surprise  !!  I lied  !!  one last thing if you don’t think Gawain is more then willing to take the steps to try  &&  make up with Lancelot if nothing else then for Arthur then we didn’t read the same material  &&  idk what google page you found but That’s Just Fact.  no matter his own grudges Gawain is loyal to Arthur before anyone else  &&  if making up with Lancelot is enough to help mend some of what he blames himself for breaking then he will at least try to fix that gap.  Gawain is a lot of things but he’s not dense  &&  he’s not so selfish as to pretend otherwise

&&  you know what even though I’m typing in plain ass english I hope everyone knows Gawain does actually have an accent  &&  I am not retconning that it’s to him to ignore kfdsjhg

also as long as I’m here Gawain also is incredibly proud.  proud of who he is  &&  his heritage  &&  those he trusts  &&  to ignore those things in favor of jokes ain’t happening here.  I don’t know how many people have finished Camelot yet but there’s this one scene after you defeat him for the last time where Gawain says like “this is what I get for being an unfaithful knight”  &&  it really drives home his belief  (  in my mind  )  that the grudges of his past are what he blames on Arthur’s eventual demise.  he was so proud to be a knight  &&  sit in Arthur’s court  &&  that pride, while still incredibly present, is diluted in order to try  &&  make himself back into someone he can be  ??  idk if this makes sense but proud of that pride again.  Gawain has never been anyone but himself to the fullest extent  ---  he keeps his accent he stands by his choices even when they weren’t the best  ---  &&  that pride is so tied to his loyalty  &&  how he sees his place  &&  I am not about to start downplaying his own  (  although tampered  )  belief because Camelot out there saying Gawain is subservient to Agravain or something.  no matter how much Gawain loves  &&  is loyal to his brothers he’s not about to ditch his own pride in order to play by their rules; he literally gets into fights with his brothers in arthuriana enough to drive that point home  &&  dw can suck a dick

anyway theme of the night is I'm salty  &&  Gawain deserves better then people give him because he’s “the dumb one”  &&  “the one who sleeps around”  (  motions @ arthuriana miss me with that shit  )  &&  “just a big oaf” when his complexities lay in how he has come to learn from what he thought was true  &&  move on past his grudges for the betterment of those he is so fiercely loyal to  &&  that's the tea

I also just want to say if you came to this blog expecting a womanizer that’s not at all what you are going to get.  Gawain certainly isn’t against sleeping around or what have you  (  chaotic bisexual who loves people in his own way smh  )  but he also is respectful  &&  I’m tired of that narrative of a guy being nice = he wants sex.  especially since we have a whole ass story that can get broken down to  “Gawain turns a woman down for three days as she aggressively propositions him at every turn”  ---  just cause someone might sleep with a few people does not make them a sex fiend or whatever fanon is out there professing to the masses.  he’s going to be respectful to your muse  &&  while he may be a flirt it’s not with the intentions of “oh yeah I'm gonna sleep with that one” its playful  &&  friendly  &&  not out to get in someone’s pants.  I don’t really care if this isn’t your view of him I just ask you be respectful about it on this blog
