I appreciate Deltarune Chapter 5 for giving us those Noelle sprites, women should be allowed to scare us with their deranged smiles and creepy faces. I appreciate Deltarune a lot for making Noelle cute, she has a resting cute face and does that fake laugh thing, it's obvious she's been taught to make people happy by smiling all the time, and then you can see in other sprites when she starts showing emotion she can't hide she is genuinely kind of terrifying and evil looking, with a deranged twinkle in her eyes. She's like if a girl got to have the range of expression and emotion normally only afforded to male characters while also having the lifestyle and upbringing factor into their presentation and character in the way it naturally does. I also love how in stark contrast is Susie's collection of sprites. Susie tries hard particularly in Chapter 1 to put on a scary and evil look but when she stops trying she has the most kind and soulful eyes ever made on a 64x64 pixel canvas. Noelle is evil and fucked up at heart but in a good way that teenage girls should get to be but she's been forced to play up a good girl persona for so long, and Susie has had to adopt the mean girl persona others forced upon her to survive because they couldn't see the sweet and amazing girl underneath. She's lives in a mansion and gets good grades, she's in poverty and her teacher doesn't believe in her, she deep down wants to go crazy and burn her life down, she deep down wishes for people to love and who love her, she's slowly losing the family she had, she's finding a family she thought she could never get, she's under everyone else's control and does everything for other people's feelings, she breaks the control anyone tries to force over her and she does things that are honest to herself, they both like horror movies and video games. The yuri is fluff and fuzzies and themes and motifs.
