the realization of how many men would be this selfish. seeing a woman they have been friends with for years and supposedly have had feelings for... for years. they know this isn't how she is. but they don't care. they just want to possess the woman of their dreams so much, so much that they don't care for her consent.

bear didn't care that she begged to be killed because of what wish nikki was doing, what was happening to her body and life without her consent. he just wanted to be with her. and he didn't care what it meant. he literally thought having stern conversations about her crazy behavior would make it stop. he literally just kept dealing with everything because of a fantasy in his head

he literally had sex with her knowing none of it was real. he did everything he could with her and to her knowing she wouldn't want it. she never wanted it. but he did. that's all that mattered to him.

ian even tried to tell him that what he was doing was wrong because it was. he was taking advantage of her. but when you think about it he could have just been saying that out of jealousy, which is another trope about men pretending to care about a woman because in reality they wanna possess her instead.
