âKoala, I made it to my informant. I will call you back later.â Sabo informed his partner, who was on the other side of the transponder snail, before hanging up when he reached the bar entrance.
âAlright. Hopefully she doesnât hate me.â He murmured to himself before opening the door.
The bar was loud from all the pirates that were drinking their sorrows away. He glanced around the packed bar only to see his informant pouring drinks behind the counter.Â
Sabo quickly checked his hair in the dirty window before quietly making his way to the bartender, who had yet to notice him..Â
Once Sabo got to the counter, he knocked on it 3 times; it was their little code they came up with. His informant, who was a few feet away, turned her head when she heard the code. She looked at Sabo, who gave her a little smile before glancing away to act like another patron wanting to drink.
She rolled her eyes when he smiled at her. He was on a short leash, after his last visit a few months ago. She walked down to him before setting a glass in front of him.
âPick your poison, asshat,â she told him.Â
He just grimaced at her tone with him. He could tell he messed up and she wasnât letting him forget it.Â
âJust a beer, beautiful.âÂ
She squinted her eyes at his flirty response; she was pissed, and he thought some sweet words would fix it.
âCall me beautiful again, or Iâll rip your tongue out.â She spat at him before opening up a bottle of beer and slamming it on the counter.
âIs this about last time? That wasnât my call.â He tried to tell her, but she just rolled her eyes at the clichĂŠ response.Â
âBullshit. Do you know how long I waited at that restaurant only for you to be a no-show? You played me like a fool, and I refuse to fall for it again.â
Sabo just sighed at her words, knowing she didnât mean it. She threatened stuff all the time, but he was always able to smooth it over while they rolled around in bed.
âHow about a do-over?â Sabo asked her, trying to find a middle ground.
âDidnât you hear me? Iâm done.â She told him before attempting to walk away, only for him to quickly grab her arm.
âPlease, beautiful.âÂ
âWhat do you want?â She tiredly asked him while setting her hands down on the counter and getting close to his face.
Sabo was quiet for a few moments. He just stared at her beautiful face before taking a gloved finger and moving some hair out of her face. Sabo was surprised that she let him make that move. It proved that she wasnât mad at him, just disappointed.Â
âI want another chance at that date.â he started to tell her before going in for the kill, âI need information.â
She just stared at him in disbelief. He had balls for coming into her bar asking for a re-do while also needing information.Â
âSERIOUSLY!? Is information the only reason you came?â She started to yell out before lowering her voice when curious eyes landed on them.
Sabo froze when he realized that he just pissed her off more. He closed his eyes to internally kick his own ass.
âGreat, just great.â Sabo thought to himself. âI just pissed her off moreâ
âNo, no. Itâs not the only reason.â He weakly said to try and calm her down.
She just stared at him, waiting for him to come up with another reason. His mind went blank at trying to come up with a response. He knew that he just screwed himself.
âWhen does your shift end?â Sabo asked her.
She glanced up at the clock and saw that it read 8:47 pm.Â
âIn 13 minutes,â was all she told him before walking away to serve some new patrons who came in.
She could feel his eyes follow her when she walked out from behind the counter with a tray full of drinks that her coworker made.Â
Sabo gritted his teeth while watching all the men checking her ass out and wolf whistling. He was happy that she wasnât affected by any of it. It may not affect her, but it royally pissed him off. She belonged to him, and him alone. He wasnât the type to share his prize.
The chief of staff turned back to his beer while lost in thought on how to make a claim on her that showed other men that she was taken.Â
The sound of cheering broke him out of his planning; his eyes instinctively found her standing at a table. He glanced down to see a man on the floor groaning in pain while holding his âfamily jewelsâ.
Sabo watched as his girl crouched down to speak with the groaning man. He couldnât help but glance down at her rear that was sticking out.
âNext time, keep your hands to yourself.â Sabo heard her say before turning around to act like he wasnât watching her when she started to head this way.
âI know you were watching.â was all she told him before walking into a bathroom.Â
She came back out without her apron and grabbed her bag that was underneath the bar counter. She stopped in front of Sabo while fluffing up her hair.
âLetâs go.âÂ
Sabo stared at her in confusion before it dawned on him, and he downed the rest of his beer. He gestured to her to lead the way before following behind.
While they were walking down the street, Sabo cleared his throat to clear the awkward feeling in the air.
âHave you heard anything about the Straw Hat Pirates?â He asked her while setting a hand on her lower back to guide her through a crowded area.
âNot much. Anything special in particular?âÂ
âTheir last location or where they plan on going next.âÂ
âLast I heard, it was that they had teamed up with the Heart Pirates and were headed to Dressrosa.â She told him before walking down an alley to get out of sight of prying eyes.
âDressrosa? Why are they going there?â Sabo asked her while leaning on the wall across from her.Â
âMaybe because Doflamingo is there. Trafalgar and Trafalgar have history. And rumor has it that the war lord has the flame flame devil fruit."
She was quiet for a few minutes while she let Sabo stew in his thoughts. She didnât know what he was thinking, but from the concentrated look on his face, it was important.
âThank you,â he told her after a few minutes.
âLet me guess, you are going to leave and not come back until you need more information?â
Sabo looked over at her once she asked him that. He didnât want to leave her without making it up to her. He stepped over to her and set a hand on her waist while the other rested above her head. He was essentially blocking her from leaving.
He leaned down to stare her in the eyes to get a reaction from his next words.
âHow about I stay the night, and make it up to you?â He asked her, slowly caressing her thigh with a gloved hand.
âYou gotta earn it.â She whispered to him before leaning up to place her lips on his.
Sabo froze for a quick moment before feverishly returning the kiss. After making out in the alley for a few minutes, the once hot, messy kiss slowed down before coming to a stop.Â
Both of them were breathing hard at what just happened. Sure, theyâve kissed before, but this time, it felt like all the unanswered questions and feelings finally made sense.
They stared at each other for a moment before he leaned in to place his lips back onto hers. Her lips were like a drug, and he couldnât get enough of her. She eagerly returned the kiss while setting one of her hands on his neck and the other trailing down to his belt.
The sound of the belt clinking caught his attention before he pulled back and stepped away from her to try and calm himself down. All he wanted to do was take her in the alley, but he wanted to worship her, taste her, and take his time with her to show that the risk was worth it.Â
âYour place?â He asked her before she quickly grabbed his hand and tugged him out of the alley. She was on a mission to get to her house before anything interrupted them.
As soon as they reached her house and made it through the front door, only then did Sabo pushed her against the wall before using his foot to slam the door shut. He set his hands underneath her thighs and lifted her to begin the small trek to her room.Â
Once they got to her room, he threw her onto the bed before walking to shut the bedroom door. He didnât want anyone to see her in any of the positions he was fixing to have her in.
Sabo walked back over to the bed and gently pushed her down before lying on top of her. He eagerly set his lips onto hers while his hands slowly explored her body.
His gloved hand gently brushed over her already hardened nipples, which caused her to shamelessly let out a moan at the feeling.
He released her lips to let her breath only for him to start kissing down her neck before latching on to a spot and sucking hard. He was trying to leave a mark on her, so it showed others that she was claimed.Â
âYou getting your dessert?â She teasingly asked him, which made him release her neck to look in her eyes.
âYou know Iâll be getting my dessert,â was all he told her before giving her a quick kiss on the lips.Â
He tugged at her shirt, which caused her to sit up and yank it off, only for him to see that she didnât have anything on underneath.Â
Sabo leaned back just a little to admire the breathless beauty that he had underneath him. She looked like a breath of fresh air that came after a thunderstorm.Â
âStrip,â Sabo commanded her before taking his own clothes off. He wanted to continue teasing her, but he was far too impatient.
Once she had all of her clothes off, Sabo admired her fully naked body. He was ready to ravish her.
All he knew was that once he got his hands on her, she would be broken and filthy. But she would be fully his, and his alone.Â
âYou are all mine. Your lips are mine.â He says to her before running his thumb over her bottom lip. He slowly trailed it down to her breast before pinching her nipples, which made her let out a loud moan at the sensation.
âYour tits are mine, your ass is mine.â He told her while squeezing her ass in his hands.Â
âThis pussy belongs to me,â was all he told her before sliding his fingers past her slippery folds. She was so wet that his fingers were instantly drenched. She moaned at the sensation of his fingers inside her. She was getting really tired of the teasing.
âEverything about you belongs to me, and me alone.âÂ
He slipped his fingers out of her before licking them clean. She tasted heavenly, in his opinion. Sabo could easily spend all day between her thighs.
âStand up.â
She followed his direction before he slowly guided her to kneel before him. She feasted her eyes on his cock that was standing at full attention.
âLooks like someone needs a little bit of attention.â She teasingly told him before taking him fully in her mouth.Â
He threw his head back at the sensation of her mouth engulfing him. She slowly lowered her head to take as much of him as possible. He let out a groan when he hit the back of her throat before she started to suck and lick- slowly at first, but quickly building up to a rhythm that had her bobbing her head up and down with eagerness to please.
His hand shot to the back of her head, and he willed himself not to cum this early. He needed to hold off as long as he possibly could so he could show her what he was made of. But her hot, wet mouth was proving it to be a challenge.
The vibrations from her moaning traveled all the way up his spine. He started to thrust into her mouth faster and faster until the only sounds in the room were her gagging and his ragged breaths.
He pulled out at the last second and came all over her face and chest, the white streaks coating all over her skin in a glistening sheen. His orgasm was burning through him, wild and hot.Â
âThatâs it,â Sabo growled out before gently pulling her up off the floor, only for him to push her against the wall. He bent down to set her thighs onto his shoulders before pushing himself up to press her back against the wall.Â
He swiped his tongue over her glistening pussy that was soaking wet and ready for his attention. He flattened his tongue against her clit, shifting from long, slow licks to fast licks.
Sabo feasted on her like a dying man who was starving. He pushed a finger inside her, curling it, trying to find the spot that would make her go wild.
He knew he found it when she started to buck her hips up into his face. He kept probing that spot while her hips kept bucking faster and faster before she grabbed his head and held it to her so she could get that sweet release.Â
Sabo gently nipped her sensitive nub with his tongue, and then it was all over. He glanced up to see her head tilted back while her mouth was wide open.Â
She looked down at Sabo only to see him smiling like a cat that got cream. He slowly lowered her legs down until her feet were flat on the floor.Â
âAm I forgiven?â Sabo asked her.
âI suppose. Only if you stay the night with me.â She told him before walking over to the bed and lying down on it.Â
She didnât even put any clothes on; she was as naked as the day she was born, and he absolutely loved that. He walked over to lie right next to her before placing his lips on the side of her neck. She tipped her head to the side, letting him have his way with her.Â
âDid you not get enough?â She breathlessly asked him, and all he gave her was a hum.
After a few minutes, he left one last kiss on her neck before leaning back to admire his artwork that was all over her neck.
âNow everyone will know who you belong to.âÂ
Sabo climbed up to where the pillows were before lying down on his back and spreading his arms open. It was an invitation for her to come and cuddle with him.
She crawled over before throwing a leg over his naked waist and placing herself right on top. She glanced down at him through lidded eyes before leaning down to place a kiss right below his navel.
âYou sure?â He breathlessly asked her.Â
âOh. Iâm sure,â was all she told him before setting her lips onto his waiting ones.Â
They lazily made out for a few minutes before the beauty above him started to move back and forth. He set his hands on her waist to help guide her. She could feel his cock brushing over her pussy, she couldnât wait for him to be inside her.
She reached down to grasp him and guide him to her aching hole before he slid in her. The action made both of them moan at the feeling of each other. He was hard and throbbing, while she was wet and needy.
Once she got over the initial shock, she started to rotate her hip very slowly to tease him. He was tired of the teasing before grasping her and flipping her over to where she was underneath him.Â
âYou thought you could take control? I donât think so, beautiful.âÂ
Once they got the neediness out of their system, they were lying in bed together. She was laying on his arm that was behind her head while playing with his fingers on his other hand. The room was quiet except for the sounds of them breathing.Â
âWhat now?â She asked Sabo, who looked down at her.Â
âWell, we can either go our separate ways and never speak of this again, or I can take you out on a proper date.âÂ
She went quiet for a few moments before grabbing his attention when she saw his eyes were closed.
âOption 2.â was all she told him before laying her head on his naked chest and closing her eyes.Â
What she didnât see was the shit-eating grin Sabo had on his face. He finally had the girl of his dreams in his arms, and he would be damned if he let her get away again. He laid his head back onto the pillow before pulling the sleeping girl tighter into his arms and closing his eyes to get some well-needed rest after all the exercise they went through.

A/N: I created my first Marco One-shot and I'm pretty happy with how it came out. If there are any mistakes, please let me know. Enjoy.

It had been a long day, and Marco was more than ready to be home. He had been dealing with patients all day and he just wanted to spend a quiet evening with his soon-to-be- wife. He walked up the steps of the white porch that was peeling from old age. He went to unlock the door when he heard humming from inside. Marco peered over to glance through the living room window only to see his fiancee in the kitchen working on dinner for the night. He smiled at her slowly dancing in place while stirring something in the pot that was on the stove. Marco tapped on the glass window, and waved when she noticed him looking at her. She waved her hand in return before motioning for him to come inside the house; he held up his hands and walked back to the front door, unlocking it and walked through the frame inside the warm house.
He took his shoes off at the door, to slip on some slippers since she was a stickler for shoes being inside. It was one of her pet peeves, walking through the house in shoes that could track all kinds of stuff that people walk and unconsciously pick up on the paths. The first time he walked inside with his shoes on, she chased after him through the town with a wooden spoon while yelling all kinds of curse words at him. That was the first and last time he ever walked through the house with shoes on.
Once the slippers were on his feet, he treaded over to the kitchen and snuck up behind his fiancee only for her to jump when he wrapped his arms around her waist. He set his chin on her shoulder and looked down at the pot of some sort of liquid that she was stirring. Whatever she was making, it had his mouth watering at just the smell alone. If the smell was enough to make his mouth water, he was excited and curious to see what it would taste like.
âWhat are you making?â He quietly asked her before pressing a kiss that was as light as a feather to the base of her neck where it met with her shoulder. The motion made her try to squirm to get out of his grip, but it only made him tighten the grip so she couldnât escape.
âSome soup. My stomach hasnât been feeling too good today so I figured we could have soup and bread for dinner.â She told him before setting the spoon she was using down onto the counter to turn around in his arms.
She looked up at his tired, but handsome face. She could tell her husband-to-be had a rough day just by the look on his face.Â
âRough day?â she gently asked him while setting her hand on his cheek. She rubbed it back and forth, the motion itself put him in a sleepy trance. He leaned his head into her hand and closed his eyes in contempt. He could have stayed there for a long time if the timer for the stove didnât go off. Marco opened his eyes before stepping back a little so she could turn back around to stir the pot. He wrapped his arms back around her waist, before whispering in her ear.
âYouâre making it wrong.â He whispers in her ear, she just smacks his head with a spare spoon that she had laying on the counter.Â
âQuit telling me how to cook.â was all she told him before she turned back to the pot she was stirring. Marco just laughs a little at how defensive she got before releasing her waist and gently pulling her back from the stove. He sets his hands on her shoulder to gently push her out of the kitchen and towards the couch in the living room.
âYou, go and rest. I can finish up with dinner.â Marco tells her before leaving her to go finish up the dinner.
She stares at his back while he is in the kitchen cooking. He could feel her stare, and decided to ignore it for now as he had a task he had to finish up. Marco turned the stove off, took the pot off the hot burner and set it on a pot holder that she had placed out earlier on when she first started to cook dinner.Â
A few minutes later, he had the table set with plates and the pot of soup was in the middle of the table with a plate of bread next to it. He walked over where she was relaxing and gently took her hand to help pull her up on her feet. Marco pulled her over to her chair where she normally sat, he pulled the chair out and let her sit down before pushing it back in. He walked around the table to his seat that was directly across from her and sat in it.
Neither of them talked for a few minutes, they were too busy savoring the meal that they had cooked âtogetherâ. Marco went to grab another slice of bread before noticing his soon-to-be wife stirring her spoon around in the bowl. He set the bread down on his plate before directing his entire attention over to her.
âIs the food not good? I followed the recipe that you had out.â he asked her.
âItâs really good. Iâm just not feeling too good right now.â was all she told him before she started to scoot her chair back so she could go lay down and rest.
Marco jumps out of his chair and hurries over to her side to help her up so she wouldnât strain herself.Â
âBe carefulâ he murmurs to her while helping her up out of the chair.
She just laughs at how protective he was being towards her. Marco was making sure nothing happened to her and their little bird. She sets her hand on her round belly which catches his attention. He sets his hand on the middle of her swollen stomach and softly rubs it.Â
âMarco.â She starts to say, âI'm pregnant, not fragile.â
He shakes his head in denial at what she told him. In his mind, she was doing something so extraordinary that she should be treated like a queen.Â
âLittle bird, you are doing something so amazing that you shouldnât have to worry about lifting a finger for anything. Let me carry the weight.â He tells her before walking towards their room so she could lay down and rest for the night.Â
She sat down on the bed and she just watched him fuss around her. He was making sure she had enough pillows so she would be comfortable, making sure she had her crocheting stuff within reach if she felt like doing something crafty. He had left the room for only a quick moment before returning with a glass of water which he sat on her nightstand. Marco took a step back to admire his work, before giving himself a pat on the back at how comfy she looked.
âIâm going to clean up from dinner. If you need me for anything, please just say my name.â he tells her before leaving her to her own devices. He hurried back to the kitchen as quick as he could. He hated leaving her for long periods, anything could happen in the short time he would be gone.Â
Sometimes it was hard to take the pirate out of someone after doing it for so long. All he knew was the sea, healing his crew members, and protecting the crew whenever a clueless pirate attacked them. When she told him that they were expecting, he didnât know what to expect. He had a high bounty, he never knew when a bounty hunter or a rookie pirate crew looking to make a name for themselves would come looking for him.Â
If anyone came for him and tried to mess with his family, he would show them the true colors of what the Bird-Bird fruit could do. Marco wasnât going to let anything happen to his little family, he would make sure of that.
Once Marco finished with all the dishes and cleaned up the dining room, he closed up the house and double checked all the windows and doors before heading to the bedroom. He got to the room, and he slowly opened the door only to peek in to see her fast asleep in their shared bed. Marco quietly snuck in the room to get ready for the night. He took his glasses off and set them on his nightstand before laying down next to her.
Marco laid there for a few moments with his eyes closed just taking in deep breaths at how relaxing it was to lay down after being on his feet working most of the day. He rolled over onto his side, and he set an arm across his soon-to-be wifeâs waist.Â
She slowly came to only for her to scoot closer to the warmth that Marco radiated from his body. She couldnât tell if it was just his body that was warm or if it was a pro of his devil fruit. Either way she wasnât complaining at that moment. The warmth made the room even cozier than it was which made her get even more sleepy if that was even possible.
âGoodnight little bird.â Marco quietly whispered in her ear before tightening his grip around her and closing his eyes for the night. He had everything he ever wanted right here at this moment.
hi! I really love your "not-so-secret" format and I find it real funny, I would like to ask you if you can write something like that for Benn Beckman or if you are more at ease for Shanks, either way I would love itâ¤ď¸ thank you and you are amazingđŤś
Not-So-Secret (Beckman x Reader)
One Piece | Beckman | 3.3k | Masterlist
A newspaper landed on the table, spun around twice and stopped perfectly in front of you. You lifted your glass before it could be knocked off and shuffled forward to see what had been brought over. Shanks paused his conversation with Lucky Roux next to you and tilted his head toward it.
âNotice anything?â Benn asked.
Shanks spun it around to face him, grin proud. âThatâs a good photo. Maybe I can ask them to replace my bounty one with it.â
âHave they finally raised mine to something decent?â you asked.
Benn put his hand over it and tapped the headline next to it. âNo.â
You immediately burst into laughter, head tipped back in mirth, joined a second later by Shanks. He tossed his arm over your shoulders and grinned.
âWhat a title,â he said. âThe secret wife of an emperor?â
You smiled at Benn through your eyelashes. âWhy didnât you tell me about your promotion, love? This must be a world first. Two emperors on one crew.â
He gave you an unimpressed look. âIt would seem your wedding ring has been given to somebody else.â
Shanks looked down at your hand and beamed. âYou should have told me she was available.â
âShe isnât.â
âToo late. Says here weâre married,â he said, letting go of your shoulders and returning your personal space. âThough I canât remember our wedding. Maybe we should have another party in celebration. Do you want a dress?â
âAbsolutely,â you said. âBut you know this is just to sell papers, right?â
âAnd because you enable him,â Benn told you.
âI would never. Captain?â
âYes?â
âIf weâre having a wedding party, weâll need at least an islandâs worth of alcohol. Otherwise, this is going to be a very boring celebration.â
Shanks beamed at the excuse to have a party. âAnything for my lovely wife.â
âDonât,â Benn corrected.
Shanks grinned in response. âDonât be so bitter, Beck. You had your turn.â
âThe wife of an emperor surely gets a higher bounty, right?â you asked Lucky who just chuckled.
âNot sure thatâs how bounties work.â
âIt should be.â
It stopped being a wedding party almost as soon as the crew reached the next island.
Nobody on the crew really cared to organise anything vaguely resembling a ceremony when you reached the next island. But there was music loud enough to carry along the beach, tables steadily disappearing beneath bottles, and enough food to keep everyone happy. That was more than a sufficient reason for the Red Hair Pirates to celebrate.
Your main complaint was the sand swallowing your shoes with every step. It made walking far more difficult than it had any right to be.
Shanks was having no such difficulties as he moved around the party. He ended up next to the fire, one arm thrown around Yasopp and laughing loud enough to drown out the waves. A few of the local women had joined the celebration, seemingly very pleased with the attention they were getting from your supposed husband.
It was honestly funny how quickly the evening had changed from a wedding party into a just-for-fun one the moment a pretty face had asked.
You lifted your drink to the rest of the crew.
The bar had been assembled from two uneven tables near the edge of the beach. You helped yourself to another drink before reaching for a familiar bottle and pouring a second. The sharp smell rising from the glass made you wrinkle your nose.
But it wasnât for you yet. It was just an excuse to make your way over to Benn where he was standing against one of the palms that lined the beach.
The bonfireâs light reached him only faintly, catching against the smoke curling around his face before the darkness swallowed it. His cigarette glowed whenever he took a drag and you used the faint light to navigate your way across the uneven sand to him.
Why had you chosen such impractical shoes for this?
He inclined his head as you approached, gaze dropping briefly to your unsteady progress through the sand.
âHad too much to drink?â
You rolled your eyes. âThe sand is deep.â
âSure.â
âI havenât even stumbled,â you defended yourself.
His mouth twitched slightly.
The area he was standing on was thankfully a little less cruel and you stopped beside him, leaning your shoulder against his arm. He shifted just enough to make the angle more comfortable for you without looking down. The celebration was only growing louder and you were certain it wouldnât stop until the morning arrived.
It would be a nice day on deck actually. Almost everybody would be hungover.
âI brought you a drink,â you said, holding out the glass to him.
Benn lifted his own identical one to show it was still half-full.
You took it from him and downed what remained, pressing the replacement into his hand. The strength of it caught the back of your throat and you coughed once, stubbornly forcing yourself not to pull a face at it.
He chuckled and shook his head. âSuppose I did need one then.â
âA wifeâs intuition,â you said proudly.
His attention settled on you, quiet and warm despite the unimpressed look on his face. He appreciated your intentions, though he wouldnât say it.
âYour supposed husband has abandoned you for three women before youâve even finished your drink,â he noted. âDevastating.â
âI know,â you mourned. âThough luckily, Iâve found someone far better to keep me company. What do you think? Itâs a fun party, no?â
He looked toward the celebration. The crew had claimed most of the space beside the fire, laughing and shouting encouragement at whoever was singing badly alongside the musicians. Several of the locals had joined the party now, bringing food and drinks that surely wouldnât go to waste amongst the crowds.
âItâs a loud party,â Benn said. âThough itâs good to be having it out here rather than inside a tavern. Fewer windows for them to walk into.â
âJust the ocean,â you noted.
âThey donât have devil fruit. They shouldnât drown.â
âTheyâll be wasted soon.â
âA problem they should have solved in advance.â
Despite his complaints, you knew exactly who would be going around and chasing them from the waves in a few hours. Heâd become remarkably adept at keeping them under control over the years.
âTheyâre happy,â you said.
âThey usually are when theyâre being given alcohol.â
You looked over the smaller groups, mainly formed by unknowns who seemed to enjoy the energy of the party but were understandably wary of getting too close to the infamous crew. A few of them stood at odd angles near the edge of the crowd, never quite facing the celebration directly. You might not have noticed if you hadnât been looking for it.
And you were definitely looking for it.
âWeâve got some of Morgansâ rats, it seems,â you said, voice lower now to keep the discussion just quieter. âThey really are everywhere. Itâs annoying. With all these rumours bouncing around, theyâll probably print another photograph of me. And if they take one in this lighting, itâs not going to be pretty.â
Benn chuckled and hooked a finger beneath your chin, tilting your face toward him. The glass in his hand bumped faintly against your jaw as he looked you over, and your heart thumped pleasantly at the touch.
His thumb remained beneath your chin a moment longer than the inspection required.
âYou do look tired from your battle against the sand. Perhaps you should avoid them then. Youâre far too good at spotting them.â
âIâm not tired,â you corrected. âIâm just enjoying you looking at me.â
Although now that he was looking for them, you knew it wouldnât take him long to notice the way they stood. Bodies angled away from the party, hands shifting beneath loose coats and bags, shutter clicks swallowed beneath the music and laughter. You made it a personal mission to always keep an eye out for photographers. Your bounty was seen by everybody in the world and you refused to have an ugly one.
But it also gave you an opportunity.
âMaybe we should correct what they think about me,â you suggested.
âItâll be difficult to prove your sanity in a photograph. Particularly after marrying him.â
âThen what do you suggest?â
âDivorce.â
You chuckled at the idea. âThat would probably chase away his company for the night. Wouldnât want to have to deal with the moping from that, would you? Maybe something more obvious?â
You turned into Bennâs side and tilted your face toward him, making the request as obvious as you could without saying it.
He glanced down at you and took a drag from his cigarette, blowing the smoke away from you and into the sky. âYou should be careful with requests like that. You could damage your marriage when itâs just started.â
You wrinkled your nose, beginning to lose patience with the joke now that it was keeping you from the kiss you wanted.
âMy real marriage would only be made better by one,â you mentioned.
He extinguished the cigarette against the tree and leaned down to kiss the top of your head.
âThere.â
You blinked. Then crossed your arms, mildly offended.
He simply smiled in response. âItâs what you wanted, isnât it? I wouldnât want to upset the captain of the ship now.â
You let your genuine offence melt into an exaggerated pout he could see straight through. âBut youâre upsetting me. I just want a kiss from my husband.â
âI thought your husband was drinking with other women.â
He smiled. Sometimes you hated how easily he saw through your dramatics. You huffed and spun on your heel, already moving a step away.
âFine. I guess Iâll go ask him then.â
Benn caught your arm before youâd even taken your second step and pulled you easily back to him, kissing you properly before you could say a word. You hummed, smiling against his mouth, pleased. You lifted your free hand to his jaw, making sure the glint of your ring said everything as you sank into the familiar warmth of his mouth.
It should have been the final clarification they needed.
Instead, that photo did the exact opposite.
Almost a week later, Yasopp was laughing far too hard for it to signal anything good. You knew it was bad when you stepped out onto deck, met his eyes, and he cackled louder. And because you had no sense of self-preservation, you immediately made your way to him, Hongo, and Limejuice to see what was so funny.
Limejuice raised his eyebrows at you as you approached, chuckling. âWell, if it isnât the most scandalous member of our crew.â
âWhat have I done now?â
He handed you the newspaper, flipped to the third page. You looked over the image and the title and a laugh escaped you purely because no other sound made sense.
âThey really think so little of me to believe I wouldnât take the ring off first?â you asked and clicked your tongue. âHonestly. Itâs almost like they think Iâm a pirate or something.â
âMarried to the captain but sleeping with the first mate? Talk about a rumour,â Yasopp said.
You shook your head in disbelief. âItâs absolutely disgraceful, I know. How can any of you lot tolerate such harlotry on the ship? Especially when the photo with my supposed husband is of me sitting next to him.â
âAdmitting theyâre wrong wouldnât sell nearly as many papers,â Hongo commented. âSo, the natural conclusion is an affair. Donât know what else it could be.â
The laugh bubbled from your chest before you could help it. It was absolutely hilarious. The photo theyâd captured was honestly lovely; taken from the waist up with your wedding ring clear against his jaw.
âThey also need his name in the title somewhere,â Limejuice added. âIâm just shocked this has been going on right on the ship and nobodyâs noticed.â
You fought to try to contain the chuckles and held up the newspaper in answer to footsteps approaching behind you. The familiar sound of Bennâs steps against the deck stopped as he looked it over and sighed.
âThatâs really their answer?â
âIâm so sorry you had to find out this way,â you told him sincerely over your shoulder. âBut it seems that youâre the other man in our relationship.â
He rolled his eyes. âYou should ignore it. The more you try and reason with them, the more content youâre giving over.â
Yasopp slapped him on the shoulder between his chuckles. âHow does it feel to be having an affair with the woman you married?â
âExhausting.â
âThe next edition will probably be something about who the father is,â Hongo suggested.
Your mouth dropped in offense and you turned to him. âExcuse me? Whatâs that even supposed to mean?â
He held up his hands innocently, smirk too cocky. âCome on, itâs the natural progression from the wife scandal.â
âI do not look pregnant,â you warned.
âYouâre pregnant?â Shanks asked. âYouâre hiding it well.â
âShut it!â you snapped at him. âI am not. But I do have to tell you something quite important. Iâm having an affair with your first mate. I know this must be hard for you to hear through a newspaper but please understand that I love him dearly.â
Benn gave you a very unimpressed look that you responded to with a sparkling smile.
Shanks chuckled and took the newspaper from you. âTheyâre pretty creative with these things, arenât they? I suppose I can forgive it this time. But only with Beck, âkay? I canât tolerate this behaviour with anybody else.â
You made a sign of swooning. âAw, youâre the second-best husband ever.â
âOnly second for accepting your affair?â
âBenn can get me a drink without finishing it on the way over.â
âNews must be dry for this to be what theyâre using,â Benn said, entirely ignoring your compliment. âThough I suppose the seas have been quiet. At least itâs not on the front page.â
âThe paternity test will be,â Hongo said. âLeave the test to me. I can make the results suitably inconclusive.â
Yasopp wiped at his eyes. âMaybe it comes out with one arm.â
Both you and Shanks immediately collapsed into laughter. Your sides ached as you leaned against him to support yourself. Benn chuckled softly under his breath, whether at the idea or because you were laughing, you werenât sure.
He always said he was very fond of your laugh.
âWe should get you a sack of flour to carry around,â Limejuice said. âWe can stitch red hairs into the top.â
âAnd give it a cigarette,â Yasopp added.
âShe needs to be pregnant before she has the kid,â Hongo insisted. âYouâre skipping over at least two editions worth of content. So, we should give her a watermelon to carry for a few months.â
âI can do that,â you offered. âBut I want it to be a weirdly shaped watermelon. Like really long.â
âNo,â Benn said. âIâm not dealing with how sticky the deckâs going to be when it inevitably falls and smashes over everything.â
âI promise not to drop it.â
âI donât believe you.â
By the time dinner arrived, most of the Red Force had lost interest in your supposed paternity scandal. Which was good because there was only so much laughter you could take before you developed a permanent stitch in your side. Still, you had a feeling it wouldnât be long until it resurfaced at the next market you found with watermelons.
You made your way to the kitchen while a game of cards started on the deck and trimmed the edges of the newspaper away so you had just the photo.
You lifted it to the light and hummed. It would need a backing board. The paper they used to print on was getting awfully thin of late. Youâd be happier if you could get your hands on the actual image though⌠maybe you should write in and ask for it.
âAre you really keeping it?â
You looked over your shoulder to find Benn standing in the doorway. You smiled and lowered your arms.
âI am. Itâs a nice photo. Iâll buy a frame the next time we stop somewhere with a shopping street instead of a distillery.â
âYou have very high hopes for the future.â
You laughed softly. âI could get rid of it instead if you want me to. Iâm not overly attached. Or maybe I should write a formal letter of complaint?â
He stepped closer and leaned over your shoulder to look at the photo. âSomehow, I donât think theyâd be particularly worried. You can see my ring where Iâm holding your wrist.â
You looked closer at the photo and immediately laughed. As you held his face, he held your arm, his hand turned to rest against your pulse point with a matching ring on his finger.
âI think theyâll use that next,â you said. âTheyâll skip over the kid and think youâre cheating on a wife back home.â
âThey wouldnât care about that. Doesnât involve Shanks at all.â
You hummed. âFair. Though realistically, weâve already had two. Theyâll probably move on to something else in the next week. Or maybe a group of idiots will blow up an island and get far more media attention.â
Benn gave you a look. âHopefully this is not how I learn about your plans.â
âWhy would I blow up an island?â
âWhen youâre with that lot, I place nothing outside the realm of possibility.â
You didnât appreciate how often you had to admit he was right. âDoes it bother you?â you asked. âNot the blowing up an island thing but all of the rest of it.â
You could understand how it would. If things were the other way around, you werenât sure youâd be pleased about the situation at all. Actually, you knew you wouldnât be. Youâd be even more bitter about the part where you didnât have any options to correct the problem.
âNot the first time people have thought youâre with him,â Benn said with a shrug. âProbably not the last. I care very little about who a newspaper thinks youâre married to. Youâre still wearing my ring.â
âItâs honestly impressive he managed to start a scandal story without even doing anything,â you admitted. âThatâs a new one.â
âNo, itâs not.â
You leaned against the counter and smiled. âMaybe we should start confining him to the ship whenever we make land. I think itâll be safer for everybody.â
Benn raised a disbelieving eyebrow at you. âAs though you wouldnât be far too bored?â
âHey, I can entertain myself by bothering you more.â
He hummed but you caught the affectionate smile that appeared for a second. âMaybe I should confine both of you to the ship. It will be safer for everybody.â
âYouâre really not looking to dispel the rumours then,â you teased.
âI donât need to. Anybody whoâs met Shanks knows he couldnât keep a wife for longer than a night.â
âAnd anybody whoâs met me knows exactly who I have eyes for.â
He scoffed. âEven if they havenât met you. In the first photograph they took, you were standing next to him but you were looking at me.â
âWas I?â
âVery obviously.â
You hummed and looked down at the photo you had. âThen I should get a copy of that one too. I can start a little album to document our lives as told through the newspaper.â
âThat sounds suspiciously like youâre planning on causing more stories.â
âMaybe⌠Two photos isnât much of an album. But donât worry, Iâll only ask the others for their help occasionally. And I wonât bring the watermelon onboard.â
Benn gave you a long, unreadable look.
Then, before you could ask what that meant, he bent down and swept you into his arms. You laughed, catching hold of his shoulders as he carried you toward the door.
âSo, is that a yes to the album?â
He said nothing which you chose to take as enthusiastic approval.

Portgas D. Ace
He left you alone for one second, one, and some man felt like he had a chance. Ace could only laugh at the manâs confidence. But honestly, he should have expected it. I mean, you were you after all: beautiful, funny, sexy, and stubborn in the best way. Who wouldnât want a shot at getting with you. Hell, he was lucky that only one man was vying for your attention and not the whole damn bar.
Eh, he knew how this was gonna end anyways. Might as well enjoy the show.
âHey, sweet cheeks. Come here often?â The man stunk of whiskey and a solid layer of dirt covered his body.
âNew in town,â you replied effortlessly. You didnât want to give him anything too seductive, but you also didnât want to scare him away. After all, you knew youâd get two shows for the price of one: a bumbling idiot trying to flirt and Ace making sure everyone know just who would be taking you home tonight.
âMaybe I could show youâs around then, doll? I know where all the fun happens.â The stranger sent you a wink.
âHmmm, I do love a bit of fun. Know any good places one could grab a drink?â You put on your best act of being dumb, pretending as if you didn't actively have a drink in your hand.
Taken aback by the question, the man tripped over his words before answering, âWell, doll, I can buy ya one right here if yaâd like.â
âOh, a drink would be just lovely,â you gave him your biggest, most insane smile. Time for the show.
Across the room, Ace leaned against the bar next to Thatch. He slowly slipped on his drink, smirking and holding in his laughs as he watched this man make a fool of himself at your feet.
âOh, for the love ofâ not again!â Thatch cried. âMarco, itâs happening again.â
Marco turned, preparing to ask Thatch what he meant, before he noticed you and the stranger bantering across the way and the over-the-top nonchalant attitude Ace had taken up in its wake. Marco simply sighed and turned to Thatch. âDamn it,â he laughed, âWell, I guess you can room in my cabin again.â
Ace, half listening, turned to the two men, confused. âWhat are you talking about? Why would Thatch need to room with you?â
âBecause every time a person flirts with Y/N, it ends with your headboard beating against the wall until three a.m., and some of us actually enjoy sleeping,â Thatch spoke, annoyed as Marco let out another chuckle.
Ace felt very little shame at the idea of everyone knowing, hearing that you were his. In fact, he was about to smirk at Thatchâs words until the sound of your laughter stopped him in his tracks. His head whipped back over to look at you as you sent the stranger a soft but hesitant smile.
What started as a fun side quest quickly turned into an annoying scene as the man pushed his limits a step (or ten) too far.
âThe way your lips fit around that pint got me thinking about what else those beauts can do.â Your stomach dropped at the manâs vulgarity. You held in the heavy sigh of annoyance that gathered at the back of your throat, instead taking a deep breath and gathering your thoughts before choosing your response.
Normally, you would just leave this guy in the dust with a few less teeth, but Pops had said no fights this time, and you were nothing if not an obedient child⌠no matter how badly you wanted to punch this man square in the face.
âIâm sorry, sugar.â You gave him a smile that hurt to produce in the wake of his words. âI just donât think Iâm too much fun tonight. Maybe youâll find another lovely lady to breathe heavily next to.â You appeared sweet, but your words were wrapped with passive-aggressive undertones which you hoped his alcohol littered mind wouldnât pick up on.
âOh, but darling, I think you misunderstand, youâre the one Iâm gonna have tonight.â The man stepped close, his hot breath fanning over your face, sending a sinking feeling to your stomach and a horrible shiver up your spine. You immediate turned to search for Ace.
Seeing you search for him, Ace knew immediately the man had made you uncomfortable. Without blinking, Ace downed the rest of his drink, wiped away the drop that trickled down his chin, and pushed off the bar, heading in your direction. He made his way over to you with the precision of an apex predator and the intentions of a man who looked upon you as if you had created the world by hand.
As you were searching for the words to de-escalate the mess you started, Ace stepped up beside you and slung his arm around your shoulders, placing his hat on your head with the movement.
You immediately felt your body relax under the weight of your lover. The man across from you, on the other hand, tensed up.
âHey, love,â your boyfriend spoke, paying the man across from you no mind. This only caused the strangerâs face to grow tighter with anger.
âAce!â you sighed out, leaning into him, grateful he had come to your aid. Speaking as if nothing was wrong, hoping to keep tensions low, you said, âI was waiting for you to come back. Where have you been?â
As Ace went to reply, the stranger coughed roughly to gain back your attention. âHey, sweetheart, forget someone? Whoâs this anyway? Ya didnât say you had no boyfriend or nothinâ.â His smile was infected with growing irritation and simmering rage.
âHa! You think she was gonna remember you in the first place?â Having you in his arms, showing everyone, showing this man, that you were his, made Ace arrogant. Damn, did he wear arrogance well, but you really did need this getting out of hand.
âOh, Ace, this is justââ You were cut off by the man.
âFella, youâre the one who left her alone. Seems like you're the one whose memory needs to be questioned.â
You sighed, bringing your fingers to your temples. You really did not need this right now.
âAce, hey, how about we just head bacââ
Before you could finish speaking, Ace pulled you into a deep, passionate, and probably obscene-looking kiss.
You pulled away, stuttering as a blush washed over your face. âA-AceâŚâ
He turned to the man with a smirk. âSee, already forgetting her own name.â The stranger stood there, stunned by his own anger.
Before another breath could be taken, Ace listen you with the ease and confidence he had every right to possess. Flinging you over his shoulder as you let out a soft yelp, he sauntered out of the bar. The smirk on his face told you exactly what he had planned back in your cabin.
Thatch could do nothing but sigh in defeat as he turned to Marco. âYouâve still got that extra blanket, right?â
Monkey D. Luffy
It took Luffy an embarrassingly long time to realize you were not beside him, his focus drawn away by the shiny beetle broach at the vendor table while you were still checking out at the last stall. When he looked up to see your reaction to the little object, he found you a few paces away chatting with a stranger who seemed a big to uppity to be cool.
âHey, Y/N!â Luffy gave you a wide smile before turning to the person across from you. âWho are you?â Luffy asked, his head tilting to the side with the inquiry.
âSir, canât you see youâre interrupting something?â The man gestured towards you. âThis lovely lady was just agreeing to go on a date with me this evening.â
Luffy laughed, âHA! That's kinda stupid. Y/Ns with me!â
The man gasped at Luffyâs words, taken aback by his bluntness and audacity to speak to a noble man like himself in a crass manner. Then he looked at you, and an apologetic and tight smile came across his face.
âI see⌠Good day, madam.â
As the man stepped back with a small bow, Luffy took your hand to pull you away and show you the knick-knack which had distracted him in the first place.
âI didnât even want that bitch anyway.â The man grumbled mostly to himself, but loud enough that it did not miss Luffyâs ears.
You froze. âDamn it,â you thought. All you wanted was one nice stroll.
Luffy turned around slowly. You groaned as a headache began developing.
âLuffy, hey, câmon, just ignore him. Heâs not worthâ.â
âWhat did you say?â Luffy seethed, his tone so serious that you began to think he may have been possessed.
The foolish stranger did not back down. In fact, he doubled down.
âI said,â he puffed out his chest, basically begging Luffy for a fight, âI didnât want that bitch anyway.â
Before the man could finish, his body was twelve feet in the air and flying across the village. A tremor in the ground and a cloud of dust in the distance told you he had landed. Hard. All eyes quickly turned to you two. It was time to leave.
Looking back at Luffy, you see him still staring in the direction he had sent the stranger flying. His breathing was heavy and rapid, his muscles visibly tense, and his hands still balled into shaking fists.
âLuffy, hey,â you reach out to touch his shoulder, hoping to calm him down enough to listen. At the contact, he melted, returning to the present, to you. âLu, we gotta go,â you spoke softly as you slowly intertwined your fingers with his and pulled him in the direction of the ship.
The jog back was silent and quick, worry growing in your stomach at not only the idea of trouble coming but at the quietness of your boyfriend. You had never seen Luffy be so quiet for so long, not even in his sleep, but addressing the situation would have to wait until you found the rest of the crew and shipped off.
As the sun set and the ocean waves gently rocked the Sunny, you found Luffy sitting on the lion head, the place he went to think⌠and nap⌠and eat. Honestly, itâs just where he was kind of all the time.
âHey, Lu! Mind giving me a lift?â you called up.
Luffy looked down from his seat with a smile before his rubber arms flew down to wrap around you, pulling you up into his lap.
For a moment, you two sat in comfortable familiarity watching the sunset shimmer off the water, creating a spectacular mirage of pinks and gold as Luffy pointed out shapes he saw in the clouds, but the weight of the day, of what Luffy did in your name, sat heavy on your chest.
You lifted your head from his shoulder to look into his eyes. âLovey, are you okay? That loser really seemed to get to you back at the market.â
Luffy turned away from your gaze for a moment before taking a breath and pulling you in tighter. âI didnât like what he said, what he called you. It just made me so⌠mad.â
âOh, Luffy.â You reached up to cup his face and bring his attention fully to you. âI appreciate that you did that for me, but you really didnât have to. He was a nobody. He wasnât worth the anger of a great man.â
âIf it means protecting you, it will always be worth it.â His words and wide smile left your heart skipping a beat and your breath catching in your throat. âIâd do it again on every island we go to, every town we stop in, if it meant honoring your name.â
âLuffy⌠I donâtâ Iâm not worth all thaââ
âYou are too silly!â He said it like it was easy, like it was the most natural thing his mind could produce.
As tears welled in your eyes, you dove into his embrace, nearly toppling him over before he caught you with a soft laugh.
âPlus, I did hit him pretty far, might be a new record!â
You couldnât help but join in on his laughter.
âI like it when you smile! Donât ever stop.â
âI wonât, Luffy,â you wiped away the soft tears that fell as you let out another small laugh. âAs long as you promise to keep being you.â
âWho else would I be?â He asked with a deadly serious face and a small head tilt, which only made you laugh more.
Trafalgar Law
Going out with the whole crew was a luxury, especially when your boyfriend would much rather be back on the ship, cuddled into your side. Not that that wasnât an amazing alternative, but sometimes you wanted a night out with all the people you cared about, all having fun together.
In the dim lights of the corner of the tavern, the crewâs laughter at Shachiâs latest story wound down as a man slid up to the table, leaning onto the post nearest you. As he stopped next to you, he let out a small cough, pulling your attention (as well as the attention of the whole table).
âHey angel,â he wore a smug smirk, âI was wondering if I could get you a drink.â
âOh, Iâm okay!â You turned to the rest of the crew sitting with you. âAnyone else wanna order something?â
Your oblivious reaction to the manâs flirting had the table, outside of Bepo and Law, crescendoing into another round of laughs while confusion rose to your face.
The man, adjusting his stance to be closer to you, clarified. âI think you misunderstand, dear. It is your beauty alone that has entranced me this evening. It would be an honor if you would grace me with your presence.â
Ikkaku sighed heavily and picked up her drink at the manâs absorbed behavior. Shachi choked on his own laugh, and Penguin was nearly in tears.
Law, however, showed no reaction. He simply lifted his drink to his lips and watched the scene unfold from under the shadow of the brim of his hat.
âOhhhh,â a soft blush washed over your cheeks as you realized the meaning of his words. âThatâs so sweet, but Iâm sorry. Iâm actually spoken for.â
His eyes swept over the table, trying to assess which of the rowdy group could possibly have won you over. With an aura of judgment, he said, âI see. Well, I am sorry for disturbing your evening.â He lifted your hand to his lips and departed from the table.
As your hand came back down, Law grabbed it under the table, rubbing soft circles with his thumb in the spot where the man had kissed you, almost as if he could wipe it away.
âNext rounds on me!â You happily declared, sliding out from the booth to head to the bar.
âHurry back, cap gets grumpy when youâre gone too long,â Penguin joked with a smirk, elbowing Shachi beside him. Law sent them a dark glare, which only had the two men laughing more.
âBehave, you two,â you joked as you walked away.
You ordered from the barkeep and took a seat at the counter to wait. Less than five seconds later, the man in the stool next to you leaned over.
âHey, sweetheart. Whatâs a pretty thing like you doing in a place like this?â
âJust having some drinks,â you answered with a friendly smile.
âYou should drink with me.â He leaned in even closer, face mere inches from yours, causing you to lean back, teetering in your chair. âOr even better, how about we get out of here?â
Before you could reply, planning to turn the man down as nicely as possible, a blue haze flooded the room, and you were suddenly transported from your spot at the bar to your seat next to Law.
You turned to your lover with a confused look.
Law simply said, âUniâs gonna grab the drinks.â
âI am?â You heard from across the table, but your attention was drawn away by Law once more, taking your hand under the table.
As you watched Shachi and Pen compete in a round of darts, a woman came up to where you stood, leaning against a tall table with Ikkaku.
and another
Suddenly, Law appeared beside you.
âOkay, thatâs enough,â Law grabbed your hand, leaving the woman surprised. âWeâre going back to the ship.â
A chorus of âOOOOâ came from the crew, as well as a few wolf-whistles at the actions of their captain.
âBut why werenât we having fun?â You asked, letting Law drag you away. âI didnât get to finish my drink,â you pouted.
âTsk,â he let out a breathy laugh. âIâll get you another one⌠on the ship.â
âHmpf,â you deepened your frown, âFine, but you have to give me lots of cuddles too!â
Law slowed his march towards the ship to move his hand from yours and wrap it around your waist, pulling you into his side. âIf you insist,â he replied with a small, smug, and loving smile.
Summary: The crew is docked at an unknown island on their journey in the Grand Line. Sanjiâs wife, Y/N, comes down with a disease that she picked up from an island. They donât have a doctor just yet, so the crew does their best to try and figure out what to do, as the island they are on is uninhabited. They quickly sail to the next island, which takes a few days, and she gets worse. They reach an island and find a doctor from another crew who helps heal her.
A/N: I could not get this out of my head. So obviously I had to write it out. This is proof read, but if there are any mistakes please let me know.
The Straw Hats were docked at a beautiful but uninhabited island. It had nothing but strange, exotic flowers for miles. The crew was shocked at how pretty it was, especially when the wind blew just enough for the flowers to look like they were walking.
âWow. This island is beautiful. Mon cheri, come and check it out.â Sanji calls to his wife, who was standing next to Luffyâs seat.Â
She excuses herself from her discussion with Luffy and walks over to her handsome, blonde-haired, swirly-eyebrowed husband. He held out a hand so he could help her onto the little step that he was on.
âThank you, mon amour.â She sweetly told him before accepting his hand. She steps onto the little platform right next to Sanji.
âThis place is gorgeous. Do you think we could pick some flowers for the Merry? Just to brighten her up a bit.â She asks her husband before he could get a word in; Luffy comes barreling over like a little puppy seeing their owner after being gone for hours on end.
âWho cares about flowers? What about the meat?â He practically yells out while slowly drooling at the mention of meat.Â
She just makes a deadpanned face at Luffyâs one-track mind.Â
âI wonder if I could get Sanji to sneak in other foods like vegetables or something,â She thinks to herself before deciding to put a pen in it and bring it up later when her captain wasnât around.
âWho cares. I just wanna fight something.â Zoro said to the slowly growing group that was standing on the deck looking out at the scenery. He came up on the right side of Y/N, which had Sanji narrowing his eyes.
âDonât stand too close to her, moss head!â Sanji yells out towards Zoro, who snaps his head over to the cook.
âI can stand next to whoever I want to cook.â He tells Sanji, unhappy that he was picking a fight.
âYouâll infect her with your terrible sense of direction,â Sanji tells Zoro before readying his legs for a fight when Zoro sets a hand on his sword.
Y/N could sense that they were about to get into another fight; she decided to end it herself before it got started. Right when she was about to knock some sense into them, the crew navigator beat her to it.
Nami thumped both of their heads from behind, hard enough that they started swelling. Both of them glared back towards Nami, who just stared them back down.
They just grumbled to themselves before focusing back on the island.
âThank you, Nami,â Y/N tells Nami, who just winks in return.
After Sanji packed up the adventure bentos, the crew separated into groups to search the island faster. Nami and Luffy went to the right, Usopp and Zoro went to the right, while Sanji and Y/N went straight.Â
Y/Nâs mind was on one thing, and that thing was flowers. She wanted to fill her entire 2 baskets with as many flowers as she could. She didnât know when the next time they would find an island that had beautiful flowers scattered around.
Sanji was happily following his wife wherever her heart wanted to take her. He was happy to just be spending one-on-one time with no interference from others.
âSanji, look at this flower,â he heard his beautiful wife say. He glanced over to see it was a flower he had never seen before.
The flower was tubular, almost shaped like a bell. It was a light purple color, and it had white spots just inside the opening.
Y/N crouched on the ground, accidentally touching it, so she could be closer to it and slowly leaned down to catch a whiff to see what it smelled like. She leaned all the way in to where she was practically licking the leaf to try and get some type of smell, only to get nothing, which puzzled her.
She leaned back in confusion before taking her knife out and starting to slowly cut the base of the plant so she could set it in her basket to take back to the Going Merry.
Sanji saw she was about to push herself up before offering her his hand once again to help ease her off of the ground. She smiled at how chivalrous he was being; then again, this is how he normally acted.
âThank you.â She told him before attempting to lean down to grab the basket, only for him to beat her to it.
âDo not stress yourself over this, mon amour. What kind of gentleman would I be if you were carrying something?â He informed her before stepping back a little and gesturing with his hand for her to walk ahead of him.
About 2 hours later, she finally collected enough flowers to hold her over until the next island they reached.Â
As she was walking up the plank behind Sanji, she got a little dizzy but was able to catch herself before she fell into the water. She looked around her to see if anyone noticed what had happened, but they were too busy talking about other stuff.
She let out a sigh of relief before continuing across the rest of the plank and back onto the Merry. Y/N took the flowers from her husband, who was still holding them.
âIâm fixing to go put these away, mon amour.â She told her husband before walking away with a basket full of flowers in each hand.
She was quietly humming to herself while pruning the stems so they would be able to go into the multiple vases she had. As she was setting one into a vase, her eyes started to go blurry, which made her blink rapidly to try and clear it away.
âWeird,â she thought to herself before shrugging and continuing with trimming her new flowers.
After she had almost all the flowers pruned and in vases, the door to her workshop opened up only for Usopp to stick his head in.
âSanji said that dinner is almost ready.âÂ
âThank you.â She kindly told Usopp, who just nodded in response and shut the door.
Y/N walked over to the sink so she could rid the dirt that was all caked on her hands, only for her to get disoriented. She stood at the sink, confused about why she was standing there and not at the table for dinner.Â
She turned around to walk out the door only to run into a closed door. Y/N stepped back a little, and her vision cleared up enough to see that she forgot to open the door before walking out.
âWhatâs happening to me?â She asked herself before bringing it up to her husband later on.
As soon as she walked into the kitchen, Sanji eyed her pale face from where he stood. When she sat down at the table with the others, he set her plate in front of her.
âThank you.â She told him before kissing him on the cheek.Â
Her show of affection made hearts appear in his eyes, and his body turned into a noodle.
âThank you, my love.â He affectionately told her.
Once everyone was seated, she started to eat. She got maybe 6 bites in before she started getting dizzy once again. She shook her head to clear her vision, but that made her head start pounding.
Sanji glanced over the table from where he sat across her. He saw her shake her head a little before her eyes rolled back and she fell face-first into her food.
When her head hit the table, everyone looked over only to see her unconscious. Sanji jumped across the table to reach her and check on her.
Zoro, who was sitting next to her, leaned over to check her pulse, only to find it racing like it was trying to jump out of her chest.
âHer pulse is racing,â he told the crew who was all gathered around.
Sanji picked her up and laid her on the floor to try and diagnose whatever was wrong with his wife.
Zoro eyed her pale face, racing heart, and clammy skin. Before his eyes got wide at what this possibly could be.
âShe was messing with flowers, right?â He asked the cook, who nodded his head, not looking away from his wife.
âWhich ones?â Â
Sanji left his wife in the hands of Nami, who was helping to try and have the fever break. Zoro and Sanji got to her workshop, where all the flowers from earlier today were.
Zoro went through all the flowers looking for a specific one, only to come across it still sitting in the basket.
âThis is foxglove. Itâs highly poisonous when ingested.âÂ
Sanji thought back to the moment they discovered it before realizing she had tried one of the dried fruits when he looked away to scan the surroundings.
âShe ate one of the dried fruits that it had. She said it looked harmless.â Sanji quietly told Zoro, who just sighed at the outcome.
For once in their life of traveling on the seas together, they werenât fighting. They were working together to try and solve the issue at hand.
They started to walk back to the crew to explain to them what the next steps were since they identified the issue.
âShe ingested Foxglove.â Zoro calmly told everyone who was confused about what foxglove was.
He could tell they were all confused, except the cook, who was back on the floor next to Y/N.
âFoxglove is a highly poisonous flower when ingested. There is only 1 cure, and thatâs some kind of heart medicine that would be impossible to find.â
Nami looked over at Zoro to ask the question that was probably on everyone's mind except Luffy's.
âHow do you know this?â She suspiciously asked the swordsman, who just rolled his eyes.
âBack on my island, foxglove grew almost everywhere you looked. Most kids and adults knew to stay away from it, but sometimes a dumb moron would wind up eating it and get poisoned,â he explained to everyone, who all just nodded their heads at his explanation.
âSo we just need to get to an island to find this type of medicine?â Luffy asked while trying to dig for gold in his nose.
âEssentially,â was all Sanji heard from Zoro.
âIâm taking her to our room so she can rest in a comfortable place,â Sanji told everyone before gently picking up Y/Nâs limp body and started walking to their shared room.
Everyone watched the married couple leave before turning back to each other.
âYou know if anything happens to her, it would kill him.â Usopp slowly told everyone.
âWhich is why we arenât letting that happen,â Luffy said before giving out his next orders.
âNami, find us the closest island you can. Work with Vivi on it.â Luffy commanded everyone before leaving out the door to go to his special seat.
Luffy jumped onto Merryâs head and looked up to watch the stars. He didnât know what to do. He absolutely hated when a member of his crew was down.Â
A few days laterâŚ
Y/N was getting much worse as the days went by, but the crew never lost hope. Their luck paid off when Usopp was in the crow's nest when he spotted an island in the distance.
âGUYS. THERE IS AN ISLAND.â Usopp yelled out so everyone would be able to hear.
Luffy stretched his arms up to the crows' nest before slingshotting himself up there so he could get a look as well.Â
âWe should be there in like 30 minutes, give or take,â Usopp told everyone who was gathered. Vivi ran to the area where the other bedroom was and started to knock repeatedly on the door.
âSanji, there is an island. We should be there really soon.â was all she was able to say before the door was swung open and an exhausted Sanji appeared.
âGet her dressed,â Vivi demanded of Sanji before taking her leave to get ready as well.
Sanji gently closed the door before setting his forehead against the warm wood. He stared down at the floor; he was hoping and praying that the medicine they needed was on this island. He couldnât go on without his wife by his side.
Back on the deck, Zoro was looking over the island, trying to make sure no danger or trouble would come, only to see a flag flying on one of the ships that was docked. He glanced up at Usopp before climbing up the pole to speak with him.
âUsopp, calmly check the flag that is 4 boats down on the right.â Zoro quietly told the sniper. He just looked at him in confusion before pulling his goggles down and scanning the ships. He slid his goggles back onto his head before looking at Zoro with worry in his eyes.
âIs that-â He started to ask before Zoro cut him off.
âUnfortunately. Iâm going to let the crew know before we get there so we can have some what of a plan.â was all Zoro told him before he climbed back down from the nest.
Zoro walked over to where Nami was in the navigation area. He bent down to whisper in his ear so his captain, who was scouring for food, wouldnât hear.
Namiâs eyes got wide before she turned to look at Zoro, who just nodded to confirm what he told her. She swallowed before shouting out for the crew to gather.
âGUYS WE HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM!â She yelled out loud enough that Sanji came out of his room to see what the issue was.
âWe wonât be the only pirate crew on that island,â Nami informed everyone.Â
Luffy got a big grin on his face and started to jump in place at the excitement of fighting another pirate crew.
âLuffy, donât do anything stupid. We are here for medicine and some supplies. That is all. No causing or starting any kind of trouble.â Nami threatened Luffy, who stopped jumping and started pouting.
âYouâre no fun.â He said dejectedly before leaving to get changed.
Zoro turned to the remaining members before starting to speak.
âWe need some sort of a game plan. If itâs who Iâm thinking it is, then we will be in major trouble.â
âEasy. The plan is to calmly and quietly get the medicine. Grab a few supplies, then leave before we are noticed by the crew.â Nami told Usopp, Zoro, and Sanji.
After the crew docked, they all separated to go their own ways to try and find the medicine that they needed for their crew member.Â
Sanji was holding Y/N in his arms while looking around for either a doctor or a medicine place. He was so focused in looking around that he didnât see someone in front of him and ran straight into them.Â
âSorry, man,â Sanji said to the man before he got a good glimpse at who he bumped into, and his eyes got wide at who was in front of him. He mentally cursed the gods, or whoever thought it was funny for him to run into a pirate they were trying to dodge.
âNo harm, no fowl-yoi.âÂ
Sanji couldnât believe his eyes at what he was seeing. It would be his luck that Whitebeard's 1st commander would be standing right in front of him.
âMarco the phoenix.:â Sanji murmured, but Marco was able to hear it.
âIn the flesh-yoi. Whatâs wrong with the girl in your arms?â Marco asked Sanji, who just tightened his grip on his wife.
âMy sick wife. Thatâs who.â Sanji told Marco, which made the commander hold his hands up as if to say he came in peace.
âIâm a doctor. Let me look at her. Follow me.â was all Marco said before walking off.
Sanji stood there for a moment, trying to think of what to do, when he felt a light touch on his cheek.
He looked down to see his wife barely awake.Â
âMon amour. You are awake. Iâve missed your eyes.â He quietly told her. Even when she was barely awake, he still flirted with her.
She didnât have hardly any strength, but she was able to say the 4 words that made him make up his mind.
âYou can trust Marco,â was all she said before sleep claimed her once again.
Sanji let out a breath before picking up the pace to chase after Marco, who practically vanished.
He was able to catch up with him after a few moments of jogging. The doctor was waiting outside a door to what looked to be a clinic.
âGood, you made it. Set her down on the bed.â
The cook followed the directions; he gently set her on the patient bed before taking a seat right next ot her bedside. He wasnât leaving his wife for anything, not when she couldnât fight back.
âWhat are her symptoms?â Marco asked the cook, who glanced back up at him.
âOne of my crewmates said she ingested foxglove. It matched the symptoms he witnessed years ago.â Sanji told the doctor, who nodded in agreement.
âSounds like your member was right. She just needs some heart medication, which I can get for her. She should then make a full recovery over time.â Marco told him.Â
Sanji could feel every piece of anxiety and worry that was inside him practically vanish at what Marco told him.
âThank you. What can I do to repay you?â Sanji asked Marco, who was busy bottling up the correct medicine Y/N would need.
Marco just chuckled at how well-mannered the kid was. He glanced over to Sanji and saw him rubbing his fingers gently across her knuckles to remind her he was still there.
âWhat kind of commander would I be if I charged my captainâs daughter's husband?â Marco watched Sanjiâs face when he realized what he had just let out of the bag.
âWhat,â Sanji whispered out in disbelief.
âY/N is the only daughter of the Whitebeard captain. He left her in the East Blue when she was little so she wouldnât be in any kind of danger.â Marco told him before handing the finished medicine to a shocked Sanji.
âAny one of us commanders would do anything for her. One of the things Pops made us promise was to always protect her no matter what,â was all that Marco said before gathering his things to prepare to leave.
With that being said, Marco took his leave. He was ready to get back to the Moby Dick to tell everyone who he found. He couldnât wait to see the look on his captainâs face at the reveal.
Once Marco left the clinic, Sanji shoved the medicine inside his pockets before he gathered his wife into his arms to head back to the Merry.
As soon as they got close to the ship, he could see everyone waiting on the deck.
When he set one foot on the deck, the crew started demanding what took him so long.
âSettle down.â Sanji started to say before waiting for everyone to stop talking so he could finally speak.
âI got the medicine she needs. Turns out there was a doctor on this island. And found out an interesting secret about Sleeping Beauty here,â was all Sanji said before Nami started to ask who the doctor was.
âWhy is everyone so loud?â At the sound of Y/Nâs voice, everyone got quiet before yelling in joy at her finally waking up.
She slowly opened her eyes to see her favorite people standing around her.Â
âLove, why didnât you tell us- hell, even me about your father being Whitebeard?âÂ
When Sanji said that, the entire crew yelled out a âWHAT!â
She was quiet for a moment, leaving everyone in suspense before making them all fall.
âWhoops, guess I forgot to mention that.â She jokingly told her crew before starting to laugh at all of their reactions.
Law could feel a set of eyes on him while he was asleep. He cracked open an eye only for him to see it was Rouge staring him down while he was lying on the couch. Once she saw he was watching her, Rouge ran away towards the kitchen.Â
He slowly sat up and glanced over towards where he could hear the laughter in the kitchen. He could see Y/N at the counter working on something that he couldnât see. He saw a glimpse of SJ at the table reading a book of some sort. Law didnât see the eldest son, but he could hear a noise of something being hit outside.
âHow did you sleep?â Y/N asks Law once she saw he was waking up.
âI slept fine. No one was near the house last night.â He tells her before getting up on his feet to go to the bathroom to freshen up for the day. He had plans to go to the sub today and scout the island and surrounding seas for any signs of trouble.
Once he was finished in the bathroom, he opened the door only to run into the eldest son, who just gave him a dirty look before rushing back outside. Law just shook his head and decided to ignore the moody 5-year-old.
Law walked into the kitchen, only to stop dead in his tracks at the sight. Y/N was finishing up the kids' breakfast; Rouge was âhelpingâ her, more like making a mess that made Lawâs face twitch at the chaos of it. SJ was sitting at the table reading some book before hiding at the sight of Law. He didnât see AJ, but he could hear him outside hitting something or some animal.
He glanced out the window that was above the sink and saw AJ out there swinging his pipe around while trying to teach himself how to fight.Â
âBreakfast is almost done, Mr. Trafalgar.â He heard her say, which snapped his attention back to her, only for her to be setting plates on the table.
âJust Law is fine,â he told her.
He sat down at the table to see what SJ was reading, only for a body to block his view. He glanced up to see it was Rouge setting down a cup of what looked to be coffee.
âHere. I made it myself.â She told him before moving to sit on the other side of SJ, who came out of his hiding spot.
Law brought the cup up to his nose to smell what it was, only for it to be the bitter smell of the freshly ground-up coffee beans. He slowly took a sip and tried not to grimace at the taste of the extremely sugary drink. Rouge was staring him down; she was practically jumping in place, waiting for him to tell her how the concoction tasted.
He coughed a little before setting the cup down. Law had enough of the âcoffeeâ for the day.
âItâs good. Very sweet.â He informed her, which made her smile.
âI used a bunch of sugar.â She told him before getting up to help with setting the food down.
âI could tell,â Law murmured too quietly for anyone to hear.
Most of the Portgas family settled down in their seats to start eating after plating up their food. The only one that was missing was AJ, who was still outside swinging his pipe. Law glanced over to Y/N only to see her pushing food around her plate. He could tell that AJâs behavior is taking a toll on her mentally.
Law pushed his chair back and started to stand up, which caught Y/Nâs attention.
âWhat are you doing?â She asked him, but it went unanswered when he grabbed his sword, only for him to shut the front door.Â
The pirate captain walked around the house to where AJ was, only for said kid to point his weapon at him.
âFight me,â AJ demanded once he saw Law come around the corner.
âNo. Now go eat.âÂ
âIâm not hungry,â was all Law heard before AJâs stomach started making a rumbling sound.
Law raised an eyebrow at AJ, only for him to be facing the other way so the captain wouldnât see his red face.
âThis is about your dad, isn't it?â Law questioned AJ, only for Law to hit the nail on the head. AJâs head froze a tiny bit, but that was a good enough answer for him. AJ ignored the question and just started to swing his pipe again.
âListen, kid, just cause your dad isnât here anymore doesnât mean your life stops.â Law starts to tell AJ, who stops mid-swing to glance over to the Hearts captain.
âYou probably grew up with a dad. We only had 5, almost 6 years with him. He still had a lot to teach us. And then he just leaves his kids? And our mom?âÂ
âHe was a hero-â Law tried to interject before AJ cut him off.Â
âHeâs nothing but a coward. Not a hero. He left his family behind. He swore to always protect us and to always be there for us.â AJ starts to tell him while throwing his pipe down in anger.
âNow what are we supposed to do when this island gets attacked? If itâs true with what the townâs people are saying, then the Whitebeard Pirates are gone as well. No one can protect this island! We donât have a flag that we can fly anymore!â AJ yells out in anger towards Law, who made no move to settle him down. Law knew the kid needed to get his anger out.
âIf I win, then you have to go inside, apologize to your siblings and your mom. Then you have to sit down and eat the food.â Law tells him while holding up his sheathed sword.
AJ angrily stares him down for a quick moment before snatching his pipe off the ground and running headfirst towards Law.
He swings his pipe down, only for it to be countered by Law blocking it. AJ jumps back a little to gain some distance before running closer and aiming the bottom of the pipe towards Lawâs side, just for his attack to be blocked once again.
He grits his teeth in anger before trying to attack from behind, only to get the same result as he did the last few times.
Seeing Law just standing there with a hand in his pocket and holding a sheathed sword, just the sight of him pissed AJ off. He decided to just attack and hope that one of them would stick.
âYouâre thinking irrationally. You need to calm down and think about your attacker's next move. Always be a step ahead of them.â Law calmly told AJ while blocking another âsneakâ attack.
âSHUT THE HELL UP!â AJ roared out at Law. That got Y/Nâs attention, which made her come out of the house with his siblings in tow.
She sees AJ being knocked down to the ground with a swipe to his legs from Law. She decided that was enough. It was time to end this silly argument.
âAJ. That is enough.â She sternly told her eldest son.
âBut mom-â AJ tried to tell her before he was cut off by her speaking again.
âNo buts. Butts are for sitting.â
She walks over to AJ and sits down on the ground with him. She didnât care if she got all muddy; one of her kids needed her.
âI get that youâre angry and upset at your dad for leaving us. Iâve been afraid for a very long time that he wonât come back one day. It does suck that he left us all alone, but his spirit lives on inside of you. All 3 of you are your fatherâs legacy.â She tells AJ before pulling him into an extremely tight hug.
Law gives them a moment before walking over to crouch beside them. He catches AJâs eyes before telling him a fact about himself.
âMy entire family died when I was young from a sickness. So I do know how it feels to not be raised by a father. But look at where I am now. I am the captain of the Heart Pirates, and I have a bounty of 200 million berries.â Law told the teary-eyed kid before getting up from his crouched position and dragging the 2 snooping kids back inside the house.
Y/N turned to her child and watched as he sniffed and lifted his head. He really was the spitting image of his father. From the unruly short black hair, the black eyes, and the attitude Ace had when he was a little kid. Her genes never stood a chance.
She gently sets her hand on the side of his face, and her thumb lightly brushes over his cheek, which causes him to close his eyes and lean into the movement.
After a moment, AJ quickly stood up before turning his face away from his mother and holding out his hand. She stares at it for a moment, a little bit confused, before he explains when he sees her confused expression out of the corner of his eye.
âDad always helped you up no matter what. As the eldest Portgas son, that job falls to me. I will also protect this family.â
âAJ, you donât need to protect this family. I just need you to be an actual kid for as long as you can.â
She lets AJ help her up before dusting the dirt off of them and walking back inside to eat the now cold food.
It was quiet for a few minutes while everyone was finishing up with eating. Y/N cleared her voice a little before instructing the kids on what to do next.Â
âGo get ready so you can go to school.â She tells the kids before getting a head start on the dirty dishes.Â
Once all 3 kids were out of earshot, she turned her head towards Law who was drinking the last of his coffee.
âLawâ Y/N quietly said to the captain who just turned his head a little in her direction.
âThank you for this morning.â was all she said before she turned the water off and walked to the kids room to help them get ready for the day.
He just stared after her, while she was walking away. He stands up to set his cup in the sink and just stares out the window while his mind wanders off.
âI shouldnât be feeling this way about her. She just lost her lover, her kids just lost their father, and here I am thinking about what life would be like if they were his family.â He thinks to himself before shaking his head to get the thought out.
#1. Being the wife to red-haired Shanks, is an adventure itself. His wife will always have to step in when he gets so drunk that he canât see straight.
His wife would be sitting at a table in a random bar with Shanks on one side of her, and Benn Beckman on the other side. Yassop and Lucky would be sitting on the other side of the table. The crew would have their captainâs wife covered on all sides.Â
She glanced over to her husband only to see him downing an entire mug of beer without taking a single breath. His wife just rolls her eyes and turns her attention back to her crocheting. Just looking at him drinking gave her a headache cause she knows she will have to deal with the aftermath.
Shanks looked over at his wife through his blurry vision, and just smiled a goofy smile. He set his now empty mug down before pushing himself up, only for him to stumble into another drunk patreon.Â
âSorry man, didnât see ya standinâ there.â Shanks jokingly told the drunk who didnât let him get away with a half-assed apology.
The drunken stranger pushed Shanks which caught the attention of the Red-force crew members. Beckman stood up only for Shanks to wave him off, he slowly sat back down and decided to just wait and see if he had to step in.
Shankâs wife quickly looked up at the disturbance only to quickly push the chair back due to the drunk's body landing on top of it. She stood up, and tried to back away before the drunk noticed her. Her movement caught the eye of the intoxicated attacker, who focused his attention on her.
When he started to move towards her, Shank immediately sobered up and went to step in to block his advances but he was intercepted by Yassop standing in front of her, with his gun pulled out, and aimed straight at the drunk guy which slowed him down.
Shanks got behind the drunk, and aimed a punch right at his head which caused the guy to fall unconscious. He shook his hand out to get rid of the dull throbbing he felt from punching the guys hard head.
He immediately headed toward his wife who was standing behind Yassop, while still holding her book. Shanks took her face in his hands and checked her over real quick.
âYou arenât hurt right? I didnât think he had the balls to go after anyone but me.â Shanks told his wife before pulling her into a hug.Â
She just laid her head on his half covered chest and wrapped her arms around him to return the hug,
âIâm fine. If he came too close, Iâd knock him back towards you.â She jokingly told him which caused him to laugh.
âThatâs how I know I married the right woman.âÂ
The entire Red-forced crew started laughing when he said that. They knew he had to ask a bunch of times, before he was even able to get a date with her. But he never gave up, and now they were married.
#2: Being the wife to Red-Haired Shanks, means helping him with raising Luffy while he sailed around the Blue sea.
âWhat are you doing here?â Little Luffy asked while walking out of Dadanâs cabin.Â
âI was going to see if you wanted to go out with me for the day. We can grab some food, go shopping, or whatever you want to do.â She would tell him, before gesturing to him to follow her down the path back to town.
Once the duo got to the town, Luffy immediately went into a restaurant where they enjoyed a nice lunch before getting kicked out due to Luffyâs appetite.
âIâm sorry.â He sadly tells her, before grabbing her hand so he could keep up with her.
She just chuckles at his sadness before setting a hand on his head, and messing his hair all up.
âI knew what I would be getting into when I came up to get you.â She informs him before pulling him into a clothing store.
âCan we get Ace and Sabo something?â He asks her while looking at her.
She was shuffling through all the clothes trying to find Luffyâs size so he wasnât wearing the same thing every single day. She pulled a shirt out that had a monkey on it.Â
Luffy stuck his tongue out at the sight of the ugly shirt before she rolled her eyes and stuffed it back into the bin.
âDo you know what size they are?â
âNo.âÂ
She just sighs and shakes her head before holding a shirt up to Luffy to try and get an idea on what size might fit the 2 other kids. She knew she was hoping way too high for Luffy to know anything other than eating.Â
#3: Being the wife to Red-Haired Shanks, means he dotes on her all day, every day.
The Red-force was docked at an island that was well known for their vibrant, and beautifully arranged flower bouquets.Â
Shanks and his wife were walking through the town while the other members loaded the ship up with supplies. Shanks was just looking for a bar or tavern to get a drink, while his wife was looking at all the flora and fauna. She was amazed by all the color and the different smells.
âDid you want some?â Shanks asked his wife who just shook her head no.
âNo, Itâs fine. We donât have anywhere we would put them.â
That statement made Shanks stop in his place. He turned his head to look at her only to see her in a store looking at some trinkets. Shanks had an idea, and now just needed a crew member to do it.
He saw Beckman walking around while keeping an eye on the surroundings, before Shanks whistled which caught his first mate's attention. Beckman walked over to his captain only to stop when Shanks motioned for him to wait.
âI need your help with coordinating something.â was all Shanks told him before whispering into his ear.
Beckman raised his eyebrow before looking at his captain only to see how serious he was.
âIâll get it handled.â Beckman told his captain before walking away to get the supplies for his captain's request.
Shanks watched him leave, before turning back to his wife when she was walking out of the store with a brown bag in tow.
âWhat did you buy?â He asked her while trying to peek inside the bag but she pulled it away from his prying eyes.
âNone of your business. My eyes onlyâ She teasingly told him who just pouted in being denied.
Later in the dayâŚ
Back on the Red-Force, his wife was putting away the trinkets she had bought earlier in the day. She looked up when someone knocked on the door, only for it to be her red haired husband.
âAre you busy? I got a surprise for you.â was all he told her before motioning towards the hallway with his head.
His wife just narrowed her eyes at that request before walking over to a grinning Shanks. They walked to where the kitchen was where he opened the door, and gestured for her to walk in first. She gets in the kitchen only to see a few vases on a shelf that was halfway up the wall.Â
His wife turns to look at him with a confused expression which made Shanks start laughing at the reaction.
âYou told me earlier in the day that you didnât have anywhere to put any kind of flowers so I had Beckman and the crew made a space for flowers.â He told her before reaching behind his back and pulling out a medium sized bouquet of red roses that were mixed with sunflowers.Â
Her eyes went wide before looking up to her husband only to see him nod at her to take them. She slowly took the bouquet before Shanks motioned her to go set them in the vases that were on the shelf. She organized them to her liking before looking to Shanks in approval.
âWhatâcha think?â
âI think it was an amazing surprise. Thank you.â was all she told him before she pulled her husband in for a hug.

Law looked at the 2 kids standing in front of him, both wielding weapons. He didnât say anything for a moment before the boy started to speak.
âWho are you, and how did you find this path?âÂ
âMy name is Trafalgar Law, and I am the captain of the Heart Pirates. I am here as a favor to your father, Ace.â Law told the kids.
âHe isnât here at the moment. Now leave; this island is under Whitebeard's protection.â
âTake me to your mom. This is important. Luffy sent me.â At the mention of their uncle, Luffy caught their attention.
âFine. You can follow us, but donât try anything,â the boy told Law before turning around with Rouge and starting to walk away.
All 3 of them started to walk towards Portgas' house. The boy was ahead of Law, with him in the middle and the girl at the back. As they were walking, the little girl skipped up next to Law and was staring him down.
âWhat,â he asked while trying to speed up a little to get away from the kid who didnât know what personal space was.
âNothing. My name is Portgas D. Rouge by the way. And my brother is Portgas D. AJ. He was named after our dad. Our youngest sibling is Portgas D. SJ; he was named after our uncle who passed away,â she told him while moving to hold his hand. AJ caught on to what she was doing before yelling at her.
âYou idiot! Donât tell the enemy our names. Now he knows who we are.â AJ yelled out towards his sister. She just rolled her eyes and let her hand fall from attempting to grab Lawâs.
Rouge started to speed up when they got close to exiting the forest, and they saw their little brother rushing out the front door. SJ had the look of panic on his face.
âMOM IS GETTING WORSE!â was all SJ had to say before the 2 kids started bolting to the door. Law just watched them go before picking up his pace.
He followed the kids through the door, where he found them crowding the door of a bedroom. He walked over to go in and check on her before he was blocked by AJâs little body, who had his arms spread wide.
âWhat are her symptoms?â Law asked the 3 kids while pushing past them to reach her bedside.Â
He could tell they didnât know what to do, due to the state of the room. There were 3 pillows and blankets scattered across the floor; the room looked like a tornado went through it in general. He saw that they had put a cold rag on her forehead to help with a fever. He set his hand on her forehead only to pull it back quickly due to the heat.Â
âThatâs none of your business.â AJ quickly told the intruding pirate captain. Rouge piped up from where she was standing with SJ.
âHigh fever, not eating, and canât stay awake for more than a few minutes at a time.â Rouge quietly told Law, who was listening.
âHow long has she been like this?â he asked the kids who were just standing there, lost on what to do.
âGoing on for 3 days.â Law heard from a small voice in the back. He turned to see it was SJ who jumped at the sight of him before hiding behind Rougeâs back. SJ was internally freaking out at having to speak with someone he wasnât familiar with.
âShe will be fine. Itâs more than likely a stress cold.â Law stated to the kids.
âWhatâs a stress cold?â AJ asked. Only for SJ to narrate from a medical book he read.
âItâs a cold thatâs brought on by something terrible or tragic. The doctor usually says to rest, and let it run its course.â Law stared at the kid in amazement that a 5-year-old knew that.
âShe started to cry, and she fell to the floor when she read something in the paper. I asked what it was, but she just hid it in the trash can. I asked her what it was about, but she didnât say. Just kept saying dadâs name over and over.â Rouge told everyone that was in the room.
Law stared at the kids in bewilderment. They had no idea that their dad was executed. He didnât know if it was right to tell them what happened or to wait for their mom to break it to them.Â
âAJ. Iâm hungry.â SJ quietly told his brother while tugging on his hand a little bit to get his attention. AJ turned his head towards his brother before looking at Rouge, who nodded her head in agreement.
âIâll make you something. Show me to the kitchen.â Law instructed them, who hesitated on letting the stranger find out the layout of their house. Eventually, they led him to the kitchen, where he got started on making them something warm and easy on their stomachs since it was getting close to nighttime.Â
While they were eating, he took the time to go back to the bedroom to check in on their mom, only to see her sitting up in bed while looking out the window with a dazed look on her face. Her head turned when she heard someone enter her room.Â
âWho are you and what are you doing in my house?â She questioned Law before making an attempt to get up, only for her weak self not to be able to move much.
âMy name is Trafalgar Law, and I am the captain of the Heart Pirates. Luffy sent me. Well, Ace gave the log pose to Luffy and instructed him to protect you. He couldnât come, so I took over the request. The marines are looking for you and your family.â
Y/N stares at him before moving to attempt to sit up again, only for him to push her back down.
âYour kids are fine. I made them something simple to eat. From the noise they are making, Iâm assuming they are outside terrorizing the wildlife.â He tells her before standing back a little.
âSounds like my kids.â She weakly jokes before coughing a little and lying back down to get more rest. Law starts to pull Kikoku out of its sheath.
The noise draws AJâs attention from outside the window. His eyes go wide before bolting into the house while grabbing his pipe on his way inside to go protect his defenseless mom. He runs down the hallway right to the bedroom before busting in the door, which draws Law's attention.
âGET AWAY FROM HER!â AJ screams out before charging towards the pirate captain with his pipe ready to swing.
Rouge and SJ peek up from where they were playing, only to see their eldest brother swinging his weapon towards Law. That caused them to jump into action before grabbing their weapons and heading towards AJ to help him.Â
They get to the room only to see their brother being restrained before being lightly thrown against the wall.
âWhat are you doing? Leave them alone, please.â SJ cries out to Law with tears in his eyes, hoping he would listen and back down.
Rouge doesnât waste one moment before water envelopes her fist, and she leaps toward Law. He saw the move coming, and all he did was step to the side, grab her fist, and gently toss her into the wall next to her brother. SJ just stands there crying while slowly backing away.
Law could see what the littlest Portgas was doing but just decided to ignore him. He pulled Kikoku out of its sheath and used his fruit to make it light up a soft blue, before facing the tip of the sword toward the ground and moving it left and right to scan. He could still hear the kid crying and pleading for him to stop.
After he got done with the scan, he turned to SJ to tell him the news, as he was the only one awake.
âKid, sheâs going to be fine. Stop crying. She has a stress cold. Give it a couple more days, and then she will be up and on her feet. Until then, Iâll stay to watch over the 3 of you and make sure that no marines or anyone finds this house until we figure out when to leave.â Law tells SJ, who just sniffs and rubs his nose to rid the snot that was starting to run down his face.
âLeave? Why are we leaving? This is our home.â SJ sadly questions him before inching closer to the captain.
Law decided to ignore his question, but he does take notice of the kid inching closer to him and decides not to say anything about it.
âWhen will my siblings wake up?â he shyly asks before getting closer to hold his mom's hand.
âSoon. Just be patient.â Law tells the kid.
Before long, AJ and Rouge start groaning and moving around before opening their eyes, only to see the little brother talking to the Heart captain.
âAJ, youâre awake.â SJ happily states while jumping off the bed to go hug his brother. AJ reciprocates the hug before jumping in front of him with his arms held out, blocking the pirate captain from coming near his siblings.Â
âItâs okay. Heâs helping mom. Mr Law said that she will start feeling better soon,â SJ told AJ before rubbing his eyes and yawning.
Law glanced out the window only to see the sun was almost fully set. He turned to the kids, who were standing next to their mom's bed, before sighing for what seemed like the thousandth time that day.Â
âYou all need to go to sleep. Iâll be going back to my sub to give instructions to my crew, then I will come back and take night watch.âÂ
âWill the marines attack us tonight?â SJ quietly asks him while standing with his siblings at the door watching Law get ready to leave for a little bit. Law crouched down so he is eye level with the kid.
âI doubt it. If any marines are snooping around, my crew and I will handle them. No harm will come to you.â was all he told the kids before rising to his normal stance and walking out the door.
After Law leaves them, they head to their room once they made sure the house was all locked up for the night. AJ helped Rouge and SJ get ready for bed before crawling onto the bottom bunk while his brother had the top bunk. Rouge had her own bed that was on the other side of the room. He waited until they were asleep before slipping out of his bed to head up the trellis that had all kinds of flowers growing on it, and climbing onto the roof to watch the stars.
A couple hours laterâŚ.
AJ was still on the roof, with his knees pulled to his chest while staring up at the stars as the night sky was as clear as it could be. He only looked away from the stars when he heard some rustling right past the tree line. There was no wind that night; it was a dead calm. He climbed down the trellis to grab his trusty pipe that was leaning against the side of the house.Â
The eldest Portgas kid gripped the pipe with both hands. He was ready to swing and attack whoever was coming towards their house.Â
As he went to swing at the shadowy figure, a hand came up and grabbed the pipe before it could hit anything. AJ opened his eyes only to see it was Law standing there in a yellow hoodie. The kid pulled the pipe from Lawâs hand before turning around and climbing back up the trellis to resume his stargazing.
Law stared at the kid scaling up the side of the house like a lizard before walking onto the porch and heading inside the house to check on the family.
While heading to their mom's room, he passed the walls that were filled to the brim with family pictures. He stopped at one picture of the family. It was the entire Portgas family, celebrating the triplets' 4th birthday. He could tell just by looking at the grinning Ace in the picture that his family was his entire world.Â
Another picture that was to the left of the family one was a picture of AJ sitting on top of Aceâs shoulders, giving the camera a big grin. Law stared at that picture of them. It was practically a copy and paste. There was no Y/N in AJ; it was all Ace.Â
âWeird.â Law thought while staring at AJ in the picture.Â
âThe kid looks happy, nothing like how he looks now. Heâs all anger and attitude now.â
Law just kept walking past the pictures to get to Y/Nâs room. He peeked into an open door that was just before Y/Nâs, only to see it was the kidâs room. Law slowly opened the door so as to not let it creak so the kids wouldnât wake up.Â
He walked over to Rougeâs bed only to see her curled up into a tight ball like a cat; she shivered a little when a slight breeze came through the open window. He walked over to the window to shut it so they wouldnât get sick and turned back to Rogue to grab the blanket that was at the end of the bed. He set it on her, and he watched as she grabbed the blanket and pulled it over her and up to her face.Â
âMight as well check on the shy one,â Law thought to himself before crossing the room quietly. He looked down at the sprawled-out SJ who had a snot bubble blowing out from him being passed out.
He gently closed the kids' door before opening up the one that was adjacent to the kids' room. Law quietly walked in, only to see Y/N sitting up in bed looking way better than she was earlier in the day.Â
She turned her head when she heard the door opening to see which of the kids it was, only for it to be Law coming in to check on her.
âHow are you feeling?â he asked her while moving to feel her forehead again.
âMuch better. Thank you.â She quietly told him before looking back out of the window.
It was quiet for a few moments. Law could tell she was deeply thinking about something and didnât want to interrupt her with meaningless conversation.
âHeâs not coming back, is he?â She asked him before turning to face him with tears in her eyes. She already knew the answer but needed someone else to confirm it.
âMy kids will have to grow up without a father. I was hoping that Ace wouldnât follow in his fatherâs legacy, but he was born to be a pirate, not a civilian, and definitely not someone who would settle down.âÂ
Law moved over to her to stand next to the bed and looked out the window with her.Â
âHe was smiling. At the end, he was smiling.â He told her.
Y/N sat there for a moment with that response before Law turned around to head out of the bedroom to check the house over.
âWas it quick or did it take a while?âÂ
That question stopped Law dead in his tracks. He answered her without turning around; he kept his back facing towards her.
âYou shouldnât think like that. He protected his little brother. He didnât die as a coward; he died as a hero. Remember that.â was all he told her before leaving her alone for the night. Unknown to them, a certain kid heard every word that was said.
Law stepped out onto the porch before moving to go sit on the giant swing that they had on the porch. He pulled his hat down to cover his eyes, before deciding to rest for a little.
âOur dad is dead, isnât he?âÂ
This made Law sigh; tonight was turning out to be way too emotional for his taste. He just wanted peace. Not sad and sobbing.
He got up off the swing, walked off the porch, and looked to see AJ still sitting on the roof.
AJ looks at him with a straight face and asks him the question once again.
âOur dad is dead. Thatâs why mom was crying and made herself sick,â he stated to Law before looking back up at the stars to try and hide his emotions.
Law jumps onto the roof from the ground and takes a seat by AJ. He was quiet for a moment, trying to decide how to proceed before deciding to just rip the band-aid off and come clean.
âYes, he is.â was all Law said.
Out of the corner of his eye, he could see AJâs shoulders shaking up and down at his response.
AJ didnât know what to do. Neither he nor his siblings had a father anymore; they only had their mom.
Law just set his hand onto AJâs shoulder for comfort. He knew no words would get through to the kid at the moment and figured this was the best he could do. He remembered Cora doing this to him one time, long ago.
âHe died happy, not sad. He died as a hero, not a coward or a failure. He left behind 3 kids who can carry on his legacy if they choose to do so. Ace wouldnât want you to cry over his death but to use it as fuel to get stronger and achieve whatever goals you and your siblings have.â
AJ wiped his nose and eyes before speaking.
âI donât have a goal,â He weakly says to Law.
âYouâll get one eventually. But for right now, just be a kid.â
They hear a noise, glance down, only to see it was Y/N, Rouge, and SJ standing there. The kids had tears in their eyes from the news they heard, while Y/N had both arms around them for comfort.Â
At the sight of his siblings' tears, AJ jumps down off the roof and pulls the 2 of them into a hug.
âDad wouldnât want us to be sad. He would want us to continue with his legacy.â AJ tells them.
Rouge quickly wipes her tears while SJ follows her lead, and they both nod up and down in agreement.
Y/N just stood back with Law next to her. The 2 of them were just standing there and watching the siblings have their moment.Â
AJ turns to his mom, and the question he asks causes her to freeze.
âMom, do we have any sake?â was all he asked her.
Her jaw drops at the audacity of a 5 almost 6 year old asking for alcohol. She gathered herself before quickly shaking her head no.
âAbsolutely not. Just because your father and uncles did it years ago doesnât mean youâll be doing it now.âÂ
The 3 kids just groan at her response while Law just smirks at the kids.
âNow shoo. Go to bed, itâs late now.â She demands all of them before kissing them on their heads.
The triplets start to go through the front door, but a small whistle made AJ turn his head a little, only to see Law wink at him. He stares at him, confused, before running inside at the look his mom gave him. He would have to ask what the wink meant later on.
âKids. I swear to god. Never have any.â Y/N tells Law before going inside the house.
He walks behind her to the living room, where she pulls out a blanket and a pillow out of a closet and sets them on the couch.
âI figured you would want somewhere comfy to sleep. Hopefully the couch is comfortable enough for you. If not, Iâm sure I can have Rouge sleep in my bed, and you could take hersâ
âThe couch is plenty fine for me. I donât sleep much at night.â Law tells her while she goes to shut off a lamp.
âThank you for the stuff,â she heard Law say to her before she went down the hall to her bedroom to finally get a good night's sleep.Â
Law heard her shut her door before setting his sword down on the floor next to him and setting his hat on the coffee table. He lay there for a few moments, just thinking over the day before shutting his eyes to try and get some sleep.
Summary: Ace's last wish to Luffy was for him to find his family and to protect them. Luffy is unable to, so he entrusted Law to find them for him. Only for Law to slowly become a father figure to the kids and a lover to their mom.
A/N: This will contain slight spoilers. It's going to take place after Marineford during the 2 year time skip.
A/N: If there are any mistakes please let me know. This will be a series. I've had this idea in my head for the longest time. I finally decided to type it out
-----------------------------------------------------
Near the end of MarinefordâŚ
It was near the end of the Paramount War, Ace just jumped in front of his little brother, Luffy, in order to protect him from the Admirals fist.Â
âYou are going to be fine Ace. Iâll get you some help. Just hang on please.â Luffy tells Ace while silently praying he isnât going to lose his last brother.
âWe already lost Sabo. Please donât let me lose you.âÂ
Ace just slowly smiles while relaxing into Luffyâs embrace. He had to get the next bit out before he died.
âLuffy. I need you to do something extremely important for me. Please.â Ace quietly tells Luffy who sniffs a little before growing quiet to hear what Ace needed.
âDiscretely reach into my pocket.â He slowly tells Luffy who moves his hand slowly as to not arouse any suspicion. He fumbled for a moment only for him to pull out an eternal log pose to an island called Whale Island. Luffy blinked at it for a moment before turning his head to Ace who was sadly smiling at it with tears in his eyes.
âWhatâs this?âÂ
âIt will take you to an island. I need you to go there and protect them.â he tells his little brother who is beyond confused at the request.
âI get that part but whatâs in the town? Is it meat?â Luffy excitedly asks while almost drooling at the thought of discovering a stockpile of meat. Ace just chuckles a little, he could feel his life leaving bit by bit. Of course the only thing on Luffyâs mind was meat.
âMy family is there.â was all Ace said to Luffy who just got a shocked look on his face.Â
Luffy was confused about what family. He always said that his parents were both gone. That no one was left. Ace could tell by his posture that Luffy was confused over it.
âMy girlfriend and our 3 kids. AJ, Rouge, and SJ are my kids. They are 5 years old. I need you to protect them now that I wonât be able to. The marines will be looking for them like they did 20 years ago.â Ace tells Luffy. Unknown to them, a low level marine overheard and immediately left to go tell the higher ups.
MeanwhileâŚ
âFire Fist Ace has a family?â the marine thought to himself while grinning at the promotion he could practically smell when he delivered this news. He immediately left the battlefield and headed straight for a higher up.
âVice admiral Garp sir.â the marine stated while saluting to his higher up.
âWhat cadet? Donât you see we are in a war.â Garp responded back to the nervous marine. The cadet cleared his throat before quietly mentioning what he overheard. The news made Garp freeze, he didnât know what to do.Â
âI refuse to protect a pirate no matter the family bonds. But what about a civilian who isnât a pirate?â Garp deeply thought to himself while keeping an eye on the battlefield. He turned his back at what was happening with his 2 grandsons on the field. He closed his eyes when he heard Luffy screaming and crying.
After AceâŚ
âDrop him here. Iâm the only one who can save Strawhat.â Law demanded towards the flying clown who dropped Jimbei and Luffy off before flying back to snatch the hat off the ground.
âCATCH!â Law turned around only to catch the infamous straw hat in his hands. He turned around and walked into the sub that was starting to gather water on the deck from diving.
As Law was preparing to start the operation on Luffy, he saw something in Strawhatâs hand. He lifted the hand only to see he had a death grip on an Eternal Log Pose set for Whale Island. Law tried to pry it out of Strawhatâs hand only to fail. The Heart's Pirate captain just laid the hand back down and proceeded to start the operation.
âThis is gonna be fun.â Law darkly stated while grinning before starting the operation.
Amazon Lily IslandâŚ
Luffy just sat in the middle of the destroyed forest with Jimbei at his side. Luffy was having a hard time processing his brotherâs death. He didnât know what to do.
âI couldnât protect my friends, or my brotherâ Luffy sadly thought to himself while trying to calm down so he wouldnât reopen his wounds.
A sandaled foot nudged his knee before he glanced up only to see Rayleigh standing there looking down at him. Rayleigh could tell Luffy had been through the ringer the last couple of days. He had a feeling that this would be an extremely big wake up call for the pirate.
âWhat are you holding there?â Rayleigh asked Luffy, who glanced down to look at what was in his hands. Luffy handed it over to the dark king who took it and checked it out.
âWhale Island? Never heard of it.â
âAce told me to go to that island and save his family.â Luffy told the dark king who handed the log pose back to him.Â
âAce has a family? Iâm sure it will be a repeat of what happened 20 years ago.â Rayleigh stated to Luffy who just glanced up at him confused. The ex pirate could tell he was confused before he started to laugh and sat down on a big rock next to Luffy.
â 20 years ago when Roger was executed, there was a rumor that was spreading like wildfire. It said that Roger had a child with a woman. The higher up Marines didnât want another Gol D. Roger running around with his blood flowing through a childâs veins. They wanted to end his bloodline.â Rayleigh started to tell Luffy the story who was staring at him in awe at this story.
Rayleigh saw the mesmerized look on his face before he smiled and started to continue the story.
âFor 10 months, marines went all around the world checking island after island. They hounded every doctor, every pregnant and suspected woman. They didnât find any children. So they laid it to rest. After all, 10 months after the execution, the supposed child would have been born by then. Your grandfather, Garp, discovered about Rouge who was Aceâs mother.âÂ
âWhat happened?â Luffy curiously asked. He was captivated by the story.
âShe kept Ace inside her womb for 20 months. It was medically impossible but it showed that a motherâs love is an extremely powerful thing. Garp found her the day Ace was born. Right when he showed up, she unfortunately passed away. She was way too weak to keep fighting.âÂ
âThat was when Garp dropped Ace off at Dadanâs. She mentioned it a few times but none of them went into depth about it.â Luffy told Rayleigh who just stood up.
âI hate to be the bearer of bad news. But you canât go look for them. You need training, which I will personally oversee. Once you are healed, we will begin.â was all Rayleigh said before walking away.
Luffy just watched him leave before looking to Jimbei who was nowhere to be found. He got up to start heading back to the beach before he saw Law standing on the beach while commanding his crew to get the sub fixed from when it exploded. Luffy stopped next to the Hearts captain, and for the first time in his life he had no words to say.Â
Law looked towards Luffy only to see him staring down at a log pose.
He glanced back down to the Eternal Log pose in his hand before handing it out to Law who glanced down at him in confusion.
â Why are you holding it out to me?â Law asked before reaching out with a hand to take it.
âOn that island is the last of Aceâs bloodline. I need you to find them, and protect them until I am able to get them. It was his last wish.â Luffy told him.
Law glanced down at the log pose to see it read âWhale Islandâ. He looked to Luffy who was staring at the sea with a sad, depressed look on his face. Law could tell this was a hard thing for him to ask.Â
âAre you sure? You donât even know me. I could kill them.â He tells the straw hat captain who just turned to him in response.
âYouâre a good guy Traffy. If you werenât, you would have let me die. But you didnât, you saved meâ Luffy told him before getting ready to go with Rayleigh.
Luffy took one last look at the log pose before turning his head to go over to where Rayleigh was waiting. He had a plan, and now he had to execute it. He just hoped his crew was smart enough to understand it.
He hated that he wasnât able to go to Aceâs family, but he needed to train so nothing would happen again like it did back in the Archipelago. Deep down, Luffy knew he would meet his niece and nephews one day.Â
The Hearts pirate just turned and headed back over to his crew who was finishing up the repairs on the Polar Tang. Bepo saw him coming but before he could say anything, Law tossed the log pose over to the Polar Bear Mink. He caught it, and looked to his captain confused on why he had it.
âWe need to go to this island. Immediately. There are some people that need help.âÂ
The crew just stared at the stoic captain in shock at how caring he sounded.
âAw captain, are you getting a soft spot?â one of his crew members teasingly asked the captain whose ears started to turn red. He closed his eyes and slowly breathed in, before turning to the member.
âOn that island, is a family that is about to be on the Marines most wanted list. They wonât capture them, they will kill them. I donât know about you, but Iâm not letting some innocent woman, and her kids die.âÂ
At that remark, the entire crew fell silent. The last thing they wanted was a dead family on their conscience.Â
âWhose family is it?â Bepo slowly asked before moving to head to the navigatorâs room to head to the island.
âFire Fist Aceâs family.â was all Law said before walking into the sub to head down to his office to make plans.
Bepo and the crew just watched the captain leave before turning to each other in confusion.
âIs it just me or is the captain acting a bit out of character?â Penguin asked the other members.
Everyone just shrugged before leaving to head to their post as they were fixing to dive into the ocean.
5 days laterâŚ
Law was sitting at his chair that was in his office. So far he was able to come up with 3 different plans if everything on the island went to shit.Â
âOption 1- I take them with me onto the sub and have 4 more mouths to feed. But they will be protected and safe while we continue with our sailing.â Law thought to himself before scratching that plan. There were too many things to factor in.
âOkay Option 2- The crew stays at the sub while I stay with the family for a little bit to try and get an idea on whatâs happening with the Marines.â Law thought to himself before putting a star beside it. So far it was the best option out of the 3. He glanced down to the last option before scratching through it immediately.
âOption 3- Leave them and put my crew first.â Law stared at that crossed out option before shaking his head and leaning back in his chair. He didnât even know why that would even be an option. He shut his eyes to delay the oncoming headache he could feel.
A knock on the door caught his attention before he sighed and opened up his eyes.
âCome in.â
Bepo stuck his head into the room to see Law staring at him from his desk.
âCaptain, just letting you know we are about 10 minutes out from the island.â was all Bepo said before closing the door.
Law stood up to stretch out his back and whatever other bones would crack from how long he was sitting. He grabbed his Nodachi, and his hat before walking out of his office to head to the deck now that they had surfaced.Â
As soon as he got to the top deck, he could tell this was a thriving island, especially since it got no traffic from Marines. It was an uncharted island, which he thought would be the perfect place to hide a family. When the sub got closer to the island, he let out a sigh at how big the town was. It stretched for miles, it could almost pass as a city.
âListen up, Iâm going around town to try and find some information on the whereabouts of the family. I want 3 members to stay on the sub, and the rest of you to go into town and restock on our supplies. Also keep an eye out for any Marines. If you see any or a ship let me know immediately.â Law ordered everyone before grabbing his Nodachi and walking down the ramp onto the dock.
After he got past the harbour, he walked for a few minutes just scoping the town out before he got to the town square where it seemed a festival of some sorts was going on. He spotted movement out the corner of his and when he turned he saw the Whitebeard Pirates flag flying high in the sky. That told him he was the right island.Â
Law started to turn to head over to a stall before yelling caught his attention. He turned around to see what the noise was.
âAJ come back here right now.â a shop owner yelled out. Law glanced over at the name he heard only to see no one there.Â
âThat shop owner must know them well if she calls the kid by his name.â Law thought to himself before changing directions and walking over to the stall.
âThat name is one of the people that I am looking for.â Law told the keeper who just stared at him suspiciously. Not many people asked about that family. That entire family was the heart of this island.Â
âWhy are you looking for them?â the shop keeper asked the pirate captain.
âNone of your business. Now tell me where I can find them.â Law demanded.Â
âSorry. Wrong island. Now leaveâ.
Law narrowed his eyes at the shop owner who just stared back in return. He just sighed at the stubborn owner before giving her a little information to try and get her to spill something useful.
âThey are in trouble. Thatâs why Iâm here.â
âI donât believe you.â She stubbornly told him before ignoring him and turning to the next customer who was waiting to have his order taken.
âWhat a vile womanâ Law thought to himself before walking back across the walkway over to the next stall that looked suspicious.
âHave you seen the Portgas family?â
âWhere can I find a woman and 3 kids?â
âTell me where the Portgas family is atâ
These were some of the things that he said towards the shop keepers and anyone who would be useful for information. Just as he was giving up for the day to head back to the sub to check on his crew, a cough sounded out that caught Lawâs attention. He turned his head towards the ally where a small bar was hidden half way down.Â
Once he got close to the bar, a short woman popped out of a barrel which made Law jump at the sudden intrusion.Â
âI hear you are looking for the Portgas family.â the mysterious barrel woman said while glancing around to make sure no one was listening. Law could tell she had something to say so he pointed his sword towards her to get her to speak.
âIâm 3 times your age, so you better put that sword down. Those kids always help me out when I need it even when I donât ask for it.â She started to say while looking him straight in the eye. He sheathed his sword per her request and stood there with an eyebrow up waiting for her to give out some information. She pointed down the road on the other side of the festival.
âOn the other side of the town square, follow the road down to the fork. At the fork go straight. There isnât a distinctive path, just keep following it down a few miles. Youâll want to watch out for traps. The eldest always have traps set for people who may stumble upon them.â the barrel woman told him before ducking back into the barrel and setting the lid on top. He stood there for a moment, he was bewildered at what the woman did. He just turned around and took a right out of the ally to follow her directions.
âRemember there are 3 kids, AJ who is the eldest- he is the ringleader, he fights with a pipe. Rouge, who is the 2nd eldest, follows AJ in everything he does. She has the water-water devil fruit The youngest one, SJ, is the shy one. He uses a pipe and wooden daggers!â the lady yelled out to him and he just waved his hand in a dismissive way.
Once he got past the festival, it was finally quiet and he could breathe much better. He glanced around the forest looking out for any so-called traps. There were a bunch of different flowers planted, a variety of different trees that heâs never seen before, and a medium sized creek that he had to cross over on his trek.
A few steps from the wooden bridge, a log appeared out of one of the trees and was aimed straight at him. He jumped back a little just avoiding it barely. He stared at the swinging log in surprise.
âHow did 3, 5 year olds create such an elaborate trap?â He thought to himself before cutting the log with his sword and continued on.Â
Before long he got to the fork in the road, he glanced around before deciding to just continue straight through the trees where he encountered a hidden trap door that he jumped over. He looked down between the bars only to see there was a wooden spike at the bottom of the pit.
âThese kids have guts, that's for sure.â He spoke to himself before continuing down the nonexistent path.Â
He was nearing the end of the walk before suddenly stopping when the 2 figures that were following him jumped down from the trees. From one look at the boy he could tell these were 2 of Aceâs kids. The boy was wielding a pipe and the girl had the same weapon only hers was frozen on one end.
A/N: This is part 2. I have a feeling that I'll be making this a short series. I have so many ideas in my head. Why does this man have to be so damn fine. Please enjoy, and if there is anything not correct please let me know. I know itâs a different layout a little bit but i donât know why tumblr is not adding it.
A/N: This was a request by someone, but I don't know how to tag an account just quite yet. I wanna create a master list or organize my blog a little but not too sure on how to do it.
Will contain some slight spoilers from the Marineford Arc
Towards the end of the Paramount war, Jinbei was holding on to a traumatized Luffy, and an unconscious Y/N. Jinbei wasnât doing too well either, he repeatedly kept losing consciousness but he was focused on getting the 2 kids out of Marineford. He tried to hold on but ultimately lost the battle of trying to stay awake and ended up passing out which caused him to start plummeting to the ground at a fast pace.Â
Buggy the clown swooped down, and grabbed the back of Jinbeiâs outfit to help get them to safety. Buggy and Luffy may be top rivals, but that doesn't mean he wanted the kid dead. He glanced down to Y/N who was wrapped up in Luffyâs arm. The sight made him roll his eyes. Even unconscious, the damn kid was still protective as hell over her.Â
âBRING THEM OVER HERE!.â was all that the clown heard before looking in the direction the voice came from only to see it was from an unusual looking ship.
âWHO THE HELL ARE YOU?â Buggy yelled out towards the person that had a white bear looking thing next to them.
âIâm a doctor and Iâm the only one who can save Strawhat.âÂ
Buggy wasnât too keen on dropping the trio onto the ship, only for the girl to quietly say something that made him decide.
âTraffy can help.â She weakly told the clown before falling unconscious again. He looked down at her to the best of his ability, and his eyes softened a little at her relaxed face. Buggy sped up a little faster, and threw the trio towards the weird looking person. Jean caught Luffy and Jinbi before speeding through the opened door down to the infirmary. Law caught Y/N and he quickly glanced down at her face, a little mad at himself for not upholding part of Corazonâs wish.Â
âHURRY UP AND DIVE.â was all Law yelled out towards Bepo who ran to the navigatorâs area.Â
Right before Law went through the door, he heard the clown yell out one more time. He turned around only to see a straw hat being tossed his way.Â
âYou better take care of her.â Buggy threatened him before taking his leave.
He snatched the hat out of the air with one hand while the other was holding Corazonâs daughter up. Once he acquired the hat, he quickly ducked into the door since the water was starting to rise up from them starting to dive.Â
Law set her on a med bay before getting some gloves on to start working on fixing up her captain. He glanced up and down Luffyâs before giving a dark grin.
âThis is going to be fun. Let's get to work.â He instructed some of his crew members who were assisting with the surgery.
A few hours later, Law was wiping his hand on a towel after successfully completing Strawhats surgery and patching up the other 2. He had a couple of his crew mates move Y/N to a more private room. As he was walking to her room, only to get there and see her looking around confused.
âWhere am I?â she weakly asked Law when he moved closer to her bed. Her eyes focused on his face before she realized it was the pirate captain who tried to take her back to Sabody.
âDID YOU KIDNAP ME?!â She yells out before moving to try and sit up.Â
Before he can explain to her, She quickly sits up before she starts to freak out and frantically tries to take off all the medical equipment that she was hooked up to. He reached out to grab her hands before she shoved them away from her.
âJust relax. I didnât kidnap you. You are on the Polar Tang which is my ship. Your annoying captain is down the hall recovering from major surgery.â he replied to her which calmed her down a tad bit.
âHow did we get here? We were at Marineford trying to save Ace.â She quietly tells him before snapping her head up to look at him with her big brown eyes.
âWhereâs Ace? He was with us.âÂ
That was the dreaded question that made the stoic Hearts Captain freeze in his place. How could he explain what happened to Ace without setting her off again. He decided to just be straight forward with her. He would deal with the repercussions at a later date.
âHe died.â Law bluntly told her while backing up a little to give her a little bit of space and so he wouldnât get hit when he knew she would lash out.
âWha-What do you mean? He was alive from the last thing I remember.âÂ
âOne of the Admirals, Admiral Akainu went to use a fist covered with fire towards your immobile captain, and Ace jumped in front of it which was what took his life.â He gently but bluntly explained to her.
When he told her what had happened, her head snapped back up to look him in the eyes to see if he was lying but he wasnât. She frantically shook her head back and forth, she refused to believe it.
âItâs not true. My brother wouldnât do that to me. Not againâ She tells him before her eyes start to fill with water. She covered her mouth with one of her hands and tilted her head down to face the blanket so he wouldnât see her showing weakness.
Law turned around and started to check her vitals so he could update her chart. He wasnât going to leave her right now since she wasnât in a correct state of mind but he could busy himself to give her a little bit of privacy. After a few minutes, he turned back around only to see the bed empty, and all the wires to the medical equipment on the ground. He glanced around the room to see if she was still in there with him, only to find nothing but him.Â
He threw his head back and let out a long, deep groan while cursing that damn calm-calm fruit.Â
âDamn her and that damn fruit.â was all he said before moving to leave the room to try and locate his guest before her captain woke up. That was not a conversation he wanted to have with Strawhat. The last thing that the annoying captain needed was learning that his sister is missing.Â
He glanced out one of the windows as he was walking by and it showed that they were still under water which was a good thing. It meant she would still be somewhere on the ship. Now he just had to find her and force her back into her bed so she could rest and recover.
After looking around the sub for the past 30 minutes, he was getting annoyed and irritated that he has yet to locate her.
He came to the hallway that lead to the crewâs rooms, and stood there in the middle of the corridor deciding to take a moment and think like her.
If I was Cora where would I go, I would want no one bothering or disturbing me, he thought to himself before the location she was at came to his mind.
âShe has the characteristics of her dad, along with the personality and the fruit, so she has to be there.â He mumbled to himself before turning right to head down to the room all the way at the end of the corridor.
He came to a door that had âcaptainâ on it. It was the only place that no one would be in. Law took a deep breath while praying that she was in there as he was fed up with looking for her. He knocked on the door but decided to open when he didnât hear anything.
Once the door was opened, he slowly walked in and started to scan around his room. Nothing looked out of the ordinary, bed was still made, and a desk was covered with medical journals that heâs been studying late at night.
He looked over toward where his closet door was. It was slightly opened, and he always made sure it was fully closed. Law shuffled over and took a peek inside only to see nothing since it was too dark. He slowly opened it and looked down to see Y/N sitting with her knees to her chest with her head on her knees just staring at the wall, nothing paying attention to anything. The captain could tell she had her devil fruit activated by the very faint blue tint around her. He knew she wouldnât be able to hear him while she had the dome around her.Â
Law moved to sit down right outside the closet door, just patiently waiting for her to notice him. It didnât take too long for her to notice the Hearts captain in front of her. She looked at him, like really looked at him. She could tell he barely slept due to the slight eye bags under his greyish eyes. Y/N looked him up and down. She couldnât deny that he was a good looking man, dark hair that was usually covered with his black and white spotted hat, only he wasnât wearing it. It made him look even more handsome.
Y/N could see he was saying something but she was unable to hear due to her dome. He made a downward motion with his fist. She hesitated on lowering her barriers but ultimately decided to do what he wanted in case he had an update on her captain.
Once the barrier was down, she watched him scoot closer to her. He didnât say anything which made her slightly appreciate it. After he got closer to her, she put the barrier back up and they just sat in silence for a few moments.
âItâs been awhile since I saw this dome.â Law quietly tells her while trying to fill the silence. Y/N looked over at him just for her to see him glancing around in awe.
âBeing told about Ace just brought up some bad memories that I thought were buried forever.â She quietly told him, he just looked over at her, deciding to just let her speak about whatâs on her mind.
âWhat kind of memories?â He slowly asks her, hoping it wasnât what he was thinking.
She was silent for a moment, trying to figure out how to say it without sounding like she is a damsel in distress.
âMy mom passed away from an illness that spread rapidly through the town that we had just moved to. I was lucky enough to be one of the few kids who didnât catch it.â She started to say while setting her chin back onto her knees that were pulled up to her chest.
âOnce she passed away, one of the neighbors took us kids in. They fed us, gave us clothes and tried to make sure we had a decent childhood despite everything that happened. Everything was fine for about a year, thatâs when a pirate crew stormed the village. We were still trying to rebuild the town back up so we didnât have much and that didnât make the pirates happy. They said that since the town couldnât hand them supplies that they would have to make it worth their while.â She told Law who was just sitting there listening to her story.
âFast forward to when they were leaving, they decided to take 3 kids with them as slaves. The town people gladly let us go. I was one of those 3 kids. We were forced to scrub the ship from top to bottom. This went on for a few months before the pirate crew was boarded by another pirate group. Their captain walked into the room we were curled up in, and decided to take us with him. He dropped us onto an island that had another kid on it. Thatâs when I met Luffy who took me in, despite my background. I then met Ace and another kid who later became 2 more brothers to me.â She finished the story by looking back at Law whose jaw was clenched from her story. His reaction caused her to look back towards the floor of the closet.
â...Who was the captain who rescued you?âÂ
She looked up at him only to see him looking her directly in the eyes. Y/N just slowly smiled at him before telling him who saved her.
âWell, it was Red-Haired Shanks.â
That very name caused his eyes to go wide. Now everything was starting to make sense. Shanks had a tendency of picking up strays and dropping them off at 1 island so they would be able to have friends and not be alone in the world.Â
Law could tell that was the end of her story. The Hearts pirate captain took a good look at her. He couldnât help but notice how fit build despite not being a fighter. Her long curly blonde hair went half way down her back. It made him want to run his fingers through the silky looking, curly strands.
He shook his head to get his mind out of the gutter before he did something he knew Cora would not have approved of. He didnât have time nor wanted to be in a relationship right now. Not with his mind set of getting his revenge on Doflamingo.
Law cleared his throat to get her attention before moving to stand up. He turned to her, and held out a hand to help her up. His face was slightly red at the hand he was offering.Â
She stared at the hand before dropping the dome, and taking the outstretched hand. He gently grasped it and slowly helped her stand up. Only after she was upright and not swaying or anything did he let her hand go.Â
âWhy did you want me so badly on your ship back in Sabody?â She asked him while both of them started walking out of his room and towards the kitchen where he was sure she would want to eat something.
âYour dad asked me before the accident to watch over your mother and you. He made me promise that I would protect the 2 of you till the day I died. Only I was too late for your mother, but itâs still not too late for you.â He told her before opening the door to the kitchen and letting her walk through first.
âLaw-â she goes to say before he interrupts her.
âJoin my crew. I can protect you and provide for you way better than Strawhat can. You can help me keep my promise to your father.â Law told her before gently taking her hand.
âI canât.â She weakly told him while shaking her hand a little for him to let her go.Â
He just sighed at that before deciding to take his leave to go check on her captain, and Jinbei. She could tell he wasnât too happy with the news, but she couldnât leave Luffy all alone. He just lost their 2nd brother, the last thing he needed was being alone.Â
Y/N just watched Law leave the kitchen before turning back to the counter and started to move to check the cabinets to see what the heart pirates had for food. She had a feeling that this conversation was far from over, and things will take a turn for the worst until she agreed on staying with Law.
A/N: Sorry for not posting anything. We had a really bad storm, and it knocked our power out for a few days. I live in the country so we aren't electric companies biggest priorities. I have been busy dealing with cleaning up our property and dealing with my 3 year old.
P.S.: I've been having such a hard time with writing. It's more of I have so many ideas, I just can't get them all wrote out. If the picture or if there is any errors please let me know.
#1: Being the wife to Trafalgar Law means having to sleep alone most nights cause he would have his head buried in medical books and lose track of time.
The Polar Tang was docked at some uncharted island for the night. The Heart Pirates decided to camp out on the beach for once. They wanted fresh air after being in the submarine for the past few days. Every member wanted to use sleeping bags, while Law and his wife chose a tent.
One of the crew members' loud snoring accidentally wakes his wife up from her deep sleep. She lifts her head, and her sleepy eyes glance around the medium sized tent. She didnât see her husband in there with her.
âHe must be in his office.â She thought while slowly sitting up to stretch her tired body out.Â
Y/N started to crawl out of the tent and she didnât see someone laying right in front of the tent which caused her to trip over them. Once she stood up, she turned around and kicked the crew member across the beach.
âDONâT SLEEP IN FRONT OF THE TENT!â She yelled at the crew member who just mumbled sorry and went back to sleep.
After dealing with the crew member, she walked onto the Polar Tang to find her husband. She didnât look in any of the doors, she marched past all the doors and went straight to Lawâs office. She knocked once before getting impatient and kicked the door open. Lawâs head immediately shot up to see who was invading the Sub only to see his angry wife.
âDo you even realize how late it is?â She questioned him with her hands folded across her chest.
â...No. I was busy with work.â Law weakly attempted to say before he was cut off by Y/N.
âWho cares about your work? Itâs nighttime so that means your ass should be asleep next to me.â Was all she told him before she turned around to leave the office. Once she left, he let out a sigh and started to clean up his desk before he left for the night. He already pissed his wife off, so he already knew this wasnât the end of the conversation. She held grudges for weeks at a time. If she wasnât mad, she would have stayed behind and helped pick up but with her anger she left it all for him to do.
Once the desk was decent looking, he got up and left his office to go to the tent. Law was hoping she would be asleep and he would be able to go to sleep peacefully. As he was walking to the tent, he saw one of his members asleep in their sleeping bag while dangling from a tree. He stopped to stare at the bizarre sight before he shook his head and continued on. It was way too late for him to be dealing with anything. He quietly opened up their shared tent only to see her still awake before flinching a little at her looking at him.
âSorry for tonight.â He told her while moving to lay down next to her. She stared at him for a moment before she moved closer to him and laid down. Her head was on his chest with an arm and a leg slung across his body before scooting closer to him to get comfy. Law was frozen at the action, he was fully aware he would be sleeping alone tonight. Her sudden action confused him.
âUm. You okay?â Law hesitantly asked her while wrapping his arms around her.
âYeah. I'm fine, just tired.âÂ
âIf youâre sure. Also whatâs with that crew mate in the treeâ. Law asked her which caused her to freeze and glanced up to him.
âThey were asleep in front of the tent so I kickedâem.â She bluntly told him before rolling out of his arms to go to sleep on the other side of the sleeping bag.
He just stares at her in disbelief before slowly rolling onto his side and deciding to just ignore the problem and go to sleep.Â
#2: Being married to Trafalgar Law means helping him through his nightmares he has about his childhood.
It was in the dead of the night. The Polar Tang was docked at an uninhabited island while waiting for the log post to reset. Most of the crew were asleep besides a couple of lookouts that were up on deck keeping guard for any enemies. Law was sound asleep in the bed with his wife next to him Law kept shaking his head back and forth while his face was all tensed up. After a few moments he finally opens his eyes and quickly sits up while grabbing his chest from him breathing so hard.
After he calmed down a moment, he glanced over to check on his wife only to not see her curled up next to him which made his heart stop. Law immediately threw the blankets off of him, and walked out of their shared room to search for her. He checked all the places she would normally be at, only to not find her anywhere. Law decided to check the kitchen last as she isnât allowed by herself in the kitchen since she couldnât cook to save her life.
He opened the door to see her standing at the stove with her back turned so he couldnât see her face. Law cleared his throat a little to try and get her attention without scaring her since she has always been extremely easy to scare. Y/N jumps a little causing her to spill some boiling water on her hand.Â
âShit.â She whispered before moving to turn the cold water on so she could stick her hand underneath. Her actions caused Law to practically run over to her and snatched her hand out of the cool water to assess the damage only to find a small red mark from the water. He takes her hand and shoves it back under the water to help with inflammation.
âIt wonât blister much but do try to be more careful.â He tells her before moving to turn the water off. Â
âWhy are you up?â She asks him before grabbing her mug of chamomile. He just stares at her before grabbing a glass to drink some water.
â....I had a nightmare.â He quietly murmurs to her before taking a sip of water. She stares at him for a moment trying to decide on how or what to say so as to not cause him to close back up.
âDo you wanna talk about it?â She asks him while moving to stand up to get closer to him.
âJust reliving the past. Nothing to worry about.â Law tells her while setting his hand on hers.
He just let out a sigh before gripping her hand tighter.
âIt was about the time Cora was murdered. But this time instead of him, it was you.â He whispers softly to her.
âI donât plan on leaving this world anytime soon.â She quietly tells him. He looks up at her face to see what her reaction was only to see her softly smiling at him.
âYou wonât be if I have anything to say or do about it.â was all he told her.
She just looks at him and slowly takes a sip of her tea. Her movement caused her to glance up to his face only to see him staring her down. She looks back down at her steaming cup to avoid him profiling her.
âWhy are you awake?âÂ
âCouldnât sleep. I keep having weird dreams except they felt real. I woke up and you were finally sleeping for once and I just didnât want to wake you up so I decided to get up and get something to drink.â She quietly tells him before laying her head on his shoulder. The movement caused him to freeze up for a quick moment before relaxing and letting his head fall on to hers.
The kitchen was quiet for a good bit. Law glanced down to his wife only for her to be passed out. He didnât want to wake her up but decided to rouse her a little to try and get her to move so he could pick her up.Â
âWake up.â
âMmm. no.â She tells him before moving around to get to a more comfortable position. He took this chance to stand up which caused her to lean a little before snapping her eyes open to catch herself so she wouldnât fall.Â
After disposing of their cups, he bent down a little to set his arm around her back, and underneath her legs and slowly lifted her up into his arms.Â
âYou know, this reminds me of our wedding night.â He tells her which caused her to giggle a little at the memory.
âYou mean when you whacked my head into the wall trying to walk through our bedroom door?â She reminds him which caused Law to stop in his tracks to look down at her.
âNo commentâ was all he told her before starting to walk again. She just laughed at the response before laying her head on his shoulder. Law just smirked a little at her laugh before falling silent once they got to the dorm area. He would let her pick on him anytime she wanted as long as her smile never faded.
#3: Being the wife to Trafalgar Law means him having to get used to your stuff being everywhere.
Law just sighed for the thousandth time that day at the sight of his wifeâs clothes strewn all over their bed. His wife had a shopping addiction, anytime she went into time by herself she always buys stuff even if she doesnât use it for a while.Â
One time his wife bought a crystal necklace only for it to sit in her jewelry box for months cause she decided it didnât look right on her. Despite him telling her that she looks beautiful with it.Â
âLook at what I got todayâ She said to law when she busted into his office while he was working.Â
Law glanced up from his paperwork to see what she was showing him only to see she got a necklace that she would never wear since she despised necklaces.
âYou do realize that you hate wearing things around your neck right?â He told her before going back to his paperwork. She lowered the jewelry back down, and stared at it in her hand.
âI forgot about that.â She told him. He glanced up and saw her lips pouting. Law decided if he wants a happy life, he needs a happy wife.
âEither way it would look beautiful on you.â He bashfully tells her before burying his face back into the papers so she wouldnât see his red face.
âMaybe I can give this to a Strawhat member. Iâm sure their navigator would like it.â She tells herself before walking out the door without a response to him.
He just looks up at her before deadpanning at her pretty much ignoring what he said. He just let out a sigh and went back to his work now that the disruption was gone.
Another time, they were stopped at an island, she went off on her own without telling him and came back with a big basket of bread for everyone.
âSeriously?â Was all law said before turning around and going back into his office. Her owlish eyes just blinked a few times at him before turning around to continue heading down to the kitchen to drop off the gift to whoever cooked that night. She couldnât turn down something that was gifted to her by the island residents.
Once all the clothes were picked up and shoved into her drawers/closets did he leave the room to go and complain about her leaving stuff scattered everywhere.
#4: Being the wife to Law means him having to get used to her hanging around the Strawhat pirates during the alliance:
âNAMI! ROBIN! THEY HAVE CLOTHING STORES! â She yelled up from the dock to the Thousand Sunny where the girls were getting ready to leave. Nami popped her head up at that before clapping her hands and grabbing Robin to drag her down so they could get started on shopping.Â
Lawâs face drops at his wife yelling that. He could already feel his pockets crying from how much berry his wife was going to be spending today. Luffy saw Lawâs reaction to his wife, it had him pointing at Traffy and laughing his ass off. Usopp looked over to see what Luffy was laughing at only to start laughing as well. They were laughing so hard that they fell over and were rolling around on the grassy deck of the Sunny. Law gave them a death stare before walking away to get away from all the chaos.
Law was walking around the island that the Strawhats were docked at trying to look for his wife who was gone as soon as the sun was up this morning. He could hear her laughing once he turned a corner and saw her crouched down, talking with the Strawhats doctor while looking at stuff.
âY/N-nie, look at all the herb and medicinal stuff they have.â Chopper excitedly tells her while looking up at her. He was acting like a kid in a candy store.
âIt certainly is a lot of stuff. What do you plan on buying?â She asks him while moving to stand up so she could bend down and pick him up so he could see everything better.
âI have no idea. I wanna buy it all.â He excitedly tells her before climbing out of her arms and up to her shoulders.
They were so busy looking around that they didnât even notice Law watching them. He was following behind them while keeping an eye out for any kind of danger.Â
She would make a really good mom, Law thought to himself while glancing around.Â
He couldnât help but imagine a future with her. They would retire from being pirates, and live a quiet life on an island with no Marine presence. He would run a doctors office, and she would be tending to the home with the kids or working at a bakery or whatever she desired to do. He would make sure his family always came first, no matter what.
He snapped out of his daydream when he heard his wife gasp in surprise. Law immediately glanced around with a hand on his sword ready to strike down anyone bothering them.Â
âOuuu. Chopper look! They have cotton candy!â She excitedly told Chopper who was bouncing in place at the thought of the sweet fluffy treat.
âHow about we get some to end the day? My treat.â She tells him while going to set him down on the ground.
Chopper looks up at Y/N and excitedly nods his head up and down. While they were waiting in line, his wife was glancing around before spotting her husbandâs fluffy hat.Â
âHey! Over here!â She yells toward him while waving her hand back and forth.
Law saw her waving him over before walking over to quiet her down.
âHow was your day?â He asks her before moving to take over with getting their order.
âIt was good. We had a secret bodyguard the entire day.â She told him before taking the candy from his hands to hand one to Chopper who was bouncing from excitement.
Law froze at her response. He was so sure that she didnât notice him. She saw his reaction before she started to laugh a little.
âI could tell it was you the entire day. Did you forget that I can sense auras? You have a blueish green aura around you.â
He completely forgot about that. The Death Surgeon who is notorious about planning and sticks with said plan, forgot about something that important. Law turned around and started to walk back to the Sunny.Â
âIâm going back to the shipâ was all he told her before walking away. She just continued laughing at his brooding self. He might as well be standing in the corner like a child getting scolded from doing something he wasnât supposed to be doing.
A/N: Let me know if the image isn't working. This will not follow the anime exactly as I donât remember much of it from when I first watched it and I'm only at Enies Lobby on my 2nd watch thru. Donât hate on me too much lol. Depends on how everyone likes this, I may make it a series but Iâm not too entirely sure just yet.Â
11 years in the pastâŚ
It was starting to get dark out, when Cora told Law that dinner was done. Law walks over to get the bowl from Corazon and sits down across on the other side of the fire. They ate in silence for a while before Cora tells Law something that makes his jaw drop to the ground.
âI have a daughter and wife you know,â Cora starts to tell Law while staring into the fire trying to correctly word the shocking news to Law.Â
Law looks at his father figure in shock. He did not expect this man to have a family.
âW-what? Why the hell am I just now hearing about this?â Law yells at Cora while moving to stand up.
Cora looks up at Law and stares him straight in the face, âCause my brother doesnât know. If he found out about them. They would be forced to join this family, and I donât want that.â
âDo not tell a soul about them to anyone. I donât want them to be targeted at all.â
Law stares at Cora in disbelief. He was shocked that he kept this a secret for so long.Â
âHow? Er, what are their names?â Law quietly asks while moving to sit closer to Cora to hear him better.
âWell, my wife is my age, and my daughter, Y/N, would be about 8 years old. They are my whole world. Which is why this may sound selfish and crazy but.â Cora starts to say but stops himself. How is he supposed to pass this onto Law? He has to ask a 12 year old to make sure nothing happens to his family, A family he is supposed to protect, that he canât do properly.
âIf anything ever happens to me, find my daughter. Protect her to the best of your ability. I know Iâm asking a lot but please.â Cora tells Law who is sitting there still in shock. Law shakes his head and agrees without hesitation.
âIâll do it. Iâll protect her with my life, If i live that longâ. Law declares to Corazon while moving to stand up again.
Cora looks at him with appreciation in his eyes. He hopes nothing ever happens but at least there is a backup plan. Cora just smiles at Law, before moving to stand up to start cleaning up after dinner. He lit a cigarette while watching Law just sitting at the fire. Before glancing at the white spots appearing around his face. That made him start frowning, Law didnât have much time left. They needed to find the devil fruit quickly, so nothing happened to him.
11 years laterâŚ
Law, now 24, leaned back on a chair with some of his crew around him while watching the auction. Seeing people betting on slaves disgusted him to his core. He saw Kidd looking at him so Law smirked and gave him the middle finger. He heard a noise only to see the Strawhat crew arguing with each other after crashing. Law sat up a little when he saw Luffy start running down the stairs with a fish-man and a girl with blonde hair running behind trying to catch him.Â
âLuffy youâve got to stop. We donât need any Marines coming here.â He heard the blonde girl say to him.Â
âSorry Y/N. But I canât let them get away with doing this to Camie.â Luffy told her while trying to pull out of Hatchanâs hold.Â
When Law heard that name he sat straight and looked right at Y/N. He could see the resemblance to Corazon.Â
Finally he thought. He was getting tired of searching every town for any rumor of her.
âY/N!â when she heard her captain say her name she glanced over to him only for him to be staring at Camie who was down front on the stage in a tank.Â
âDo it.â Was all she heard before she nodded at his request.
âSilence.â She said while snapping her fingers.Â
When law saw her use the devil fruit, he started chuckling to himself. He never would have thought that Coraâs daughter would eat the Calm-Calm fruit just like her father did. Law continued looking over her while Strawhat went down to do whatever he was going to do. His main focus now was getting her out of this Auction house and onto the Polar Tang. The only issue was that she belonged to another pirate crew which would complicate things but it wasnât anything he couldnât handle.Â
Luffy started to walk up the stairs towards the celestial dragon that was jumping around bragging about getting an octopus for free. That pissed Luffy off even more, he knew that the next step he did would be bringing a navy admiral to them but he didnât care about that right now. When he went to walk by Hatchan, who grabbed his arm and started to beg him to not do this, that he deserved this as a punishment for the crimes he committed as a pirate.
âThat's enough. Stop all that annoying talking you damn fish before I shut you up for good.â The celestial dragon yelled at Luffy and Hatchan while pointing his gun in their direction which caused Luffy to throw his arm in front of the octopus.Â
âHow dare you! Donât look at me like that.âÂ
At that remark, Luffy ripped his arm away from Hatchan and started up the stairs faster. Y/N stood near the area that Law was watching from. Law and Kidd who were watching near the exit were curious as to how Strawhat would be handling this. Law took this time to speak to Y/N without anyone else interfering since they were too busy watching Luffy to make sure he wouldnât get into too much trouble.
âHey. Y/N right?" Law asked her while adjusting his position to speak to her better.
At the sound of her name, she turned around to see a pirate with what looked like a polar bear sitting near her.
âDepends.â She responded back to him. She was curious about how this pirate knew her name. As far as she knew, she didnât have a bounty on her yet as she was extremely careful. She didnât need her infamous uncle finding out about her.
âSomeone who wants you to join my crewâ. Law told her while moving to stand up. He moved in front of her slightly to protect her from a celestial dragon that was getting a little too close for his comfort.
âI donât need your protection and I will not be joining your stupid crew,â she declared to him while lightly pushing him out of her way.
Law just stared at the back of her head, she didnât know but her response made him start grinning.Â
This is going to be interesting. I can tell she wonât make it easy for me, he thought to himself before clearing his throat to continue speaking.
âFrom what I can tell, you donât have any weapons on you which means you have no protection. So I think that qualifies me for protection. Besides, what kind of captain would I be if I didnât put my crew's safety first. Which leads me back to my question about me telling you to join my crew.âÂ
âFor the last time, I will never be joining your crew. Iâm perfectly happy being with Luffy. Weâve known each since his grandfather dropped him off in the mountains.â She told him while starting to walk away hoping to end his questioning. He started to follow her trying to finish the conversation she was clearly trying to get out of.
âStop trying to talk to me.â She angrily told him while jogging ahead to get to where her crew was waiting for her.
âYour father ate the Calm-Calm fruit just like you did.âÂ
That made her stop in her tracks. She could see the crew looking at her, hoping they wouldnât have to step in to help her. Zoro set one of his hands on his swords, he was ready to draw them if that pirate captain tried anything. He looked at Y/N like an annoying little sister, and he would be damned if he let anything happen to her.
âHow do you know about that?â She worriedly asked the captain who has yet to give her a name. Law just smirked at that, he finally had her attention. He walked closer to her to try and trick her into joining his crew. He knelt down next to her to whisper in her ear. That small motion broke the restraint Zoro had.
âJoin my crew and I will tell you all about himâ He whispered to her before quickly leaning back to a safe distance when the end of a sword came towards him. Law looked up only to see the bounty hunter turned pirate staring at him with a deadly look on his face. He smirked at Zoroâs face before deciding to stand down.
âShe will not be joining your crew.â Zoro darkly told him before moving his body in front of her to hide her from the pirate captain.Â
âThis isnât over Y/N. Youâll come crawling to me eventually when you want to know more about your background.â Law told her before following Kidd and Luffy down the corridor so they could all leave this auction house.
Zoro and Y/N just watched him walk down the corridor with the other 2 captains. He turned to Y/N to ask what that was all about only to see the scared look on her face.
âWhat was his deal?â Zoro asked her while sheathing his swords.
âI donât know. But he knew my name, my father and my devil fruit. No one besides the crew knows any of that information.â She shakingly told him while moving to lay her head on his chest. She was ready for this day to be over and to be back on the ship where she can hide out in her room.
Zoro didnât exactly know what to say. He was never good with any of the mushy, emotional stuff. That was more for Nami and Robin to handle, not him. He just awkwardly patted her back, hoping she would let go soon.Â
Once she let go and took a step back, did she realize the crew was all looking at her.
âWe need to go help Luffy.â She quietly told them while making her way towards the corridor where she could hear the 3 captains fighting.
Everyone just looked at each other, then back at her walking. They all had a feeling that the Hearts Captain wouldnât stop here. Law seemed extremely determined to have her in his crew. No matter what happened, they needed to be prepared with some sort of plan for their next encounter.

A/N: It's a little bit short, but I haven't had much time to do anything since my 3 year old has a ruptured eardrum, so I've been busy dealing with that. I am in the process of coming out with another Law One shot. I'm still planning it out but hopefully I'll have it out soon.
#1: This boy will wake you up in the middle of the night just for you to make him something to eat. He knows Sanji wouldnât get mad if you were in his kitchen for a midnight snack.
âHey wake upâ was all you hear in your sleep.
You crack your eyes a little only to see a blurry version of your stretchy, immature husband leaning over you with a giant smile on his face.Â
âWhat do you want?â you asked him before tiredly glancing over to the window to see the moon and stars still out.
âItâs the middle of the night Luffy. Go back to sleepâ You sleepily told him while fighting to keep your eyes opened. Luffy just shook you again to get your attention back on him. He just started pulling your hand to try and get you to sit up and wake up more.Â
âIâm hungryyyy Y/N-nie, feed me pleaseâ, Luffy tells you while still attempting to pull you up.
âSanji wonât like it with us in the kitchen, especially you. Do I need to remind you of the rat trap he had set a while ago?â You replied back to him while sitting up. He finally had you awake. Now he just had to get you up and into the kitchen before his stomach ate itself.
âI donât remember that. But thatâs besides the point. Sanji wonât get mad at you. If anything he would just tell you to come wake him up next timeâ, he begrudgingly told you while getting off the bed him and you shared.
You just look at him and let out a small sigh. He started jumping up and down when he saw you shake your head to his request.
âLetâs go, letâs go.â He quickly told you while dragging you out of the room and into the kitchen.
After moving around the kitchen for a little bit, you finally had a simple meal made for your food obsessed boyfriend. You set it down in front of him and he started to immediately dig in before stopping and quickly opened his mouth and started to fan it to try and get the burn to stop.
âYou absolute dumbass! I just finished making it so of course it would still be extremely hot.â You yell at him while pulling a move out of Namiâs book and knocking him upside his head. Hard enough to have a bump appear from the hit.
âOw, ow, ow.â He yelled while grabbing his head and rolling around on the floor from the pain. After he settled down to start eating his food again, you poured yourself a cup of herbal tea to try and get yourself sleepy again.Â
âAh. That was really good Y/N-nie. I miss when you used to cook for us before Sanji joined. You should cook for me every nightâ he tells you before letting out a big burp.Â
You just stare at him in disbelief of what he said. You were not doing this for him every night no matter what he said or who he was to you. Getting a full night of sleep was extremely important for you since you needed to keep yourself sharp and awake so you could take down enemies with your bow and arrows.
âLIKE HELL THAT WILL HAPPEN.â You shriek at him before moving to hit him again only for him to predict your next move and dodge before your fist hit him. One thing Nami and you had in common was how you both reacted to stuff. You would punch or hit anyone who pissed the 2 of you off.
âIs your stomach satisfied yet? I wanna go back to sleep now.â You sleepily tell him while trying to keep your head up from falling onto the table. He just stares at you for a second before grabbing your cup, and his plate to throw them into the sink to have Sanji deal with them in the morning.
Luffy walks around the table where you were now laying your head on your arms with your eyes closed. He picks you up bridal style only for you to snuggle into his arms and rest your head on his chest where his heart is at. The beat of the organ was luring you deeper into sleep.Â
âLetâs go to bed nowâ he quietly tells you before starting to walk out of the kitchen to go back to the room to lay down for the rest of the night.Â
#2: He will drag you against your will onto an island to go explore for some food.
âCome on Y/N-nie, letâs go exploringâ Luffy excitedly tells you before picking you and throwing you over his shoulder since you weren't moving fast enough for him.
âHang on Luffy. We need to see if Nami needs anything from us before we abandon the crew.â You quickly tell him before wiggling for him to put you down.Â
âIâm the captain so I can decide what we do. And I say you and I go explore and let everyone else do all the boring stuffâ Was all you heard before he jumped off the ship and onto the dock.Â
âLUFFY!!!â You scream while holding onto him trying to not fall. He had an extra tight grip on you. To Luffy, you were his most important treasure and he wouldnât let you fall or for anything to happen to you.Â
All he does is laugh before setting you down on the dock, and ducking to dodge your fist. Once you calmed down, he grabbed your hand and started to pull you over to the closest restaurant to eat.Â
âYouâre hungry again?!?â You ask him in disbelief. Everyone had eaten breakfast maybe an hour ago before you docked. There was no way he could be hungry again. He ate 10 times the amount everybody else ate.
âIâm always hungry. Food is fuelâ he tells you before grabbing your hand to pull you into a restaurant that smelt so good it had him practically drooling.
#3: Luffy is the protective type. Sure he is protective over the entire crew, but you have a different type of protectiveness from him.
The entire crew was under attack from the Marines. You were taking on a man that was twice your size and the fight wasnât going in your favor. The Marine knocked you to the ground, so hard you blacked out for a few minutes and couldnât move. You were able to yell out one word and that 1 word unleashed absolute hell.
âLUFFY!!!â Was all you were able to scream out before you passed out from the beating that you just had.Â
He heard you yell his name across the field and quickly looked away from the enemy he was fighting. Only to see you on the ground, not moving with a marine standing above you with a sword ready to end your life. His heart immediately sank at the sight before ditching his enemy and running straight to your side taking out anyone standing between him and you.
âY/Nâ he yelled out before snatching a pipe from off the ground and using it to block the hit from the sword that was directed at you. His sudden movement threw the marine off and made him fall back to a safe distance. Luffy threw the pipe to the side, and started cracking his knuckles to beat this marines ass for hurting you.
âYou bastard! How dare you lay a hand on herâ Luffy roared out before dashing forward to beat the marines ass. His remark got the attention of Chopper and Zoro, both of them ran over to your still form. One to assess your condition and the other to protect. Zoro would be damned if he let anyone lay a hand on his captains First Lady. Zoro had both swords in his hands, ready to attack anything that moved towards you.
âChopper, how is she?â Zoro asked while keeping an eye on the surroundings.Â
Chopper hesitated for a quick moment before turning to tell Zoro how you were doing.
âSheâs hurt really badly. A couple of ribs have been broken, her head has a major gash that needs to be stitched up immediately but I donât have the necessary materials on me and her knee has been shattered. She will be out of commission for a couple of months.â Chopper sadly told Zoro who instantly knew that Luffy would not be happy at all.Â
Once the battle was over, Luffy came barreling thru everyone to get back to you.
âChopper! How is sheâ He asks the reindeer while trying to catch his breath from the intense fight. Chopper looks at him sadly before taking him a deep breath and telliing him everything he told Zoro a bit ago. When Luffy heard the diagnosis, all he could see was Ace again. He quickly shook his head to get that out of his mind. You needed help immediately, he had no time to delve on the past.
Luffy heard someoneâs foot steps before immediately turning around, ready to fight any one who tried to come near. He saw the footsteps belonged to a tired looking Law.Â
âStrawhat, I can fix her quicker than the Deer can.â Was all he told Luffy who was reluctant to allow him near you no matter the alliance they had.
Law could sense Luffy hesitation before releasing a breath.
âI never do this but you can stay next to her the entire time while I work. That way you can keep an eye on the both of us.â Law stated to the Strawhat captain who shook his head up and down in an agreement.
âZoro.â Luffy spoke true swordsmen who nodded in agreement at the look in his captains eye. Zoro didnât need any more information. He knew what his captain wanted just by saying his name. Luffy wanted him to stand guard at the door like a sentry to make sure no trouble came around.Â
âYou donât even have to ask. I was going to anyway.â Was all Zoro told his captain.Â
Luffy looked back towards your unconscious body and quietly vowed to himself to not let any one do this to you ever again. He wouldnât be able to handle it. The last thing he wanted was to be King of the Pirates without his Queen next to him.
Summary: Telling Law that the 2 of you will be expanding your family.
Word count: 1k
A/N: This one is shorter than the previous one, I just couldn't get this one out of my head. My son and husband were both sleeping at 8:30pm so I had a good bit of quiet, alone time to crank out a one shot. If there are any mistakes or if I could do something better, please don't be afraid to let me know in private or in the comments or however it works. If there are any request that y'all want me to do, please let me know. If you do send a request please try to have as much information as possible.
A/N.2: I also did this while watching the documentary : The Crash on Netflix. If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend it. For me it hit a little hit too close to home cause something similar happened back in 2019 when I was almost 21, so it's a bit of a tear jerker in my opinion.
âYou got a minute?â Y/N quietly asked Law thru his office door where she was gently knocking on it to get his attention.
âCome in.â Was all she heard before she slowly opened up the office door. Law glanced up from where he was writing stuff down from the previous island. Y/N slowly sat down in the chair that was in front of his desk, before leaning back and wrapping her around her mid section. He raised an eyebrow at how skittish she was being.
âIs everything okay?â He asked her while setting his pen down to give her his full attention.
She looked at him with tears in her eyes, which made him sit up real quick at the site of his girlfriend tearing up. Y/N covered her mouth with her hand, to try and muffle the sobs that were threatening to come out.
âWhatâs wrong? Why are you crying?â He quickly asked her while pushing his chair back and standing up from his desk before kneeling down in front of her. He took her hand and gently pulled it away from her mouth so she could speak clearly to him.Â
Law gave her a moment to catch her breath and to get her thoughts all in order. He was patiently waiting while rubbing his hand up and down her back slowly to help regulate her breathing.
âUm.â She started to say before she coughed to clear her throat.
âBack on the island we were just on, I wasnât feeling very good so I went for a walk to breath in fresh air to see if that would help me out. As I was walking thru the town, I came across a doctor at one of the medicinal stalls I was looking at. I told her my symptoms and she took me to her office where she had me walk through my symptoms and how long they were going on.â She quietly told him while wiping her nose with a tissue.
He didnât interrupt her at any time during her story. He had a feeling about what the doctor had told her but he needed her to tell him on her own before he could do a scan to confirm it was true.
âShe did some blood tests, which confirmed what she suspected.âÂ
Law held his breath, this was it, the news he was absolutely dreading.
âShe confirmed that I am pregnant.â She told him while glancing down at her lap. She was too afraid to look at his reaction. Y/N could tell he wouldnât be too happy with the news. He was too revenge driven to even think about starting a family with her.
After sitting in silence for a few minutes, she glanced up at him only to see his head tilted down. His hat was blocking his face so she couldnât determine what his expressions were. Law was staring wide eyed at the floor at what she just revealed. He never even thought that this could happen. He wasnât ready to have a kid, he needed to follow through with his plan.
âLaw, are you okay?â Y/N whispered to him. She was too nervous to talk to him in her regular voice.
When he didnât respond, she just nodded her head, and pulled her hand out of his hold and slowly stood up to leave. His silence was her answer. She would be raising this kid all on her own.
âNext island we come to, Iâll be leaving the crew. I wonât raise this child with a father who doesn't wanna be in their life.â She boldly told him before turning to start heading to the door. As soon as she set her hand on the door, she heard a weak âwaitâ.Â
Y/N slowly breathed in before turning around to face Law. She saw that he was now standing and was walking up to her. He looked up from the floor, and looked her in the eyes. His own eyes were red from him silently crying.
âYou arenât leaving the crew. I wonât let you.â He told her while moving to stand in front of the door to block it from her leaving.
âMarry me.âÂ
She quickly looked up at him, fully expecting this to be a cruel joke. What she only saw was seriousness, there was no sign of him joking. He was fully 100% serious.
âWhat?â She breathed out.Â
âI want to be in our childâs life. I want to get to know them. I want to show them the world. I want you in my life. I donât see a future unless you are in it. So, marry me.â Law told her while moving to set his hands on her shoulders. He looked her in the eyes, before he asked her one more time.
âPlease, marry me.â
She stared at him in disbelief at the amount of emotion he was showing. Y/N just swallowed her nerves before quickly nodding her head at the question. Law saw the nod, and he felt his entire body relax that she agreed. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her in for a hug.Â
They stood there hugging for what seemed like hours when in reality it was for a few minutes. Law felt her start to pull back from the hug. He glanced down at her only to see her smiling a big bright smile at him.
âNow how about that scan I know you are dying to do?â She tells him, before starting to pull him away from the door to walk down the hall to the med bay. He just quietly chuckled at her. She knew him a little bit too well.
âYou read my mind.â Was all he told her before holding the med bay door open for her to walk through first. She just laughed at his response before ducking underneath his arm to walk in. Once she was safely through the door, he walked in behind and let the door shut behind him.
