Catching Sparks.

I have been faced with some incredible hardships these past couple of years... I was in a(n abusive) relationship that made me an empty shell of who I thought I was. Even who I was wasn't who I am or will be, but I digress. He made me believe I was a worthless ugly person and everything bad that happened to him, myself, in the world, was my fault. And the sad truth is that I believed him. Having someone you love so much that you bend and break to ensure their happiness who doesn't appreciate or respect you is one of the worst things that can happen to someone. He betrayed me and broke me by not choosing me, cheating on me, and leaving me in the mess he created. In this same time period, I had lost every friend I made here, lost my job, lost my home. Don't feel sorry for me, or pity me (if you're actually reading this) because it changed me; it hardened me, yes, but it softened me too. I choose to be happy. I choose to live a life I'm content with. I choose me (whoever that is.) I dropped out of school this year to do just that...find who I REALLY am and find out what makes me happy. Things still aren't going the way I hoped they would, but regardless I choose to be happy. I believe in due time life will disclose the plans in works, but I will never give up choosing to be happy. If you're not happy, then what's the point?
