He was a man that transcended rigid ideas of gender and sexuality in a country where you can make or break a career for not following itās strict rules on masculinity. He embraced femininity on stage paving the way for artists everywhere to be themselves all while writing song after song that have been passed down from generation to generation. Almost from the start of his career speculation about his sexuality followed him everywhere. He refused to give into the mediaās pressure to answer their invasive questions. He lived life true to himself while being generous and kind. He wrote more than 1,800 songs that will be sang long after his death. The fact that Harry chose his song for his playlist and the similarities in style for his outfit tonight speak volumes about his respect for Mexico.
