I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

I don't understand how people deal with glasses. I tried. I genuinely tried. And even after two months I still feel like

How I'm supposed to walk with them? How do you do stuff while something is touching your nose? I constantly see them! I don't want to see them, it's so anoying! They get dirty and foggy and they just get in the way so, so much. I can't concentrate. Wearing glasses is a full time job. I'm not a person with them, I'm a person+glasses.

When I was younger, I just didn't see all that great, but it was fine. Now it got worse, and I get stabbing pain in my eye and constant headaches. I did not wan't contact lenses, because you have to buy new ones all the time, so it gets expensive, creates waste and you have to put that stuff on the eye. Brrr!

But now... well, I got some. I also got a package of +0,25 dioptre of seriously discounted lenses to learn how to deal with them. Like, if I know I'm going to mangle some, I might as well mangle something cheap. Learning to put those sleazy little bastards on my eyeballs certainly is a process.

I finally managed one. It's kind of funny. I did not expect my brain to just go "Acceptable." and turn off the pain. I do not see better. It's too weak, but somehow I'm sitting here with that weak lense in just one eye and... it's like magic. I feel normal. Yeah wish me luck, I will have to take it out and try again tomorrow.

So, euphorbia umbellata... she's racing to the ceiling again. And she will be there first, as she always is. This plant runs circles around everyone else. Well, the spotted croton is not giving her anything for free, he's bigger, but he's not interested in the ceiling.

He is interested in fighting Stabby, though. Look at the clash of the titans. (The croton will win, he's like... 1000% stronger than stabbster, there is no contest, but we can prettend for the moment.)

Good old StabMaster 3000, still not at 100%, but no longer bald.

The newest plant child :D

Meet Sahara!! Somebody abandoned her where I work and hasn’t come back to claim her in about a week, so I took her home. I’m pretty sure she’s a silver cluster cactus, but if there are any cacti experts out there who want to correct me, please do!

I still need to chance her soil, I don’t think it’s the right mix- it probably retains too much water- and I want to make a her sign that has both “I was last watered on _ _ _” and “It has been _ _ days since I stabbed somebody :)”

But alway!! I has new child :3

Update!! Ran into a friend with the same kind of cactus as Sahara, turns out she’s an Easter Lily Cactus!

How! How can someone look at a cactus and know what it is! :-D. That's magic. But seriously, it's interesting how same and different those babies are. How my baby is much less spiny, you can see the green, and those spines are kind of... softer. Well, "softer", they are pretty dangerous, but clearly your baby does 2 HP damage while mine only does 1.

She's doing something. Don't ask me what it is.
