It wasn’t easy to get along with Ji Bozai.

I knew he had built walls around himself, but could never see what he was hiding.

Under his guidance, I slowly came to see his true colors — to feel his persistence and purity, to fall with him, to collapse and rebuild alongside him.

He has a kind of love that is utterly pure.

The carefree mask he wears before others serves as the perfect disguise — a shield for a heart too sincere for the world.

At first, he didn’t intend to be part of this “game.”

He merely went along with the act, taking in a little fairy by chance.

But as Mingyi continued to help him with genuine kindness again and again, Ji Bozai unknowingly fell deeper, until he became a true player in the story.

Yes — he was the first to fall in love.

He felt that Mingyi’s mischief carried a sincerity that quietly filled the void inside him.

Falling in love became only natural.

He believed that Mingyi’s repeated sacrifices for him were driven by a heart not yet spoken aloud.

He willingly gave his heart to her early on — that wedding was the very definition of love.

After escaping the dark abyss, Ji Bozai wanted more than anyone to experience all the beauty of the world — even if it meant fighting to hold on to the first person he had ever loved.

Years later, when he once again offered up his pure heart, the one he cherished scattered it into nothing.

Shock mixed with disappointment — in that moment, he couldn’t tell whether it was all a misunderstanding or a betrayal.

So he spoke with both love and hate, his emotions blending into a storm of colors like a dye vat.

But in the end, it was “willingness” that absorbed every hue, returning everything to its original form — because his love had always contained forgiveness.

Ji Bozai, who was reborn through death, distilled his emotions into their purest form.

He was sincere in love — once he confirmed the other’s heart, he opened himself completely, unwavering even when proven wrong.

For him, weighing gains and losses was bothersome — rather than overthinking what giving away the Dream of Yellow Millet might bring, he simply chose to act.

If Mingyi could live because of it, that was enough. Nothing more.

Such pure, steadfast love — asking for nothing in return — is truly admirable.

At certain moments, one can’t help but think Ji Bozai was “lucky”:

his first love was the right one — they supported each other, stood side by side, and cared nothing for the opinions of the world.

If it felt right, then it was right. So very, very right.

As I temporarily part ways with Qingyun, I still carry some lingering feelings.

Thank you all for sincerely loving this drama and for sharing so many of your thoughts while watching it.

I’ve read many of your discussions, and it feels like Ji Bozai has once again been truly understood by everyone.
