I mourn the teen years when I was recovering from spinal fusion surgery right before starting high school, and trying to navigate high school and the beginning of my chronic pain

I mourn my 20’s when the after effects of the surgery were affecting my day to day life so much I couldn’t keep a job but my doctor said “there are people worse off than you” and refused to help me

I mourn my 30’s diagnosed with severe chronic pain that never lets up and having other body parts start to break down.

I updated my “scoliosis is metal” work by changing the font and moving the text below the rods. I like it much more now
