My ancestors would have wanted pasteurization, vaccines, antibiotics, disinfectants, birth control, psychiatric medications, pain management, anesthesia. My ancestors would have wanted to be able to keep their loved ones around longer, and not lose them too early/too soon to childbirths, injuries, bacterial infections, mental illnesses, and diseases that are curable and/or preventable in our modern day life.

DAY TWO: Which deity did you most recently start worshipping? Were you called to them or did you reach out first? Do you think there were specific reasons behind why you were drawn to them?
Dionysus is the most recent. I've felt called to him, no clue why but i'm just rolling with the punches !!
So anyway the other post with the mosaics is mine but here are some other mosaics I picked out from the book to share. Still happy to go through more closely.
King Neptune
King Neptune and his marriage to Queen Amphitrite
King Jupiter (the first one for sure, the second is speculated to be him)
Romulus, Remus, and the She-Wolf with a horse
Lady Diana
Odysseus
Iâm going to do a separate post for Lord Dionysus because there are so many of them.

I thought this was a really cute idea! shoutout to @wisdom-devotee for creating these questions!
DAY ONE: Who was the first deity you began worshipping? Do you still worship them now? If this has been answered before: how has your worship changed since last year?
Technically the first deity I began worshiping was Aphrodite, and while I still love her, and plan to continue worshipping her, right now I'm really only worshipping Apollon, Hermes, and Dionysus directly.
As for how my worship has changed since last year... well.. this time last year I was taking classes to convert to Catholicism so you could say it's changed quite a bit.
Anyone can participate regardless of how long youâve been a Hellenic polytheist! My hope is to use these questions to reflect on the year, and repeat next year to see what has changed, and hopefully to continue doing that every year!
Answer in as much or as little detail as you see fit. You are allowed to skip any questions that you are uncomfortable answering. These questions can also apply to heroes, not just deities. You can pick specific deities to answer each one, or answer the questions with all the deities you worship. This might apply to other Pantheons and Iâm happy for it to be used as such. Feel free to tweak some of the questions to fit those pantheons if youâd like!
Please link this list on your posts with your answers so that it is easy for others to find if they want to participate too after seeing your answers.
THIS IS TO BE DONE DURING DECEMBER, IâM JUST POSTING THE LIST NOW SO PEOPLE CAN FIND IT!
Have fun!

Phoebus, of you even the swan sings with clear voice to the beating of his wings, as he alights upon the bank by the eddying river Peneus; and of you the sweet-tongued minstrel, holding his high-pitched lyre, always sings both first and last. And so hail to you, lord! I seek your favour with my song.
