What I love:

-Leonardo, Donatello and Mikey’s designs. I think they look really cool and creative. I like how different they look from each other and how their designs tell their personalities.

-Raph being leader. Because it puts him more into the spotlight. Being the center of attention. And I would like more of Raph. I’m also always rooting for him in any way.

-Leonardo’s goofy personality. I actually love his character. I think he’s personality is hilarious and amusing. I can’t help but love him, despite the fact he’s supposed to be the serious leader.

-Raph being more of a sweetheart. I do like Raph’s toughness. It’s what makes him him. But sometimes, I wish he was more caring and nice to his brothers and not always throwing a temper tantrum. And I’ve seen the new Raph display love and care towards them, which I find quite endearing.

-April. I love her. I love how she’s not presented as just some love interest that needs to be saved most of the time and not some eye candy to drool at. Like srsly. This April, I would root for. She’s got more personality and spunk, and I dig that. 

-The art style and animation. IT IS AMAZING. I absolutely love it. It’s so eye-engaging. So lively, so fluid, so beautiful! And the colors! I absolutely love it. They make the action animation so thrilling too, and I love that.

What I don’t like:

-Raph’s design. I don’t like how big and beefy he is. I really wished he was more like the other three, muscly toned yet lean. I would’ve been so in love if he had a design like that. I’m just not used to how huge he is now cause the version of Raph that I’m most familiar with is the 2012 one. I loved him. I loved how he was the third shortest turtle of the three. And I find it weird how he outsizes the other three so much. It feels like he’s more like their dad or something. Plus he’s supposed to be a teenager. What teenager looks like that? Cause I’ve never seen one. Then again he’s a mutant? And being a snapping turtle, he’s supposed to be bigger than the other species of turtles. Really, I’m just a little disappointed how he came out. Still, he’s a good character. And I like him.

-Leonardo’s personality change. Yeah I do like the character. But what’s weird that in the older version of him, he’s supposed to be the mature, serious and fearless leader. So this change is still a little weird to me.

-Raph being leader. Yeah I mentioned this is what I loved, but seriously the only reason I don’t like it is that I’m used to Leonardo being leader. I don’t exactly like how they switched. 

-Splinter. I realy don’t like this Splinter. There’s nothing I love about him. I guess he’s supposed to be the comedic relief? But really everytime he comes up, I just want to roll my eyes at his antics. He’s not exactly a good father or teacher either. What happened to the wise father who’s always so overprotective over his sons??? Why downgrade him to this nuisance? I just don’t see any good in him. He’s always just lazing around and make problems for the turtles whose names he can’t even remember. The new Splinter is a really great disappointment.

-It’s too random and where’s the plot? I guess it’s because TMNT shows are more on the serious side. Then again it just started. Maybe there will be more of a plot in the future. I’m really hoping for that.

I’ve always been quiet about what happened, because past is past. And I didn’t want to deal with anymore drama. It happened and I wanted to move on. And then she really crossed the line. Dropping names when it was personal matter. And she lied about a lot of things. If you’ve followed ale long enough and seen what happened on her blog yesterday. She said some things that raised a lot of questions. So I’m here today, to tell you guys what really happened. And I have screenshots of proof to back up on what happened.

Bear with me please, cause this is going to be a long story. LONG. I guess I should start from when Ale introduced the idea of Paint Valley. She was really excited about it and really wanted  it to happen. She asked me and the other artists to join in. Paint Valley was supposed to be a story, out of the Cuphead fandom. A story where Brushy, her OC, would star in as the mayor’s daughter, learning to be a leader. Ale wanted Barron to be in it, as he was the teacher/father figure of Brushy in the cuphead fandom. The thought was nice, cause really we can’t imagine them being apart, after all that’s happened between them.

Just so you know, I made a discord server exclusive for my art friends, and that’s where she asked us to join. We talked about it, and we sort of agreed. We even went discussing on how our characters would fit in the world that Ale created. But in all honesty, a part of me didn’t want to do this. It felt weird having to work on two different stories of Barron. Felt off. It’d be different if it was an AU. Usually those are for fun, but something that Ale was proposing felt too real. I didn’t want to change Barron as he was. I love the concept I gave him in the cuphead world and I wanted it to stay that way. And really, I don’t think it would work for all of us to work together on PV. We’re online friends. We live in different timelines, with different lives and have our own problems and tasks to deal with. It wouldn’t be consistent. It wouldn’t work out.

One day while we were discussing on the story of PV, I found the courage to say my feelings about PV. I said I didn’t want to join. And to my surprise the others actually agreed with me, saying that they don’t want to do it either.I guess I wasn’t the only one. I think it was because we felt obligated as friends to say yes to Ale, especially with how she excited she was. Ale wasn’t very happy about that. We kept trying to tell her to slow down with PV cause she was rushing it. And just then she left the server altogether, right in the middle of our discussion. I felt very bad about it. I went to talk to her on tumblr DM. She expressed how upset she was and I apologized. I felt really bad for having to tell her that, but it was my true feelings. Though I was kinda glad that it encouraged the others to be honest as well. Me and Ale made up, I told her she could come back to the server any time and she did. She said she’d do the PV by herself. And then….she made Ben.

This was the only image I could find of him but yeah. He was proclaimed as an important person in PV, and being the teacher of Brushy. Seeing him for the first time really took a toll on me. It felt like Barron was being replaced. Especially with the similarities he had with Barron. The looks and the personality. Sure they have certain differences, but he reminded me so much of Barron. He’s PV Brushy’s teacher for crying out loud. Him being in that position just kept that thought firm. But I didn’t say anything. I just said that it looked nice when she posted the first drawing of him in our discord server. And I kept silent on what I felt. I already made her feel upset before, and she was my friend. I didn’t want to do anything to upset her when she was already so enthusiastic about PV. But then other people also noticed how Ben reminded them of Barron. People sent asks about it, saying he looked more like a Barron copy. Apparently Ale got upset about it and went to me about it on the server.

I didn’t want to talk about it in front of the others so I DMd her. And here is where the problem started. This explains itself.

I really didn’t expect that last message she had sent me. I only tried to give out suggestions with good intentions and she says this. Really, she never talked to me like that. That’s why I was so surprised. I didn’t she would talk to me that way. And it hurt a lot. I couldn’t even reply back for over a day. And after I had recollected my thoughts, I sent her back this message. And this is how are conversation continued and ended.

And that was it. Now do you get why we broke up? I was upset, not solely on her copying me, but on the fact that she would talk to me that way, her own friend. She talks as if her own “fame” was more important than our friendship. That was why I had made a post saying that Brushy and Barron are no longer in relation to each other, and that they would never have another interaction again. I was really bummed about the whole ordeal really. Stressed even. Ale was once a friend of mine. She was actually the first person that I got to interact with in tumblr. So this was quite the blow for me. We hadn’t talked since that happened. But then a few weeks later she came to me in another DM, apologizing. Here’s our conversation.

So yeah, we sort of made up. Sort of anyway. But to be honest, our “friendship” was broken. What she did definitely painted a picture in my head on another side of her that I had just discovered. And it was worrisome. At the most part, I just tried to be neutral about the whole ordeal. So how did we split up again? This is why.

At first, I felt really bad for her. But with all the whole ordeal, I was just so confused on what to do. I was stressed. I wasn’t thinking straight really. So I had to ask my friends about this. And they all agreed on one thing. Ale was manipulating me to pity her. And after awhile, I understood. Really using suicide to guilt trip someone is just low. And I almost fell for it. I didn’t answer after that last message. That’s when I decided I didn’t want to have anything to do with her. So I blocked her. And I moved on. All that ale did was just so sketchy. My trust in her was crushed. What happened really made me feel uncomfortable with having to draw Barron again. It just brought up too many memories involving Ale. That’s why I went on a cuphead hiatus...But then I got better! I’m pretty happy where I’m at now. 

I just don’t understand why she’s still hung up over this. And besides, I was only trying to help her in the first place. I didn’t say that she should change PV in its entirety. I only gave her suggestions on how to change Ben so people wouldn’t think he looks like Barron. She says that it’s inspired, but that very sentence itself is already a hint to how she followed/copied my idea for Barron. And she even blamed other people for her own doing. I feel dumb for even feeling guilty about it in the first place. After what she said to me, it really showed her true colors, and I don’t want any part of that.

Her saying she hates me and puppo, calling us hypocrites and liars? I mean, what did we even lie about? Telling people to go to hell for disagreeing with her?  And another thing, her saying that we betrayed her just for rejecting her invitation have our OCs be a part of PV is absolutely uncalled for. They are our OCs, not hers. And it is our own choice on what we would do with our time. We didn’t turn our backs on her even. I don’t understand why she had to block us just for that. But even after months, Ale was still hung up over. But it’s been MONTHS already. And that first image up there, she posted just two days ago. I haven’t even talked to her for months. So I don’t understand why she’s bringing this up again.

 Now guys, I’m not telling you this so you’d hate or attack Ale or anything. I just don’t want anymore of  this name dropping and accusations to continue. I just want to draw and not have to see this constant harrassment. So I’m showing you this to tell you the whole truth.
