sanitize your gadgets. (whip out the wet tissue and wipe away at your phone, your laptop, your mouse, your earphones–just don’t forget to IMMEDIATELY follow that up with a dry cloth to prevent fogging and short circuits)

watch a TED Talk.

make a new playlist.

wash your bag.

wash your shoes.

change the sheets of your bed and your pillows.

clip your nails. (honestly)

wax/shave. (if you want. i just really like how fresh my skin feels after i torture it with razors and wax strips)

wipe your shelves/the tops of your furniture clean. (try to avoid dusting. it just scatters the dirt everywhere. use a damp cloth instead)

see if there’s anything in your storage that you don’t need/want anymore and give stuff away or sell them.

review your month and plan the next one accordingly. (just like your weeks. remember to refer to your Life Goal/Year’s Goals page)

finish reading at least one book. (and review it!)

discover new songs.

finally! the end of my almost-three-weeks long hiatus (ive been living in queue for so long) even though i already have a good two spreads completed (´～｀ヾ) just been way too lazy to take good photos because i have to wake up at exactly nine in the morning to do so~

Starting a bullet journal - a tutorial

Tips for anyone who’d like to start a bullet journal but doesn’t know how/where to begin :)

what is soliloquie magazine? soliloquie magazine is a thought i had five months ago at 3am that has not left my head since then. after one failed attempt, i have learned how Difficult it is to make a magazine and my ambitious ass has decided that difficult it ok. 

ok sounds cool ! what makes it special? i’m a writer / creator (lmao i mainly just write stories and photoshop stuff). it’s been hard for me, a 16 year old high schooler, to have someone listen to me.  although writing is something that i love to do, it feels like an inner monologue. i’d rather it be a soliloquy.

um so now we know what the name means but what’s the goal of the actual magazine? i want young creators ! artists ! writers ! photographers ! graphic designers ! anyone who loves doing what they do. i want to put it all together under one theme each issue, and call it a magazine. it’s a simple concept, but it gives people who don’t usually have a platform just that. 

the magazine is going to be published quarterly, every three months, four times a year. each issue will have one theme; for example: beginnings, home, blue, talk, love, etc. all articles will follow that theme. that’s the one rule. everything else is a decision that the creator makes. whether or not they want to write a nonfiction piece about shoes and society, or a three part prose poem about their morning routine, it does not matter. 

the magazine will be published online because y’all,,,, i’m a 16 year old kid. i don’t have that kind of money lmao. we’ll be using issuu as our platform.

the staff will be small. only a maximum of thirty people will be allowed on the team so that a free flow of ideas is easy. it will be a community of people who are working together to create a final piece of their own work.

ten writers, ten artists, five graphic designers, and five editors are wanted. because this is a tiny group with a big job, willingness to commit time is important. there is no profit, and this is just a random project that a random girl on the internet is making, so i don’t want to be like You Have To Spend 25 Hours A Day On This, but an average of two hours each week should be enough. 

writers: expected to write one article each issue. this can be a ten page story, or a one page poem. it’s really up to you what you want to write but the only thing i ask of you is that you should want to write. you should have ideas and be excited to actually type some shit. apply here.

artists: expected to contribute an article and some smaller projects each issue. any medium is welcome. an article would be defined by a spread, and smaller projects would most likely be some doodles or a cover page photograph. artists also follow the theme. apply here.

graphic designers: design the actual magazine !! i have an aesthetic in mind, but its loose and it’ll be you guys who actual create it. you should have photoshop, or illustrator, or some kind of program that allows you to create spreads. apply here.

editors: read two articles each issue. you should be able to contribute insightful comments without destroying the writer’s voice. it shouldn’t just be grammar (but boy,,,, that’s also important), you should have some kind of effective and significant suggestions ! apply here.

contributors: if you would like to contribute to the magazine but don’t have enough time to join the staff, that’s ok! all you have to do is fill out the form and you will be notified anytime there are submission opportunities. apply here.

all formal communication will be done through email. if you’re not comfortable sharing your current email address with a group of strangers on the internet, that’s understandable. however, if you are chosen, i would advise you to make a new email address. obviously, that doesn’t have to be done now but ! just so you know. also, there will be a group chat on either imessage or skype. slack / discourse might also be used for formal quick communication. 

i will contact everyone whether or not you are chosen for the magazine ! 

staff members will be chosen a month from today, on november 30th. the first magazine issue should be published on march 1st, which should give us enough time to put everything together.
