With that came a samurai-like edge of self defense, that one should be able to deliver a killing blow if necessary. I thought that training in self defense without serious intent of a possibly fatal outcome was wasteful. That in the most extreme situations, this was a mindset warranted.

This has been years and in light of all the turmoil happening in my country, violence (political, socio-economic) I am just aghast. Im not condemning protest or riots, whatever the case may be but it’s just scary. I don’t think anyone can argue that even righteous violence is intense and frightening.

And I see so many people on Facebook openly talking about murder like it’s a joke. My stomach has turned and i just want for people to be happy and safe.

God forbid that someone goes to a taekwondo class to relax, exercise, have fun, and maybe learn some skills that will help them to survive this world or to help someone else in need.
