Okay, so I’m looking for a little insight here. I recently ordered CBD oil off endoca and they sent me CBD lip balm along with it. for a while I always avoided lip balm because of beeswax and what not, but on the back it stated this product was vegan... So I tried it out. After looking over it again, I saw that it still contained beeswax and organic honey flavor (idk if that’s actually honey?)... So, this kind of bothered me a little bit. Now, I know there is such thing as vegan beeswax and honey made artificially, but that’s usually specified. It’s also stated that ingredients are ‘ethically sourced’. Anyway, a few questions came to mind.

1. Do other countries have a different definition of vegan? And does that mean I should double check items even when stated they are vegan?

2. If this turns out to be actual beeswax but considered ‘ethical’, is it truly that bad?

I understand that in a lot of farms (at least with commercial products) many bees die because the honey extracted from the colonies is replaced with a cheap substitute along with other reasons... But from my understanding bees are kept well in local farms. At least that’s what I’ve been told by the ones by me. What ever the case m

Now, I’m not really trying to look for an excuse to use honey/beeswax because I believe it’s exploitation... Mainly posted this because I’m curious as to what other people think about this topic. I’ll be investigating this product more to see if it is artificial beeswax... In the meantime, drop some knowledge on me!
