One of my biggest acts upon getting to Wizards was to help establish rules for what was in color and what was not. I was late in the development of Alliances, so I had less influence. I was one of the four people developing Mirage block, so that’s where you can see the start of the modern color pie.

I don’t think most players would notice. I believe the majority of players don’t know the difference between a named keyword and an ability word.

If you’re ever bored, go read old posts. I say more than you might realize in the moment. : )
