How does our mind decide what matters?

currently thinking about how there are certain people or periods of life that are incredibly fast and yet so significant and how there are other people and times that feel less significant. Why is it that some people stand out more although I have known them less? My best friend and I have only known each other for a year whereas I have other people that I've known for longer and hung out with more that feel less important (mutually of course). The same goes for time. I've had months (weeks and days too) that have changed my life drastically and periods that stretch out long and nothing significant happens. I've been in romantic situations with people where a week felt like a month compared to other people. Kisses exchanged that I remember with a sweetness comparatively to ones that I almost forget even occurred. Conversations with strangers that stick with me more than phone calls with family.

In some ways, I guess I do believe in instantaneous love, like the kind that exists inside the women's restroom at a club. Or maybe it's something different than that and it's like at a movie theater after the lights turn on again and I come out knowing we all just experienced the same thing even if it was in a different way. The person sitting next to me could have hated what we watched but at the end of the day, we are still walking out of that theater together. What connects me to the person in the back row who likewise thought it was the best thing they had ever witnessed? Maybe love at first sight, isn't something physical but perhaps a recognition of the soul, two missing pieces finding each other again.

I think I might have been a bear in my past life, because of my penchant for fish and nap taking. So when I meet a raven with its love for shiny things, intelligence, and happy chirps I will look up at him and say:

"what's one more?"

Does anyone else enjoy watching dubs in different languages?

Ok so I fluently speak both english and spanish and sometimes I like to check out shows to see if they have good Spanish dubs (the latam version is almost always better than the spaniard one imo). I know some people did it with shrek growing up but i recently did it with the owl house and omg??? I was p impressed with the dubbing for latam (note that i only watched a few episodes from the first season, so idk what they did in regards to Raine's pronouns for the second season since we still got a ways to go in terms of introducing gender neutral pronouns into everyday speech (elle is what ppl would use but i rarely hear it outside of online spaces)) but in terms of voice acting it was very good.
