     She missed the freedom of the farm. There was so much space,      so much for her to do, even if it didn't feel like it at the time. The      longing  of  familiarity,  of  the family she used to have settled in      her bones.  She was happy  for  Maggie--  that  she  had  found      someone she cared for. Her father even, who had broken out of      the shell he had been in for so long.  And  there  she  was--  the      same. Always the same. 

     Blue hues caught sight of the other,  the smallest hint of a smile      forming upon her lips.  Stay behind with the children,  stay  with      Carl and Judith.  And she loved them,  she truly did--  but there      was longing for something new. Something different. 

          "--Do you think your dad would ever let us tag along on            a run?"

     A vain attempt at conversation. She knew the answer would be      no--  for her,  at least.  Teeth  clenched tightly together and the      girl got to her feet, placing her hands on her hips.

                If it’s time to go, remember what you’re leaving.                                                                                                                      Remember the best.
