Cause He's Stronger Than You Know

“Don’t judge me, Otoyan.”

   ♪ ; “ITTOKI-KUN perfect timing! D-do you happen to know what a switch is?”

“Don’t look at me like that, I didn’t start it.”

God, it had been way too long since he’d been able to indulge like this. Eiichi shut his eyes tight, completely focusing on the feeling of Otoya’s lips against his own with nails slightly pressing into the other’s back. “Don’t hold back, Otoya.” He mumbled through the kiss, lips parting more following those words.

“What else would I do, after all? I’m not about to let you flounder through it on your own. However…” Tokiya tapped his lip in thought with a finger. “None of that instant cake mix junk. We’re doing this properly, from scratch.” It may still be a purely sugary dessert, but he felt better making it from scratch then taking the easy route, and it was for Otoya’s boyfriend after all. Shouldn’t it be only the best for a lover?

“Come on. Let’s go shopping.” He grasped Otoya’s arm to pull him off toward a nearby supermarket that he liked to visit, all the while making a mental list of the ingredients a cake would call for.

Raising a brow, he pinched slightly at Otoya’s cheek playfully, “I’m not the one who’s red-faced here.” He replied, before he’d proceeded to munch on the stick of pocky again. This would put him in close enough vicinity to close the gap fully in just a bit more, but he decided to see what Otoya would do instead, giving a teasing smirk around the sweet treat.

Tokiya gave a sigh, rubbing at his forehead as he pulled back from Otoya. Tapping his foot, he closed his eyes.

“You’ll do fine, it’s just cake. How hard can it be?” A huff, and he was looking at the other properly again. “Anyway… we’ll have to shop for ingredients most likely, I don’t have everything you’ll need I don’t think.” 

“Ah, that’s it, hm… then maybe…” He’s thinking now, he should probably do the same sort of thing with Eiji. He’ll do it for his boyfriend’s sake…a bit of sugary food for the holidays is to be expected in the first place.

But of course his thought process was getting away from him when he started thinking about his lover and he gave himself a brief shake to clear his head.

“Making a cake isn’t that hard. I’ll find my recipe book, and we can make it in my place… However, isn’t Christmas a while off yet?” He didn’t want to mess up the kitchen of the condo Eiji was housed in, even if he’d clean afterwards.

“Otoya, wait a–!” 

At least he saw it coming when the call of his name was heard, but even as he caught hold of the other man he stumbled to hold them both upright due to being practically tackled and almost knocked off his feet once again.

“What’s this about a cake? I mean… yes, I do, but why?” It was easy enough, at least if he double checked proper directions.

There was a happy hum, before Eiichi’s hand moved up to rest at Otoya’s cheek as he munched the pocky slowly without waiting. For the moment, he wanted to savor it to make kissing his boyfriend all that much better.
