Sorry no update this week, we were very busy with Rosh Hashanna, both cooking and eating! Yom Kippur is next week, but we’re going to try our best to have a recipe out for you guys anyway. It’ll be another tasty baked good using zucchini, so look forward to it!

We had a lot of leftover zucchini this year from our CSA, so we were running out of things to cook with it. Why not bake? Zucchini is an excellent addition to any cookie or bread recipe, as you’ll see when you follow Kanmi!

We borrowed a recipe from VeryBestBaking. It reminds me a lot of my mom’s pumpkin oatmeal cookies, but with a slightly different twist!

Introducing Magnolia! She is a Spriteling made by Spritelings.com. We made friends with her creator and backed Magnolia’s kickstarter, knowing she’d be a great addition to our kitchen and a wonderful host for vegetarian recipes!

This is a super simple recipe and it’s meant to be an addition to an entree. That entree doesn’t have to be chicken, of course! It’s just what we were having that night. This can be part of a vegetarian meal as well.

I heard that Undertale was having an anniversary! Please enjoy StuffinFluff Cooking’s take on the butterscotch cinnamon pie, featuring the official Toriel plush from Fangamer!

When this recipe says to keep mixing, please keep mixing! Melting the sugar into the butter can be challenging, and so can adding the mixture to the egg yolks. Take it as slow as you need, but turn the heat down on the butter a little to keep it from burning if you’re going to take a while!

Looking for a quick snack? Lucky you, because apple chips are tasty, healthy, and very easy to make. This particular recipe uses the spice cardamom, which is slightly less common but can be bought in powdered form. The recipe is ok without it, so don’t worry, but it does add a unique spicy-sweetness to the apples and is worth trying!

If you do use cardamom powder, only use a little bit, 1 dash at a time. The stuff is very strong!

Cute little Kanmi is always happy when she can share a sweet but healthy recipe with you, although baking is her very favorite.

You will want about 30 oz of pie dough in total before you begin preparing the other ingredients. Here is one of my favorite pie dough recipes. Just adjust the amounts for how much you need!

We made this dish over the winter, and it was a total delight! The folks at Daisy and the Fox really hit it out of the park with this one. So who better to teach you than a fox himself, Doki the Dumpling Fox?

Even without a couple of eggs in the mix, the salsa-sausage mixture is great on its own. The eggs add even more awesomeness!

The original recipe suggests some whole grain toast to go along with it, and I have to agree. Maybe with some avocado, too!

OUR GLORIOUS RETURN!! WELCOME BACK TO STUFFINFLUFF COOKING! We have all been gone at Katsucon and MAGfest, as well as other more boring jobs. Thanks if you stopped by our table to say hi! We have many new recipes on the way, and even new chefs and new guest chefs, but for now we’re starting with something very basic.

If you make enough chicken stock, you can have a base for all kinds of soups and recipes! It adds a personal touch to all recipes that call for stock, instead of just using store-bought. Please use this recipe as a guideline and adjust your own stock according to how you’d like it! Komi the Spice Shiba loves using garlic and peppercorns in his stock.

Remember, it’s okay if stock doesn’t have a bold flavor. It should be subtle, but with a little depth. Stock is meant to be the beginning of your recipe, just like this post is the beginning of regular posts from StuffinFluff!

TO STORE CHICKEN STOCK:

Refrigerate 4-5 days

Freeze 5-6 months

Hello!  We’re back with a great deal of new art!  I sprained my ankle very badly last month and have not been able to cook much.  However, that gave me the time I’d needed to do all these sticker and poster ideas I had been meaning to get to!  Yay!  Please enjoy!

One last cookie recipe before the holiday! For any of you last-minute bakers, this one is pretty easy. And fun! Kanmi and I found it on Back To Her Roots, and it seems it’s an attempt to reproduce those tasty Lofthouse cookies everyone loves. If you ask me, these were BETTER.

Happy Holiday Cookie Time continues! Kanmi will be taking over the next couple of cookie recipes, because this is her first cookie week with us and she is THRILLED.

This is the first cookie recipe we at StuffinFluff have developed all on our own. The goal was to get a rich, brownie-like cookie with peppermint flavor, and dress it up nice!

Important note: Do NOT overbake these. If they seem mushy out of the oven but LOOK finished, you are probably done! Let them cool and enjoy the minty chocolate goodness with your family or friends! Happy Holidays!
