I returned to Yosemite National Park during the Super Harvest Moon of October 2025, hoping the moonlight would illuminate El Capitan, Half Dome, and the other legendary granite giants — bright enough for great night sky timelapses, but not so bright it blew out the stars. Ten years ago, I drove through Yosemite on my way to another shoot and always regretted not staying to capture its magic after dark. This film is my way of finally doing it justice.

This video is dedicated to the memory of Balin Miller, a young climber who tragically passed away on El Capitan just days before our arrival. His spirit of adventure continues to inspire.

Back to Japan for another epic timelapse adventure! Shot in Shibuya, Tokyo and Yokohama, March 2024. Canon 6D. Lenses Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L, Rokinon 12mm f2.8, Canon EF 24-105mm. The street light painting or "street stacking" effect was done with long exposure images stacked using StarStax, a program I usually use to create star trail images for night sky work for SkyglowProject.com.

The dog statue at 1:35 is the mighty Hachiko; a local legend in Shibuya Square who used to meet his owner at the station every day after work, then continued to go every day for nine years after his owner died in 1925.

And the giant robot at 2:06 is a 60 foot tall, 55,000 pound recreation of the RX-78-2 Gundam, the hero mech of the original Mobile Suit Gundam series. According to the Guiness Book of World Records, it's the largest mobile Humanoid Robot in the world and the the largest mobile Gundam.

A series of day and night timelapses captured in the historic area of Montmartre, Paris in November 2023, with a few shots in and around Amsterdam Central Train Station. Shot with a Canon 6D, and a wide Rokinon 12mm f2.8 lens. Ultralight SIRUI Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod. The music is sung by my incredible talented wife Briana Nadeau.

DREAMLAPSE JAPAN is the product of a grueling but thrilling timelapse expedition through the streets of Japan in the days immediately following landfall of Typhoon Lan in August 2023. Hopefully this short captures a fraction of the intense beauty of these cities. Check it out in 4k and listen with headphones for the full experience! :)

Shot in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto with a Canon 6D, lenses Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L and Rokinon 12mm f2.8. Since it was super hot and we were trekking around a lot, I used an ultralight SIRUI Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod, which I was really happy with. The street light painting effect was done with long exposure images stacked using StarStax, an awesome program I usually use to create star trail images for night sky work for SkyglowProject.com. It really helped capture the surreal overwhelming feeling of the city streets at night. I don't know if there's a name for it already but I've been calling it "street stacking" ;)
