He shows up at Visions Academy, steals a uniform and immediately begins arguing with teachers about the classist nature of private education and the voucher system, but he's so smart and well read that no one ever figures out he's technically not enrolled at the Academy. Meanwhile Miles immediately starts crushing on this cool punk rock rebel who defies expectations but can't work up the courage to go up and say high.

this is SO REAL! it confuses miles to no end how hobie managed to win his parents over. jeff absolutely understands hobie’s pov, and respects him a whole lot. rio likes how ambitious hobie is, no matter what; she thinks a guy like hobie is great for miles. and plus the boy is smart, jeff and rio approve ofc

(though his appearance damn near gave the two a heart attack, they realized their son was in good hands.)

though miles loves the fact that his parents don’t straight up hate one of his friends (though hobie was someone a bit more than just his friend) god, it’s getting a bit much. somehow his parents manage to bring up hobie in conversations that don’t even revolve around him.

jeff, to miles: “there’s a new restaurant opening up soon, close to your school. speaking of school, does hobie go to your school?”

and of course, miles has to let hobie know. hobie just laughs, though he’s genuinely surprised miles’ parents actually like him. he’d assume after what went down with gwen, they’d glare daggers at him whenever he comes around.

miles: “i don’t know what you did, but my parents absolutely love you, man!”

And I can totally imagine Takako being an ojou-chan!! The first time I learned her name, I instantly remembered Fujiwara no Takaiko (whom I first learned of from Chouyaku Hyakuninisshu: Uta Koi), she was an empress and the mother of emperor Youzei. I think she can easily pass as Takako’s great ancestor. Can you see the royal genes???

Tetsu and Jun were on their way looking for Takako, when they saw her being harassed by some members of the opposing team they just played. “Come on, why don’t you be manager for us sweetheart,” one said sliding their arm around her shoulder. “No thank you, I’m just fine where I am,” she said pulling their arm off of her shoulder. “Hey Takako! Are these guys giving you trouble?” Jun said first coming up beside her and pushing her behind him. “Yes, are they?” Tetsu said also with his aura burning. “I’m fine, their just being a bit of a hassle,” she said standing behind both of them now. “You sure, cause we can give them a taste of what Seido has to offer,” Jun said getting up into one of the players face forcing them to move back slightly. “No, stop, lets just go back to the school,” she said pulling them both away from the opposing players and began walking back to the bus. “Are you sure you’re alright?” Tetsu asked stepping infront of her to make sure she wasn’t injured. “Yes, I’m sure I was just a little frightened was all, but thank you both, if you hadn’t stepped in when you did, it could’ve gotten bad.” She said blushing. “Don’t worry! As long as you’ve got us, you’ve got nothing to worry about!” Jun said looking back at her. Takako and the two boys walked back to the bus, not uttering a word about what had happened.
