which is how they ultimately bit it. Ka's soul is out of their body but the scythe is still in tact, just Hungary. Toro is handling this about as well as you'd think.

At some point this chick shows up whose resume consists of odd jobs, shipping gigs and outrunning death multiple times (Rajun Cajun/Barrels O' Fun, we'll call Rain), and she needs a job. And the park is in turmoil following the death of Ka, so she gets a position at the newly (re?)branded GVV Shipping Company as there is more development in the boardwalk. As soon as she showed up this fucking crate shows up.

Enter: The literal Filipino legend Bakunawa...in a crate. Look, if an entire population has been chasing you out with pans for centuries and deities have been sentencing you for ages and your sibling is dead and you try and try and try to get the moon but you never do, you get exhausted. So the serpent had somehow drifted out of the pacific, ended up in a crate, and then left until it...managed to get to New Jersey

Three people have access to what's inside the crate: Rain, the current leadership of GVV Shipping Co., and then Nikki (Nitro) and Toro who are doing a dual ruling thing in the park while they figure this shit out. Which is "great" because this means Toro can use Bakunawa as a vessel to... *checks notes* attempt necromancy !!!

Yeah so he's been thinking about and researching trying to revive people for a while now, arguably since RT. Recovery is about as straight as these coasters are, and one night the grief got so bad he committed to it, which among other things, involved Bakunawa and That Scythe. But he didnt know that it ONLY had Ka's and maybe RT's souls in there. It had. EVERYONE'S

SO when this happened, suddenly Bakunawa (who was very much still alive mind you!) felt the deaths and the screaming and shit of SEVERAL PEOPLE AT ONCE, VERY SUDDENLY. THE SERPENT saw a glimpse into death over and over and over again from the perspectives of those who died before. Which, predictably fucking BREAKS THEM. And they FREAK OUT. Because WHO THE FUCK WOULDN'T. And this is before you even argue about whether those people wanted to be revived in the first place! And then they sorta morphed into the Moon Embryo RIte as they are slowly trying to craft a new identity (or arguably make peace with the several) for themselves and their own person.
