From just beyond the campfire, the Viperface wistfully watches Felix go about his business as they lean on a stump, head propped in their hand, the other holding a camera absently, mind stuck in the clouds.

From the Sinday Prompt - Felix, Flustered! (Platonic)

"Oh hey cutie! I could never have enough candids of you— never know when you'll get that perfect shot after all."

They snap a photo and the flash goes off, lightening up his darker side while the firelight creates a lovely orange highlight.

"I wouldn't mind if you changed it up now and again, but you look perfectly handsome just like this."

They take another shot, this time without the flash, creating a much more moody, shadowed scene across that furrowed brow.

There was also no point in contending the brazen comments about his appearance. He just flinched against the flash of the camera and grit his teeth. There really was no way to make this end that didn't involve him wanting to rip his own teeth out.

"Aw c'mon cutie, don't be like that! I don't even do that! ... At least, not around here..." they mumble sheepishly and quietly to themselves.

The Viperface then stands and saunters a ways into the firelit clearing.

"And honestly, my personal duties aren't really something you need to concern yourself with..." they say, flapping dismissively once again. This Felix probably wouldn't like hearing about it very much anyway...

"But let's just say... I have some... things that I'm overseeing and a lot of people are waiting very patiently for it to continue, ha..." they say, looking sheepish again. I'm working on it, I promise!

"Ah, hello Dani! With an I and not a Y! Nice to meet you! I'm not actually a Danny though. This is just how I like to appear when I uh... 'go out' I suppose. Most of the time I just like to observe from the sidelines or stick to overseeing my own realms." The Viperface says, wiggling their fingers as if typing.

-raises an eyebrow behind his mask as they wiggle their fingers and then tilts his head in amusement- you know, I like you! You're very funny! I like fun peoples!

Hearteyes Viperface returns, looking to casually tease and torment their favorite blonde.

"Heyyy cutie! Rumor has it, you've been looking for a good time!"

They try to play it as straight as possible, but can't help an amused laugh from sneaking through.

Felix nearly jumps out of his own skin, spinning to find the source of the voice. A Ghostface...always a Ghostface...

"A good time? I'm not sure there is such a thing in the Realm."

His eye contact drops as he looks around for anyone else, just so he's not alone with the Viperface for too long.

They look furtively and dramatically around.

Why taunt without reason?

"I...don't know what you're talking about."

Who had he spent time with recently...at least who would it be that this Viperface might have seen him with?

"Oh, it was quite a long, roaming look for a misunderstanding! Quite difficult to misunderstand that! In fact, it was so long, I may have even had a chance to document it for perpetuity..."

They do a bit of a joyful curtsy before pressing a pointer finger to the viper smile in thought.

"I wonder if they'd like to see it?"

"I suppose this is where you blackmail me...? What is it you want in exchange for that picture?"

He agrees with a nod.

This Viperface's frame is smaller than he anticipated, but still stood about his height once they were in front of each other. He was unsure what he expected when he drew them into his arms, but this Viperface was surprisingly warm. They felt real, human...nothing like how a killer should feel.

And for a moment, the dread and anxiety slipped into something more connected, more real. The person beneath the mask, when all was said and done, was still a person after all.

Viperface sighs in satisfaction and squeezes him tight before withdrawing slightly. "Ahh, thank you, that was nice. See? I'm not so bad when you get to know me! 🧡"

"Now, the photo..."

They almost hand it to him before suddenly pulling it back.

"Oh! One more thing!"

They quickly whip out their camera, hug him close to their side, and snap a photo.

Oh? It looks like something else fell out!! (Silly doodle comic under the cut. I couldn't resist.)

An odd looking Viper Ghostface with hearts for eyes saunters up to Felix with something hidden behind their back.

"Heyyyy cutie! 😍 I got something for you on this lovely heart day! 🩷"

From behind their back, a real human heart is revealed, dripping blood and looking rather fresh, and is offered lovingly.

"For you! 💕 Don't worry, I found it! You can pretend it's mine though! Please accept it, because I may break down crying if you don't! And... do you perchance have anything for me in return?" 😍

"Wo hast du...?! No...no, I don't want to know."

Felix tries to ignore the dread tremoring up his spine as he slowly looks from the offered heart to the heart eyes. Oh stars above, the Ghostface actually expected him to take it. How had he even gotten into the camp?

If only breaking down and crying was truly the worst that could happen if he offended the killer by refusing the "gift". The only saving grace was that endless exposure to gore in the trials had desensitised him enough not to retch as he accepted the heart with a grimace.

"I'm afraid I haven't had the chance to...ah, actually." - Felix retrieves a vial labelled 'Murky Reagent' - "Perhaps this can be of some use to you...just don't use it if I'm in the trial, fair?"

"That's very nice, but,"

They tilt their head over and then tap the mask on the cheek beside that too-wide, viper smile.

Felix stands. Though Ghostface still stood a little taller, it was not so pronounced as if it was someone like Deathslinger or Huntress.

"Aww... Well... That's only fair. I can respect that. Right to refuse service and chickens coming home and all that. Sorry if I spooked ya!"

They begin to walk back into the forest with the Murky Reagent in hand and then turn back to wave.
