â ah, but the real ticker is that they all seem to think that they have massive importance in the world. â everyone in the sleepy town of mystic falls did. even the mortals. it was sad that they believed they were the only place around that suffered loss, animal attacks and a town wide eviction notice. clearly none of them picked up a newspaper or did any research outside of the town to see that their little bubble was nothing compared to the horrors that everyone else faced daily. â hopefully, getting rid of most of their population deflated that little town ego of theirâs. â the heretic shrugged, biting into the corner of his lip as he stood up from the chair to cross over to the other side of the room in search of the blood bags she had promised. â question is, do you want her dead? â he retorted over his shoulder, using his newly gained vampire speed to go into the next room to grab the bags, returning seconds later with three of them in tow. â as long as they arenât heretics, i donât care. â the male shrugged, setting two of the bags down on the table, while taking the other one along with him as he sat back down in his seat. â youâre too kind. â kai reached for an empty glass, ripping open the bag with his teeth before pouring the contents inside. â but really, i donât understand why you or any of your family gets a bad rap, you arenât that bad. â in fact, the mikaelsons were the only family aside from lilian salvatoreâs heretics that he could stand, and that was saying a lot cause kai parker really didnât like anybody. Â
âoh, iâm aware.â rebekah said dryly. âiâve lost count of the amount of times they tried to wipe out my family. as if they could.â despite herself, she smiled. such hubris was fairly common with young vampires; immortality brought with it a sense of invincibility. fortunately it was a sense that could be easily knocked down by those far older and wiser. âdead? no. iâm not looking to start a war.â rebekah eyed him for a moment at his mention of heretics. now didnât seem like the moment to announce that she didnât much care for the witch-vampire hybrids. she wasnât quite done with him yet and she imagined that her lack of concern for his species might have some detrimental effects on his willingness to carry out her bidding. âyes, we are that bad. donât mistake the fact that i havenât killed you for kindness.â there was a trail of blood throughout history that the mikaelsonsâ were entirely responsible for. even they themselves made no excuses for their behaviour. âperhaps iâll introduce you to my brothers. that might explain that bad rap youâve heard so much about.â
