The whole “Tristan Duel Links glitch” thing just kinda fulfills a post-DSoD headcanon of mine where Kaiba notices Honda’s mechanical, duel disk tampering skills on some wacky adventure sometime and Kaiba’s “smidgeon of talent-o-meter” tells him it’s a shame Honda is stuck working for his dad and “he DID save Mokuba once so” so he just casually offers him an internship or apprenticeship or whatever.

And so Honda goes to work at KaibaCorp and discovers it’s Hell’s Kitchen meets Devil Wears Prada.

Kaiba’s intentionally a dick to teach him a valuable lession of some kind.

And along the way Honda manages to glitch up Duel Links.

Kaiba brothers/Honda bonding cuz Honda needs to be a more important character yes.
