i can die happy the day i see a marina ida and medkit interaction. think about it. their parallels??? THEIR PARALLELS??

they both:

were born into extremely military-driven communities (idk how to explain it BUT)

⤷ both extremely high tech

⤷ lack of seeing the sky and sunlight one way or another

⤷ in a constant state of battle for whatever reason (playground, the inklings)

both fled home for better or for worst

both have a pink counterpart, almost "soulmate" like for better or for worst

both are frickin' PRODIGIES. insanely smart in both their own right.

they both wish for stability in their lives. (medkit can't imagine life not on the run, and marina before side order had a violent fear is change)

AND GUESS WHAT. They both have similar backgrounds but their paths go COMPLETELY opposite.

Marina led the Octarian Army in search of more, for her own freedom, for her own happiness.

Medkit fled from Blackrock out of fear of survival and pure fear.

Marina met Pearl, who is now the light if her life, the one who introduced her to inkling society and is her rock. Changed her life forever.

Medkit met Subspace, who was the REASON he fled Blackrock, and the one who sent him on the run and objectively changed his life for the worst.

Marina is optimistic towards the future.

Medkit is worried about the future. Rightfully so.
