1. Read class notes before bed
The first way you can increase your grades is by reading your class notes every night before you fall asleep. Studies have shown that the brain takes the most recent memories of the day and stores them in long term memory. This means that you will have a better chance of recalling your notes if you study them a little before bed each night. If reading all of your notes before bed is too big of a task, just try going over the last lecture notes in each class every night.
2. Study in advance
I am a firm believer in the power of studying in advance. This is one thing that always helps me to do better on my exams. Whether it’s the hardest test of the year, finals, or whatever, this technique never fails. My favorite thing about studying in advance is that it helps me to become familiar with the notes so that I can avoid late night cramming when the test comes. This girl is not a night person! Studying in advance also really helps to eliminate stress.

3. Be productive when studying
When you start studying, you need to make sure that you are actually being productive with your time. Make sure that you are paying attention to what you are reading. Try to keep your phone out of sight and out of mind. Turning your phone on moon mode will really help with this. Remember that everyone’s brain works differently, so, be sure that you are using study techniques and tools that help you. Don’t just study one way because that’s how everyone else does it. Study in whatever way works best for you.
4. Wake up early and make a plan
I know this one is a little painful for those of you who are not morning people, but try waking up fifteen minutes earlier to go through your plan for the day. You can make a list of things you need to do, look over notes, check your emails, etc. Waking up early and making a plan will help you feel more prepared for the day ahead which will then lead to more effective classes, studying, and better test grades.
5. Recite notes out loud
Studies show that reciting your notes out loud helps you to retain more information. Who am I to argue with science right? So next time you study, try reciting your notes out loud. If it appears to help you, then keep it up for future studying!

I saw your post about your Korean friend. Are you trying to learn Korean at all?
Hey:) Yeah because she is my friend I did learn some korean:) like reading and writing hangeul and very basic phrases
I LOVE YOUR BLOG - how do you do such gorgeous notes and have enough time ? Does it not waste time
Hi dear :D thanks a lot!I find colourful notes more motivating but yes they do take more time to make.. and now that I'm in Uni I don't always have time for that.. Guess you have to find a balance between time constraint and how tidy your notes can be hahah
what do you study for? :) i always study. my work is writing. i like to know what you study :) pretty girl
Hi :) well thank you! Right now I'm studying for University. My majors are Politics, Law and Economics

Reasons to be excited for fall
1. Not sweating your ass off 24/7 and actually getting to wear jeans, boots, and sweaters.
2. Rainy nights and misty mornings.
3. Baking nonstop and also eating nonstop cause you really don't care about your summer bod anymore.
4. Because there are nothing better than lazy fall days where you can relax with a book, blanket, and cup of tea.
5. Because there is basically just one holiday after another and it's great to see your family and be in festive mode 24/7.
6. There is nothing better than candles, and crunchy leaves, and seeing red and orange everywhere you go, and listening to indie folk, and watching horror movies, and visiting coffee shops, and buying new sweaters, and OMG I LOVE FALL.
Why'd you say my Korean friend? Why not just friend? Like why'd you have to specify the ethnicity???
Because she's from korea. Just thought I'd include that. I don't think it's offensive in any way to include where somebody is from.

Not taking any chances
I scrolled past this and the guilt was too much
Hello everyone! I just found this wonderful app called TimeTune which is,quite frankly, AMAZING!
You can set up routines for yourself including reminders for imp stuff and all. The app even shows daily/weekly statistics so that you know just where all your time is going! (Like I found out that I tend to waste a lot of time after waking up, walking around like a zombie *shrugs*)
Its especially helpful to schedule your day so that you can seamlessly move from one activity to another without wasting time.
What’s more, you can also customize the tags and icons( so cute!) and put in little notes for yourself (like I did lol)
I seriously recommend it to everyone! ( its free too!)
Love, Shree PS: I AM JUST 6 FOLLOWERS AWAY FROM 200 WTH?!!

Hey! I just came across your blog and it has been a huge motivator for me to keep working hard x This question kinda goes along w/ one you already answered, but it has been really difficult for me to at least narrow down my options as to what to study. I want to become a marine biologist, naturopath, or journalist, but I also love music and theatre. How can I choose? And do you think I should do various things or just focus on one thing? Thank youuu x (:
Hi love!
I relate to that so hard! Even with Uni courses.. There are so many attractive ones that i can imagine doing and picking one is such a pain.
Those are all very interesting options you named. You’re interested in both sciences and the arts which is cool!
Can i ask you: do you have experience in any of those directions? Like writing an article for a local/school newspaper or conducting your own research or anything?
A teacher i trust once told me that you won’t know if you really like doing something until you’ve actually done it yourself. For example being a pathologist like Molly in BBC’s Sherlock (if you excuse the reference) may seem like a cool job on tv but if you actually do it you may notice.. ‘Hmm. I dont like handling dead bodies’. Okay. Weird example. But you know what i mean..
To cut to the chase: Try to get at least some hands on experience, ask people in those jobs about what they do, just try basically. Then you can make a more educated choice. Personally i think its better to focus on not too many things at once.. If you really want to become excellent at something you need focus. Maybe consider having one as a profession and the other as a hobby. But really it’s not for me to decide for ya ;) just saying what i think!
