Infinity Nikki 1.9—What We Know So Far

This post aims to round-up what we know so far about the upcoming version 1.9 update. Please note these are based on publicly available official information and a mixed of my on interpretation based on the official videos. I may miss something here and there, if you spot anything that I missed please let me know. 🥺

TLDR:

The Floating Island—build houses and decorate island, save house design and share as template.

Five New Abilities—building, planting, fish rearing, animal playtime (?), star catching.

Abilities Fusion—combine new abilities with other abilities to make new ability that unlock new capability.

Infinity Nikki x Stardew Valley Collab—new outfit, accessory, and furniture.

New Optimisation—Sea of Stars Map & Co-op Feature Improvement, PS5 Performance Mode unlocks 60FPS, New Quality-of-Life features.

The Floating Island

The island is about 90000m₂.

Can build multiple houses.

Can decorate the whole island.

Multiple terrains on the island.

There are some sort of Fairy-like NPCs on the island.

Can invite another Nikki, NPCs, and animals.

Take picture of furniture in open-world to obtain furniture sketches—which you can later craft the same furniture and use on the island.

Player can save house design and share them with other players as template.

Player can download templates and tweak them to their own liking.

Five New Abilities and More Fusion Ability

Building

1. Building ability will allow you to build houses, adjust furniture's position, size, and rotation. 2. Fusing Building and Floating ability will let you build floating houses.

Planting

1. Planting ability let you grow crops. 2. Fusing Planting and Purification ability will let you plant crops in masses. 3. When seeds are planted, there will be an indicator for the planted seed type and growth timer—you can interact with it to check too.

Fish Rearing

1. Most likely, we have to build fish ponds. 2. We will be able to feed fishes. 3. Can use shrinking ability to catch/interact fish with Momo (?).

Animals Playtime (?)

1. Listen to animal's song—mini-game (?). 2. Invite animals to home island.

Star-catching

1. The ability allow you to find lost star on the island. 2. Lost star can also be fished with the fishing rod.

Optimisation In 1.9
