I would always seen Renell on my instagram and  stop to look a bit longer. It was not until recently following her recognition from her solo show Peluca, featuring images form her cover story in Office Magazine, that I really made a point to acknowledge her in the recognition she deserves. Other being a fantastic photographer she also has a keen eye for directing, she has vision that makes the mundane, theatrical .

Caterina was an early design influence for me. I remember starting my design career in school we were asked to name our favorite designers I was embarressed how little I had to stay. I have learned that influences can only strengthen your work. It is crucial to pay your respect and acknowledge what you have taken away from their work. Being able to name off your inspirations solidifies your dedication to your work practice.  

Braulio has always been one of my favorite designers. I first discovered him when I was in my sophomore year at Pratt Institute. He came to our school to give a presentation on his work, and it absolutely rocked my world. I saw design in a new light, but also one that was familiar to me. The way he created so expressively resonated to my own practice, I had never seen someone approach design in a similar fashion.
