I’m gonna be honest, Bulkhead should have been a lot better at setting boundaries when it came to Wheeljack’s recklessness and tendency of putting others in danger. Same thing with Miko and her own habits. Having him realize he can’t be so lenient with them anymore, especially when it comes to their safety and well-being, would have been a nice development for his character.
I would have liked a scene where Bulkhead confronts Miko and Wheeljack about their revenge mission against Hardshell. He’s upset with her for doing something so dangerous, and at his old friend for allowing her to be in those situations.
Even if they say they did it for him, it doesn’t make him feel better at all. Bulkhead finally puts his foot down and gives Miko the reprimand she’s been needing for a while. He even tells Wheeljack he doesn’t want him around her until he understands that she could have easily died and that he can’t be so laidback with her safety.
Miko finally gets it through her head that her way of doing things isn’t right and starts rethinking on how to approach matters more seriously. As for Wheeljack, he comes to terms that Bulkhead isn’t the same bot he was all those years ago and that it might be time to work on some things himself. Starting with being more cautious around their very fragile humans allies.
