I felt it would be better to tell you this myself rather than have you hear it through the news, so I decided to write this post. I never imagined I’d be the one to share this news. Yes! I’m enlisting on July 21st. Until I found out the exact date, I’d been thinking, “Well, it’s no big deal. I’m just going,” but now that I actually have the date, I’ve found myself thinking a lot for the first time in a while. I also agonized over how to break this news to you all first. As I write this down, word by word, I feel like my heart is getting a little lighter. I’ll do my best to stay healthy and be true to myself while I’m away.
