Silas Orion "Silo" Curry

Silas Orion Curry is a mutant who never made it to Xavier's school. He has extreme pattern-sensing abilities, to the point he can predict the future, in both dreams and gut feelings. Though he cannot change the future, he can manipulate physical patterns that appear in the form of mechanical and electromagnetic waves. With this, he is basically a human EMF detector, and he can also change the way light hits or absorbs, causing change in the appearance of objects. He can manipulate sound making it sound louder, softer, steadier, changing the frequency of pitch, etc. And while he cannot read minds or change the brain directly, he can alter perception with these techniques.

When he was a child, he began having dreams of humanity destroying itself, though at the time he wasn't sure of specifics. As he grew, he continued to have bad feelings as the world changed and tensions grew. Shortly after graduating high school early, he ran away from his parents' house and hitchhiked around, due to a delusion that he was the second coming and had to run away to gain a following. His best friend died of suicide and that was when he decided to get help for the depression that followed, which inadvertently helped him with delusional thinking as well. Still wanting to do what he (this time, more logically) could about the pain in the world, he gathered friends he knew -some with various forms of superpowers and some without- and led them to become an anonymous community service group and neighborhood watch, under the alias SunStar. This is where he stands today, firmly on the side of, "Be human and just as importantly, be humane."

He now works as a museum floor staff at a science museum and a lightspeed fencing coach, and he is in college for anthropology/ethnobotany with the goal of becoming a museum educator and working for a nonprofit.

He lives with his platonic partner, as well as his romantic partner, their partner, and their kid. They have a sort of 'modern full-house' situation where the whole family co-parents.

Silo is spiritual and believes all gods are real in the minds of humanity and that shared social beliefs are an extremely powerful thing that can ultimately alter our individual realities.

He holds down two jobs - Lightspeed fencing coach and educator at a museum. He has a degree in anthropology/ethnobotany and uses it for work and for healing purposes on missions.
