so this week has been a long year huh…. two weeks no classes over here (with no word yet on whether we’ll get an online component). adapting to working from home is gonna be weird one, but thankfully i have plenty of sunlight and a new found love for tea 🥺 i hope you all are staying safe and doing well!! things will get better. i promise.

12/01/2018 - day in the life (part 1)

busy busy day yesterday - collections (mock exams) are today and tomorrow, and i’ve got three this time. even the material i understand i haven’t really memorised at all yet, so it’s a busy cramming job so that i can (hopefully) pass some of these. my collections timetable isn’t ideal, i’d hoped for a gap in the middle so i could cram more strategically :(

i also had to finish the last edits on my lab report, since the first draft of that is due today, and make lasagne bc i defrosted the mince already

🏳️‍🌈We are witnessing history as my country becomes the first country in Asia to grant everyone the right to marry who they love, regardless of gender.

So same-sex marriage is not yet legal in Taiwan.

But then again the key points in the explanation were 1. The current laws that forbid gay folks to marry are unconstitutional bc they violate people’s rights to freely “marry” and 2. It also violates the constitution’s principles regarding “equality” for every citizen

So imho even though there is a bit of a wait before people can start renting tuxes and gowns, the criteria for new laws are set in stone (equal marriage, not some special civil union law bullshit) and there really isn’t a lot of room to legally fuck around. Or time, considering the two year limit. After that people could just walk in and get wed.
