it's a cruel summer

So, um, I may have slacked on sprucing up my office before school started this year. Oops? But it’s not too late and I feel like I should add something new still. I was thinking of maybe putting some inspirational quotes on my walls. Good idea or no? And if I do, do you think I should go just posters or maybe try and get them framed?

I personally think you can never have too many inspirational quotes! Kids may find them cheesy - and your peers even more so - but it’s so easy to let negativity slip into one’s mind, especially at such a young and impressionable age. Surrounding them with positive thoughts is always a good plan; you never know when those words may pop back in their brain when they need them most, just because they were surrounded them. I say just posted, though; more budget effective, which means you can get even more quotes and pump even more positive energy into your class.

Summer: I have a tab of a google image search of onion rings open and it is making me so happy.

Summer: I know how much you and Casper like chaos, I wouldn't let the party go without some harmless fun.

Charlie: Oh, they actually have like forms to fill out for classroom experience and stuff! It wouldn't just be me creepily showing up to stand around. Sorry, I should have been super clear on that!!! But babysitting would definitely work too.

Jason: ugh I guess that's true. Because when I get back I get to catch up on all the pranks and stuff we didn't get to pull!! it's always so fun when I get to pull them off with my mom.

Autumn: Who's laughing at somebody for farting? We all fart! I laugh because the noise is hilarious. When it happens at the gym it always lightens the mood!

Felix: Okay but why does this whole conversation make me want to do a Chipmunks/Chipettes group Halloween costume this year?

They all have something different and great to offer, even if they don’t see it themselves yet. Some are kind, some are fearless, some are creative, some are going to change the world. It’s an honor and a privilege to get to know each and every single one of them, and to be able to help them learn and grow.

I think that ignoring all of @felixstabby‘s wonderful qualities to write him off as just some former fuckboi is insulting.

I obviously really like taking care of children... but given that that’s also my chosen career path, I don’t want to have a huge family of my own. Not that I’d ever consider them work, because I’d love them with my whole heart, but well... if I spend all day in a classroom, having just one or two at home seems like a good plan.

Obviously not the ideal way to solve your problems, but if it does end up happening, I think the important thing to remember is that there’s something else going on in your life that drove you to that as the answer. Instead of loathing yourself for what you’ve done, try to take a deeper look at the reason why it happened so you can find a better path forward. 

Felix: Awwwww babe, do you like the Chipmunks because they make you think of you and your sisters? Also, are you Alvin? Because I don't think I could handle if I was dating a Chipmunk and it wasn't him... which is not a sentence I ever thought I'd type.
