The white shirt back in streets again to be a class apart.

It seems our obsession with social media may have gone too far after a survey revealed a staggering 80 per cent of women buy new Saturday night party outfits over fears of being 'Facebook tagged' in the same clothes more than once. According to research by fashion company AX Paris, 72 per cent of women will wear a dress only once, and a third would go so far as to cancel a night out if they felt they had nothing to wear.  The increasing presence of social media in our lives, including more photo-sharing platforms, has even led to women placing the number of 'likes' they get from friends as being of greater importance than a compliment from their partner.  Women from Liverpool were revealed to be the most concious of this, with 62 per cent saying they will order their next Saturday night outfit by Tuesday at the very latest. Bristolian women were the most laid-back, with 81 per cent of outfits ordered for Saturday night made the day before for next day delivery. Monica Mistry, marketing manager for AX Paris, said: 'A high proportion of our customers are girls looking for the perfect Saturday night outfit, who want to look fashion forward and fresh in the photos that are shared across the many social media platforms. 'Everything we do nowadays is documented online and in the same way celebrities we admire wouldn't be papped in the same outfit twice, it seems neither would our customers. 'We were also interested in the buying behavior of our customers regionally and the report does confirm certain stereotypes, such as Liverpool ladies taking an exceptional level of care and planning their Saturday night look as early as the Monday before.

Do you hate wearing the same outfit twice but perhaps don’t have the budget to actually live out that dream? Sometimes it’s not the clothes (we love everything we buy right?) but we just want that brand new spark with whatever we wear.

The trick is to have the following items in mainly neutral shades to mix with all the crazy and colourful pieces you just can’t resist.

Skirts: whatever your preference; tight and short; pencil or maxi, this item has transformative qualities! If you’re tired of or have worn all your dresses, slip a skirt over it to make it into a top. Enjoy your friends’ surprise when they go “that’s a dress?!”

Vests: excellent for layering. Denim on the top half is back in and denim vests go great over maxi dresses. Button up tank tops (with or without collars) also work well as a vest. Wear them unbuttoned over a dress and cinch with a belt (use this concept with cardigans in winter); or over a dress or tank top and pants and tie the loose ends together for a casual look.

Sheer tops: they give a hint of skin and are perfect layered over colour. Wear over buttoned up collared tops. Or: over a maxi dresses. Adds warmth and is kinda bo-ho (in a good way); over a jumpsuit. Focuses on the design of the jumpsuit’s lower half.

Sarong-size scarves: Learn how to tie these flirty fabrics into all types of contortions and they’ll be your favourite accessory and teh foundation of a versatile travel wardrobe.

How you tuck it: Not so much an item as how you wear your items. Tucking shirt ends in gives the body shape and is a clean look. Floaty tops that hang loose are cool and casual. Tuck in at the front and let the sides and back out for a polished look.

So there you go, get experimental and start with what you have to make a whole new look!

TOP marks for show location. It was a treat to be invited to the Orangerie et Jardin du Luxembourg this afternoon for Christophe Lemaire’s spring offering for Hermes. What a delight to sit amongst fruit trees, glossy palms and other foliage as models walked their way around this sunlight-filled venue, along a gravel path.

Exotic-looking waterlily florals (a jungle vibe has been a recurring idea this season) opened the show. Printed on cotton tunics and trousers, the print even extended to boots. Those lush prints took their cue from French artist, Henri Rousseau, but then, the Hermes woman would know that already, she likely owns a couple.

What will she want from this collection? Most probably those printed pieces, yes, and those chic scarf tops that wafted in the breeze, a linen trouser suit that will take her anywhere come spring, and of course any one of Lemaire’s sumptuous suede kaftans or full skirts in pops of teal, or quite possibly, she’ll want a pair of his culottes cut from finest crocodile, and why not?

               Chasing summers

Chasing summers is a forecast trend for 2016 which is based on many influences such as French culture. We took French couture from euro cup 2016  and macaroons as an influence for the colour palette.

Tattoos are a genuine popular artform, and people are only now beginning to realise what it can bring to their lives. "A tattoo gives you something to live for," he says. "Why do you get up in the morning? To wear grey, to have your life ruled by train timetables? A tattoo offers you something personal and fun and exciting in a world that can be drab and grey. People's souls are crying out for that. Tattoos are great for finding out more about yourself, for meeting people, for getting up in the morning and looking in the mirror and thinking this is what you are .       At the end making a statement its still a particle of fashion.
