the Super Dictionary

I still see some of those same scans floating about tumblr, as well as some newer ones.  I know, however, that there are still many, many quality entries in the Super Dictionary, so I created this blog to share them all with you... the All-New, All-Different Word of the Day!

Rule - Wonder Woman's mother made a rule. She said what must be done. Queens must make many rules. She knew that she must rule her people well. She must lead her people well. She has always ruled that way.

Tap - Lois Lane was going to tap on the door. She was going to knock softly. Before she tapped, the door opened.

Wrinkle - Comet had a wrinkle in his cape. He had a small fold in it. He didn't like the wrinkles in the elephant's skin either. Comet told the elephant not to wrinkle its trunk. He told the elephant not to make deep lines in its trunk. The elephant wrinkled its trunk at Comet anyway.

Up - Batman looked up at the eagle's nest. He looked at the nest that was higher than he was. Then, he climbed up to the nest. He climbed from a low place to a high place. When the eagle saw him, it flew up. It flew away from the nest into the air.

View - There is a wonderful view of the mountains from Jody's camp. There is a wonderful sight of the mountains. Jody likes good views. He and his friends view the mountain goats. They look at the goats. They viewed the goats on top of the mountains.

Batman: Get off the rug. Get off a piece of cloth used to cover a floor. Sometimes, rugs are used like this.

Grandfather - Jody never knew a grandfather. He did not know his mother's father or his father's father. He did not know his grandfathers.

Cow - Teri and Ted Trapper wanted the farmer to get the cow off the road. They wanted him to get the animal that eats grass and gives milk out of the way. Cows can get hurt crossing the road.

El Dragón: How will I ever wrap this up for a birthday present? How will I fold paper all around it? I've never wrapped a present this big before.

Cheer - When Wonder Woman tried to catch the falling baby, the people started to cheer. They started to yell. When she caught the baby just in time, they all cheered loudly.

Divide - Hawkman and Hawkgirl divide an apple. They cut it into two parts of the same size. One time they divided an apple into ten parts.

Pat - Superboy gave Krypto a pat on the head. He tapped him lightly. Krypto wanted more pats. Superboy likes to pat him when he is good. He likes to give Krypto a few soft touches. Krypto patted Superboy with his paw.

Catwoman: Stop! That's the wrong way. That's not the right way to go. Just stay there and don't do anything wrong. Don't do anything bad.

Rubber - Superbaby took a bath with his rubber duck. He played with his duck made of something soft that stretches and keeps out the water.

Tale - Teri Trapper told a strange tale. She told a strange story. Sometimes she makes up scary tales.

Taxicab - Wilson Forbes called for a taxicab. He called for a car that people pay to ride in. Two taxicabs came!
