Medicine Ball Caravan (1971) dir. François Reichenbach
In which Warner Bros hired a bunch of rent-a-hippies to paint some buses and drive around the US to different music festivals hoping to get Woodstock: The Sequel. Instead they ended up an absolute mess of a movie that Martin Scorsese had to piece together from footage that was almost completely incoherent.
B.B. King, Doug Kershaw, and Alice Cooper's performances made it worth watching though. The tie-dyed tipis... less so. If Altamont was the death of the 60s dream then Medicine Ball Caravan was its parodic gaudy ghost.
Had to grab the soundtrack for $6 though!
