Harley is my partner because I assumed I'd "Fix" his trauma, that is simply impossible. So I wanted to curate a way to maybe sit with it and learn, you taught me that. Like our adoptive parents, I believe this place was potentially a set up for fate. Maybe it was fate that led to me becoming the way I am.

The worker walks in a room, pushing the door aside to then place a tape in the slot, they breathe out, exasperation coursing through the body. Even if the worker slept for a minute, there wouldn't be any good progress to make, so why did they feel so wrong? That clutch in the chest, churn in the stomach, or maybe it was the overwhelming to know everyone they cared for was gone. No trace, besides the smell of gore, the nauseating remains that almost made the worker throw up many times before they met you.

Finally when the tape played, midst their reminiscing they hear two voices. "I don't understand why you keep being so difficult!"

"They're children Harley! Don't bring in the parents! Leith is going to get you killed."

"Right, as if you didn't want to kill me first."

The tape goes silent, "Stella, did you really think killing me would bring your sibling back to you? My partner, your family. Of course: Those flowers you both cater to, it amuses me how simple your actions are yet deeply complex enough to curate such a strong message." The sound of the tile floor with paper on the table makes the worker tilt their head, until the paper slams down. They hold their breath with a subtle shift in the air.

"If you kill me, how do you think they will react? My love for them out ranks their bond with family, especially when they strongly believe I'm capable of change.." Stella's shaky breath during the close confrontation made Harley let out a mocking chuckle, even when she wishes to be brave, it was a false confidence, easy to break when she had no one to fall back to.

"I-I'll tell Leith! I'll tell him to make you stop, just…please, stop hurting my friend. Every since the.."

"The loss of our child!? Is that all you both water them down to be!? Let me make this clear for you Greyber: I know them, more than you ever will. Mz, is the perfect result to my work. I didn't even need to make them bend to my will…." His voice falters with a weak laugh, a choked sob following after.

"They loved me, for what they saw and what I could be successfully….Even after everything." Stella doesn't speak further but she does say something that stuck out to the worker.

"….I pity you Sawyer…I get why they love you, but I'll never get why they wasted their being on you." The door shuts, Harley didn't make any noise, except for when a loud crash emits in the tape. The player watches the TV cut off, then looks at you. Your gaze was very curious, not angry, sullen, or even hopeful, your observing eyes didn't hold the intent to care for their reactions.

Note to you

Time will tell, time moves on, the best you can do is be patient with yourself. Sometimes you want to give life a chance when you feel hopeless, but have you ever given yourself a chance? Most people will tell you to not give up, and frankly, there is nothing wrong with giving up. But there is one last request I have for you, can you give me one more day?

The question stems from a deep desire to keep going, it was definite that the owner of the note correlated to someone who gave up, it wasn't the time to give up yet. Not when those kids need help, the worker left after putting the note down, they meet with Poppy and kneel to her level, she notes their tired demeanor and hesitates at first but then spoke calmly, an assuring tone following. "Listen, you're doing your best and that is all we can ask for. But you need rest, Mz will watch over us all while we wait but whatever you do. Please tell me, I want to escape too but you're as fragile as everyone else."

She leaves to go rest with Kissy, they stand there then turn towards you. Moving over slowly then laid beside you, "Rest well…I believe you read my note?"

You: *sniffling*

Harlequin: They’re crying? Whats wrong sweet thing? Did somebody hurt you?

You: *tearing up more*

Harlequin: Oh damn Pierrot is gonna fuck me up-

Pierrot: *shoves him* My dear whats wrong? Did that green moss hurt you? Shhhhh

You: *sniffling* I….I didn’t do anything productive!!! *ugly cry*
