The viewer has a concrete view of what they expect a story to be based on the tropes and cliches they're used to seeing together, and when that doesn't happen, they judge it as a failed depiction of what they assumed it was going to be instead of judging it as what it actually is.

This course is designed for maintenance, reliability, condition monitoring, mechanical, lubrication, and rotating equipment professionals who want to build a strong foundation in world-class lubrication practices.

This training will help participants understand lubrication from a practical reliability perspective, including lubricant selection, contamination control, oil analysis basics, grease lubrication, storage and handling, sampling, filtration, and best practices for improving machine life.

The objective of this course is not only to deliver training, but to create a structured knowledge-sharing platform where participants can gain practical, field-based understanding of lubrication principles and their direct impact on equipment reliability, machine life, maintenance cost, contamination control, and failure prevention.

The course will focus on the essential technical foundations of machinery lubrication, including:

Lubricant fundamentals and lubricant functions

Viscosity, base oils, additives, and lubricant selection

Grease lubrication principles and applications

Lubrication best practices for rotating and industrial equipment

Contamination control and cleanliness management

Lubricant storage, handling, and dispensing practices

Oil sampling and basic oil analysis concepts

Lubrication-related failure modes and prevention methods

Practical reliability improvement through better lubrication practices

Preparation support for ICML-related certification exams

The training is planned over 4 months, with one Saturday session each month, allowing participants to study, review, ask questions, and apply the learning between sessions.

But as a result of this they are advertising a lot more in my area and also in many cases, the people in these areas have never been confronted with Aldi or any European grocery store. So the ads that Aldi is pushing out to its new US customer base feature a cowboy shopping at Aldi who is explaining to new Aldi customers how Aldi works. Like this cowboy is explaining you gotta put a quarter in the shopping cart and why there are very little name brands. A cowboy is how they want to reach their American customer base.
