I've known since I was a kid! I never enjoyed being called a girl or when I was expected to do certain things because I was a girl. I dunno I sorta just, knew?? if that makes any sense? Like nothing wrong with being a girl but I always felt like a guy and acted like one too.

Thankfully I was able to begin my transition pretty young (tho I didn't start like hormones or anything till I was a teen) and so I grew up as a boy pretty much. Like I think I cut my hair and came out around 6 or 7?I'm also thankfully very small-breasted so I never had to get top surgery.

I'm probably not going to get bottom surgery either cause it's lowk scary and I'm perfectly fine with my body the way it is. I know a lot of trans people who get dysphoria, but I think I don't really feel the same way?

I love my body the way it is now, and I honestly only started hormones cause I thought it was the "right" way to be trans, but I stopped after my voice had dropped. I don't normally get misgendered so when I do I lowk find it funny because its just so obvious they're actively TRYING to use the wrong pronouns.

But that's just my experience, and it's different for everyone. I know a lot of trans people who feel uncomfortable with the bodies they were born in, and thus get surgeries to change that, and that's totally ok too. It's all a matter of preference. Take Xiao Qing for example, she got bottom surgery, meanwhile I did not. We all have our own experiences and preferences that make us who we are,

In regards to sex and things of that nature (though this doesn't apply to you it's still helpful for being an ally!) I think that also often tends to vary from person to person. I, for example, am fine with the genetalia I was born with, but do still get nervous that my partner might not be as ok with it as I am. That is alas something I am working on, though to be honest it hasn't really been a problem thus far because no sex has been had! This is probably tmi but it IS related to being trans so I'm including this anyways.
