You may not like it, but this is what 10 hours of digital art experience with looks like.
oshit! Incoming Jam Alert! Three streamer guys took turns writing one word for a story. Inspired by the sheer stupidity they concocted, I adapted it into rap form with a little help from Parappa the Rapperās music. Truly, the oddest form of collaboration, if you can even call it a collaboration.
You might say Iām late to the party with a review of last yearās surprise visual novel hit...I, however, refer to it as āproviding a thorough analysis.ā WARNING: VERY SERIOUS REVIEW.
Heās got an āead like a freakinā orange...

Woohoo! MS Paint portraits...ROUND 2! Quite the collection of heads in this one, striking a nice balance between obscure and better known characters and persons. How many can you identify? Higher-res, individual portraits are soon to come...not that anyone cares.
Woohoo more ancient sketches from two years ago! I like me some cartoony goats, I mean ghosts; so easy to draw, and they make me feel good about myself...I think. As always, thereās some semi-original and video game related stuff here. Iāll let you figure out whatās what. (I wonder what that one ghost is smokinā on...)
Itās everyoneās favorite greedy, garlic-eating fatman! This one seems to be the best of the batch so far.
Oh yes. The MS Paint-like derportraits are returning. Not that you were missing them or even knew that I made them.

Just like another set of drawings I posted here, the Ventus to the left is drawn from concept art. Once ya get the hang of it, drawing from reference can be pretty easy albeit time consuming. However, it doesnāt really help you when you want to draw custom poses or experiment with different styles.
On the right, weāve got a few Hatty Hattington doodles. Nothinā special.
Although, these sketches are kind of nice, they really are just concept art from reference. On the top right, we have Rosalina and her late mother. On the left, we have some Aqua. And lastly, of course, we have Luigi along with some Computer Science notes.
I both like and dislike how Aquaās body pose turned out; my main gripe with it being that she looks too masculine. Something in the face or neck just aināt right.
Hereās a Zelda. I just took some promotional art from Spirit Tracks and drew what I saw. I usually find drawing directly from a reference much easier than without one, but it can be so easy to obsess about all of the details and work at a snailās pace.
I was also tempted to label this as mediocre art, but seeing as though itās not quite mediocre, I decided against it.
I have a habit of drawing Kirby whenever I lack inspiration. Kirby is really just a ball, which makes drawing him so effortless. Iāve become so skilled at sketching Kirby, that I know everything a fully grown man can know about drawing a fictional sphere.
Even still, my art consistently falls into the mediocrity spectrum due to me not putting in enough practice. So, there are plenty of people out there who can draw Kirby better than me with a lot less trouble too.
When it comes to variety sketches, these are the most various: from a Daft Punk-esque robot man, to Mother 3 drawings. My favorite is the marshmallow keeping a close eye on the campfire at the top left.
Sometimes when drawing, I just let my mistakes happen and roll with the punches. For instance, that semi-spiky elephant on the right stemmed from a poorly proportioned hand. (My first mistake there was not using a reference.) I thought the disgusting thumb looked like an elephantās trunk and the rest is history.

Iāve written in my description that Iām a variety blog, but I havenāt really demonstrated the other stuff that I do. So, hereās a schwifty mashup that I cooked up recently for your listening pleasure!
Itās pretty stupid, but I kind of like it. It gets pretty juicy towards the end too.
Iāve got a couple of other āhigh-quality video game ripsā on my Soundcloud as well, and Iād say they are a little better than this one. (I still feel like my Super Mario Galaxy 2 track is my best work.) CheckĀ āem out if youāre interested!
Hereās a collection of disturbing facial expressions drawn in the style of Zach Hadel (psychicpebbles) of Hellbenders fame. Of course, these are much more tame and rigid than what he can create.
On the whole, Iād say that drawing faces is where I am most confident as an artist. Once you get the hang of it, thereās not too much that can go wrong (especially in these cases where anything uncomfortable is a blessing). Even still, some of this is lacking in energy and specific expression...
Eh, whatever.
