'Letting go'

No challenge has been greater in this life so far than the need to let go

I'm someone who holds on so tightly

I think it's because of the sense of scarcity I learned from early on in life.

Letting go is necessary for freedom, growth, and change. You can try to hold on, but eventually inertia will tear it out of your hands whether you're ready for it, or not.

It's painful, but it's also the conduit for peace.

As a painter, letting go is a constant practice. Every brush stroke requires letting go of what the painting could have been prior to that new addition, in order to enable what the painting will be.

I'm such a sentimental person. It truly doesn't matter how many years past, if I've held love for someone at some point in time, I will always hold that love. I will wonder about them, I will feel the care I had for them in years past, and my heart will ache over the connections' end

The first photo is from 4 years ago, before I ever went into PT or started weight training. It was a few months after a car accident, and I was doing chiro and massages regularly with little relief. The marks are from cupping.

The left photo on the next set down is from a year ago, after being in PT for over a year and beginning to regularly weight training, as well climbing for over a year.
