Coming into 2019, I had 3 New Year Resolutions: 1. Buy a home ✅ 5/30/19 2. Give Birth to a healthy baby✅ 7/6 3. Begin a new tradition with my family in our new home It’s really important for us to teach Taj to celebrate his heritage the same way we acknowledge other holidays like Christmas or Thanksgiving. I’ve never met anyone who celebrated or even knew the principles or symbols of Kwanzaa & that’s just soo unfortunate. How did we allow generations to pass without passing down the traditions of the only holiday that celebrates us?
