My first time to be in India for the Holi Festival and it was quite something! This man was selling powders that the locals use to spread over people. We wore clothes that could be disposed of if necessary. We had the most fun with children in the village we visited first thing in the morning! There are two of these structures on the lake where the Jal Mahal Water Palace is situated on the road from Jaipur on the way to the Amer Fort. I didn’t ever imagine photographing rats! Near Bikaner we visited the only Rat Temple in India and there were lots of locals coming to pay homage. We went in bare footed and they ran everywhere!
