HARRY: Jesus, these people are delusional. Malfoy so does not have nice shoulders and arms. The only thing Malfoy knows how to do is buy turtlenecks that are five sizes too small for him. Probably because his bad eyesight stops him from looking at labels properly. Just fucking get glasses! I told him so many times that he needs them or it just gets worse! I don’t know what his problem is, those gold frames suit him perfectly.

Debris/Harmony by Monotremata (light angst) 

Two separate conversations. One at the end of year 6 and the next at the end of year 7.

Canon divergent comic featuring supportive friends and thoughtful emotional conversations between Harry and Draco: Debris at Dumbledore’s funeral and Harmony after Voldemort’s defeat (Draco’s reaction is very on point). I enjoyed reading the heartfelt conversations and the progress of their relationship. Love the Drarry twist of the canon scenes! A really satisfying read. Bonus: check out their H/D Hurtfest comic featuring Werewolf!Draco and Harry trying to help him. A sinister, melancholic comic that really impacts the reader. Warnings for light angst (my poor heart), self-hatred, werewolf attack, threats of violence and an ambiguous ending.

A Very Campy Christmas Carol by @miakagrewup 

A fun twist on ‘A Christmas Carol’ featuring the Malfoys, including @miakagrewup’s amusing and lovable Campy Lucius. I love the silly moments in this comic as much as the seriousness and lovely sweet message of it. 

The long way around by @harrypotterandtheshittysideblog 

 A lovely short comic of the progression of Harry and Draco’s relationship from enemies to friends to lovers. Featuring iconic canon scenes with a Drarry twist at the end. They took the long way, but they got there! Bonus: check out this artist’s hilarious comic series based on Friends, it’s freaking gold and the characterisations are on point👌🏼

Draco’s crushing by @scarlet47  

This comic is a cute story of Draco accidentally bumping into Harry and knocking his glasses off before hurrying away, though Harry finds an excuse to get Draco to meet him. I love this artist’s style, it makes me think of a cross between Chibi art and Pokémon or Sonic the hedgehog; all sharp lines and soft features at the same time. Find more of their comics here. 

Chance Encounter in Muggle London (5 part comic) by @mad1492 

Coffee shop AU!! Draco and Harry are startled to see each other in a Muggle coffee shop. Read on to discover how their relationship progresses from awkward blushing dorks to something more (but they’re still dorks). The monochrome palette adds to the soft, coffee shop vibe of the comic.

Interhouse Unity Party  by @aeshsar

A Hogwarts eighth year comic of Pansy and Blaise convincing Draco to wear muggle clothing, which of course he looks gorgeous in, to attract Harry’s attention. They themselves are wearing amazing, stylish outfits. The expressions are very on point, from Blaise and Pansy’s excited, scheming grins, to Draco’s sneer, to Harry’s face when he sees Draco in said muggle clothing. Sometimes it’s Now or Never by @bluebutter-art (implied sexual content) 

The aftermath of a messy Auror raid finds one Harry Potter at the doorstep of Draco Malfoy’s home. Who knew that a brush with death is exactly the push he needs to finally tell Draco how he really feels?

This comic (like so many of this artist’s works) is simply glowing and magical and soft in a quiet sort of way. The sexual tension as Draco gently tends to Harry’s wounds leads to more gentle and intimate moments (and of course, implied sexy times).

A date to the Samhain Ball by @monieedraws (WIP)

This comic is based on @digtheshipper’s fic which I adore and thus was excited to see there’s art of it! Set in eighth year, featuring Draco baulking at his forfeit of asking Harry to the Samhain Ball after losing at a game of poker against Pansy. The comic is a WIP, but it’s brilliant so far. I love the artist’s style and personal interpretation of scenes in the fic. Do check out the amazing fic as well!

I literally gasped when I saw this and the amazing colours! Lovely short comic of Aurors Harry and Draco looking stunning while working together in a duel, before a quip by Harry throws a blushing Draco off balance.

This is a hilarious comic of Harry coming to terms with Feelings ™️ and trying to track down Draco after receiving a spontaneous hug from him when Harry returns his wand. Featuring misunderstandings, paranoid drama-queen Draco being unable to escape from Harry’s Malfoy-Radar, and friends who are so done with them. I love the artist’s captions and tags 😂 They’re also working on this Drarry comic called Next Time (WIP -  2 chapters of part 1 so far): slowburn, 3 part comic of Draco helping repair Hogwarts as part of his compulsory community service, mostly keeping to himself, and stalker curious Harry trying to interact with him. I’m really excited about this one! (Part 2 is ‘They were roommates’ 👀)

Tea for Two by dustmouth

Harry and Draco are forced to find some way to entertain themselves whilst waiting for the kettle to boil. Snogging while wearing questionable costumes seems as good a plan as any.

I adore this humorous comic featuring Draco and Harry in silly costumes. An amused Harry brews tea as he listens to Draco proudly boasting about his wonderful acting skills and reminiscing about childhood soirees. This is really brilliant, and the way the artist draws their expressions is everything. It was difficult for me to pick just one of their works, and it gave me an excuse to binge read all their comics while deciding. 😌Another one I like is Potter and the Pea, based on the classic fairytale. Oh goodness, this artist’s style is just perfect. A really funny comic of an exasperated Harry tasked with helping Draco get his wand permittance (which, as the summary says, is just an excuse to spend time with Harry, honestly). Featuring dramatic (like, dramatic. And a bit crazy. See chapters 5 and 6) Veela!Draco, cock(blocking) clocks and Drarry being Drarry.

Draco pops his head into the kitchen, “I should go then…”

“What? Why?” He thought they were past this, that Draco doesn’t mind his friends all that much anymore.

“It’s impolite to stay. You’ve got other guests coming over.”

Harry thinks about the posh robes hanging in his closet, the numerous potions lined up in his bathroom, Draco’s favorite book beside the bed (The Picture of Dorian Gray), and the mug he can’t remember Draco bringing but is always by the sink just the same.

“What if I don’t want you to be a guest anymore?”

Draco stares at him for a long moment before breaking into a delighted laugh, “Is that your way of asking me to move in?”

Darting across the room, Harry scoops him into a hug, “Is that a yes?”

“As if it would be anything else,” he says fondly, pressing a kiss to Harry’s cheek. “And your curry is burning.”

Since it’s nearing Jin’s birthday, I thought it’d be cool to do sort of a birthday post where I just talk about some little parts of Jin that people might not notice at first glance. Honestly, though I’ve been a fan of BTS since the summer of 2016, I still find that I’m learning more and more about each member as time goes on and my love and respect for them only grows deeper. To kick it off, I’ll just share some things I’ve noticed about Jin that might be overlooked by some.

1. His hardworking attitude

I think a lot of times people see Jin, especially those that came into the fandom around 2017, as the guy who cracks funny, uncle jokes, is handsome, loves to cook and has a caring soul. Yes, these are all true, but what’s often overlooked is his hardworking attitude. 

Jin isn’t the type to complain nor is it easy to spot when he’s annoyed or frustrated. (Either that or the cameras don’t focus on that side of him at all. I get the sense that Jin himself isn’t really the type to whine and moan about a mistake or something that irritated him. Maybe in a joking manner, but not in a way that’d offend anyone or make the atmosphere go all dark.) I think it’s also his happy-go-lucky attitude mixed with a sense of calmness and natural confidence that can make people forget that Jin is a hard worker. He really gives me the feeling that when there’s some crisis mode, he’d be the one that isn’t shaken so much and would go, “This will pass. This is just one hurdle. Shit happens, but we just have to make the best of it. The plus side is XYZ.” Add in the fact that he isn’t the type to flaunt or showcase his talents in your face. It’s easy to forget that Jin has probably worked really hard to get to where he is today or to reach his goals.

I remember that episode where he had to perform a solo dance and he kept practicing very hard. Also, his vocals … have improved SO much over the years. I think his vocals are the strongest for me out of the vocal line, in terms of stability and colour. His singing voice can really touch your soul; he was the only one out of BTS that made me tear up when he sang his solo song. (Jin is not my bias. This is also not to say that the other members of the vocal line don’t have good vocals. They do. This is just to point out that Jin’s vocals HAVE improved a lot compared to his debut days. Vocal improvement probably comes with practice.) Him learning the guitar again? That requires effort. 

2. His intelligence

I think Jin is much smarter than he lets on. Look at him opening a restaurant? He also graduated from a good university in Korea. I think he’s doing his Master’s (?) or mentioned he might continue doing that. He can click with members of the maknae line and the hyung line. 

He also seems to have a lot of idol and non-idol friends. He is a mini social butterfly like Taehyung.

Finally, back in the earlier debut days, Jin had kept this image of being like a nice, prince-like older brother. I think it was around the end of 2016 - early 2017 did Jin realize that he could set a firmer image for himself by being known as “worldwide handsome” and the member who cracks funny, uncle jokes. I’m sure he enjoys that type of humour personally too. However, I just think he’s smart for knowing that this would give him a stronger presence among fans and make him even more memorable to the audience.

3. His humility 

He never brags about his achievements. He also never rarely mentions his family status or life. I like how protective he is of his family members. I don’t think he is the type that would like to flaunt his family’s wealth. We don’t know exactly how wealthy his family is and frankly that doesn’t matter at all to me. What is obvious is that he does come from a more well-off family than the other members. That just comes from his natural confidence and demeanour–the way he presents himself. He reminds me of a lot of rich private school kids I know who were just born in a wealthy family. No matter their personality, nearly all of them have this natural confidence that just comes from their upbringing. It’s hard to explain what it is, but if you’ve interacted with people like that, then you just know. You automatically feel their innate confidence, which is what Jin exudes. 

Now some rich kids turn out to be very arrogant and abuse their status/wealth, but Jin doesn’t. Jin is still very down to earth, a guy who’s genuinely excited about ramen and hot dogs and didn’t mind living in a cramped dorm during his trainee days when he could have stayed comfortably at home. Also, Jin doesn’t even care much about fashion. He really is the type that wears whatever he sees and just sees fashion as well, you just gotta look clean and presentable. That is very refreshing to see.

Jin also treats everyone equally. I’m not Korean, but I have Korean friends who tell me how depending on one’s age, you would treat someone with more respect. (I was hearing some horrific stories about their army experiences…hazing is real.) Essentially, since Jin is the oldest, he should be the most respected and he can probably make the shots and get the young ones to do things for him. Jin doesn’t do that. Look at Jungkook teasing him so often?? Jungkook definitely respects Jin and I’m sure all of them still abide by the Korean standards of respect based on age. However, I think within BTS, this standard is far more flexible, feels more like a North American culture where we see one another as equals. (Jin was also the one that first apologized to Taehyung during their argument on Burn the Stage. That’s a really big thing to do…)

4. His athleticism

I am almost positive that Jin works out very often and has a strict regime. He may eat a lot and have fast metabolism, but for him to have muscles, he’d have to work out. I think BTS has mentioned several times that Jin actually has abs/muscles. He just doesn’t flash them around or announce that he’s gonna go work out.

Jin is also the one that tries to try out all the sports activities when BTS is on some trip. I think in their Saipan trip, Jin tried out nearly all the water activities and he excelled in many of them. I’ve noticed that in the Run episodes, Jin is actually decent at sports and he has mentioned before that he enjoys more of these “extreme” type of activities. (I forget which interview though..)

I also remember during the Burn the Stage movie, he was knocking on Jungkook’s door or another member’s to get them to go work out with him. You also see him working out with the trainer and yes, he probably doesn’t enjoy it so much since he’s making jokes here and there to ease the pain of some moves, but he’s still doing it. That … is dedication. 

5. His optimism 

I really think he is the true sunshine of BTS. Yes, Hoseok is the known sunshine, but I don’t think Hoseok is naturally that optimistic or outgoing. Hoseok’s sunshine presence has been part of him due to his stage personality as “J-Hope”. This is NOT to say that Hoseok is fake; he himself says that now it’s hard for him to shut down making noises. You know the saying, fake it till you make it? Pretty sure that’s what happened to Hobie. He turned into a sunshine for us.

Now Jin, on the other hand, he is a different type of sunshine. If Hoseok is that hot summer sun in the middle of August, then Jin is that warm sun that welcomes you during a cool spring day. Jin’s sunny demeanour has a different warmer feeling; it’s softer and subtler. You don’t even realize it until the cool breeze comes and you rush towards that spot of sunlight.

Jin’s optimism comes through during his serious talks with the members like when he and Namjoon are chatting in Bon Voyage 2 at their dinner. He cracks a joke to soften the mood or he says a few phrases to try to cheer up another member. 

J-hope/Hoseok: bish bye

Jin: will end on happy terms with her/him and move along. Will jokingly talk about how his heart was broken a lot with humour in the future, but not shade specifically.

Namjoon: a lot on his plate to cling on to a heartbreak, he’ll be quiet for a few days after the heartbreak while internally mourning but will not take more than a few days to move on.

Suga: Yoongi will have it on his mind for a while, we all know he’ll write a few songs about it too, distance himself even more than usual for a few weeks and it’ll never completely escape his sub-conscious mind.

Jungkook: Will have it hurting him for months but will eventually move on, but never quite forget how it happened. Will judge himself more than the person who hurt him,

Jimin: Will have it scar his ego and self-esteem quite permanently, “why was I not enough?”

1. Personality wise overall. I have a feeling the man’s very emotional under his shell. He’s had several emotional breakdowns and even has been rumoured to have a therapist who suggested him getting into art to channel his inner angst. By now we all know Taehyung has two sides, a dark emotional side and a cheerful playful side, which might explain why the dude’s so good at acting. But considering how Taehyung is a social person, you know he doesn’t like being alone. So on days when he’s feeling low, he’s for sure going to be the kind to ask you to just company him alone. Also expect him to be talkative a lot on dates when he’s happy and feeling himself, but also expect him to be quiet and just enjoying your silent company on other days when he’s low. We know he’s been through a lot in the past few years, and the best thing to do would be to embrace how he handles and overcomes his thoughts. This is one reason I love him so much, he’s so relatable. 

2. Encountering a pretty girl. Taehyung is very likely to purposely do things to grab a pretty girl’s attention. Imagine if he spots a pretty girl backstage in a distance or something, he’s more likely to talk loudly to his friends or drop things here and there to grab her attention and eventually when he gets the chance to stand side by side to her, he’ll probably make the first move. But I also have a feeling he’s going to take things slowly AFTER making the first move. Like, he’ll wait for a sign to show that you’re actually interested to ask for a date, even if you two have been chatting for a long time and have become friends for a while.

3. In a relationship. Expect your dates to be….extraordinary? Like someday he would take you to a museum, and others just to walk on a sunny day through idk a corn farm or something with a camera lmao. Probably expect clinginess from him. He’s a family guy and he’ll shower you with text messages saying ‘this reminded me of you’ A LOT, probably call you after a long day just to rant. But then again he’s a really good listener, so he’ll encourage you to rant to him about whatsoever going on in your life too. He’s also not likely to push conversations in case you don’t want to talk about it. I have a feeling if you were a little upset at him and over the phone said ‘I don’t want to talk about it’, he’s not very likely to push it and would rather be like ‘okay, want to go out to eat soon?’ and change the topic instead of pushing you to do anything for him. He’ll click a lot of selfies, and a lot of pictures of you alone. He’s also very likely to introduce you to his parents very soon in the relationship considering how close he is to his family. 

4. Getting jealous. Something tells me he gets jealous a lot. Like even though on your face he’ll pretend like he’s not, he lowkey is. On your face he would never ask you to step aside and do something (or rather not do something) for him, but behind your back he will go to the guy you’re getting close to, and tell him to back off. He’ll do anything to not ruin his image in your mind. (I think maybe communication would be a big issue). It’s like he’d have an indirect way to show his jealousy, like holding your hand in public to make sure others know you’re taken.

5. Getting Intimate. Taehyung’s not a little child so expect him to grab your waist while walking side by side with him. He’s not likely to do PDA but in public more or less like hand holding. In private I have a feeling he’s very freaky and very noisy? Like he’s going to be down to try new positions or new roleplaying (he loves to roleplay, armies know this) and he’s going to really like the girl being dominant and her being on top. At the same time I don’t think he’s very likely to talk about sexual stuff to his friends or even hint in public that you two would have been intimate, but be the hoe behind close doors, as a secret only the two of you share.

Let me know if you want me to give his personality under any other category than the 5 mentioned and also let me know any other member or group’s you’d like to know.

i found it quite difficult to nail this analysis down - this is the only member i actually had to plan before writing. taehyung has a personality that kind of confuses me because he is everything all at once. he is such a big character that i dont think i could possibly understand him wholly; and understanding is what i do best. i think what makes taehyung so big is his lust for life. he is curious and he doesn’t hold back. he has no qualms when it comes to judgement. taehyung is dynamic. he is so entertaining to watch and thats what makes him so popular. people want a taste of the zest he has, they want that to be as bright as him. but they cant, because taehyung will always be the star of the show and he doesn’t even try. he will always be one step ahead of everyone as they try to catch up but he isn’t a conformist, he is a trendsetter. he does things that arent mainstream and his singularity will bring copycats. thats just the type of person taehyung is. 

i dont think thats the only reason why taehyung is popular amongst idols or why he has so many friends, i think he also has a knack for communication. it is natural to him which makes him seem more charismatic and his energy will ultimately empower those around him. taehyung has so many big ideas because his mind is always whirring and because he has his own language, inadvertently persuades whoever he is with. he has the power to inspire who he is with just with his words. taehyung also brings out the best in people and i think the fact that he is humble is why he is likeable.

taehyungs mind never stops and is always filled with thoughts and dreams and this curious nature brings him to be fascinated by small things. this fascination is why taehyung is so observant and why he seems to just watch over sometimes, eyes glazed over. he is so lost in his own thoughts that he has left his body to live in hise mind. but this endless stream of thoughts could be considered both a strength and a flaw. a strength; taehyung knows himself and his thoughts like the back of his hand, he is interested in things and this curiosity is his drive to try new things. a weakness; taehyung is highly emotional and is very in touch with his own emotions so being in his own head could lead to negative thoughts and create unnecessary insecurities. 

taehyung has a need for independence, he doesn’t like when he has to rely on someone. you see this when he brings up hold me tight, of course, he is proud. but i think he is just reminding others that that is his own work. his. independently. he likes when he has credit and when people acknowledge this. taehyung feels as though rules are restraint and would much prefer to be set free. he likes to be seen as independent, he wants to be seen as someone that can do things for himself. but, unfortunately, taehyung has assigned himself to the kpop industry where independence is a desire that wont be attained. this would stress taehyung out and i can see that taehyung would possibly be sad in his position if it weren’t for his other members.

i think that taehyung really does look up to jin as an older brother and has a great amount of respect for him and ive noticed that he always laughs at jins jokes!!! a+ concept!!! yoongi and taehyung are a fun pair to analyse because they are so different; yoongi values realism and taehyung values optimism. they both see the world in juxtaposing ways and thats why i think that they would be a good pair since i believe that opposites do attract. hoseok and taehyung are strange because as much as i love their interactions, they both seem too intense for each other. both of them have such strong characters that i feel like they can only be around each other for a certain amount of time before it drives either one insane. namjoon and taehyung are cute!!! namjoon has a soft spot for cuteness and i think thats why tae and him are so close. taehyung loves to listen and namjoon loves to talk. good combo. jimin and taehyung are also one of my favourite relationships in bangtan because they seem to understand each other. they have this deep brotherly bond that they have formed over the years and i think its a really important relationship for jimins psyche because taehyung understands jimins personality better than i think anyone else does. its really beautiful to watch them interact and hear their inside jokes. taehyung and jungkook are another one of my favourite relationships because jungkook can keep taehyung on his toes and thats what taehyung needs, he needs someone that can keep up with him and give him a run for his money. he loves the competition and thats what jungkook brings.

kim taehyung - enfp/capricorn. pioneer, zest, curious, character.

okay so hoseok is probably the member that im interested in the most. most people see him as his avatar - an image, a persona - which is bubbly and cheerful and hoseoks voice always fills the silence. as much as i do believe that hoseok does have these traits, i don’t think that this is necessarily the hoseok that bangtan see from day to day. he has the most intense image that strays away from his own personality and that would stress anybody out. its a pressure to always have a one-liner or to make a funny entrance and you can see it takes a toll on him. his cheerful image is constructed by bighit and i really dont like when people think that he is just being himself because it is clearly a concept made for entertainment purposes - which isn’t a bad thing because, at the end of the day, bangtan are entertainers. hoseok is immensely complex and has many different sides to him and id like to go through them.

the choreographer, the teacher. we see this side of him sometimes in dance practices. he is patient, but he is stern. he asserts himself most when it comes to dance because that is what he knows best. dance is where he finds solace so he takes it seriously. he practices until he cant any more and he is a perfectionist, you can see this in the foot work. each foot is perfectly place, each move combats the beat. its as if he has practised for hours on end - which, he does. hoseok has a strong sense of duty when it comes to dance and takes it seriously; serious is a word that juxtaposes his online persona which is why people are most surprised when they see him act like an actual human being. 

the carer, the lover. hoseok has a warm, sensitive side which i think i love most. he acts as an older brother figure for the maknae line and is a friend to the hyung line. he cares for them, he teaches them, he learns from them. hoseok seeks harmony in the group and i dont think he would cope very well if there wasn’t a connection with who he was with, which is why i do believe that all of bangtan are very close. i think he also knows how to connect well with others which is why he doesn’t have trouble making friends. he knows what other people need and value, and conforms to it. i think that hoseok is also very vulnerable to conforming because he doesn’t like to be left out and he doesn’t like to lose. he may be considered a pushover to people and is easier to manipulate.

hoseok and jin are nice to watch because i think jin loves to learn and hoseok is always there to help him learn. even though hoseok is younger than jin, he is a teacher figure to jin. jin respects hoseok. hoseok and yoongi are my #1 go-to relationship in bangtan. they are the most complex members and together they just fit together so perfectly, as if there personalities were made to be mended together. yoonseok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i lvoe them. hoseok and namjoon are a really interesting pair and i love their dynamic. they would do anything to please one another and i love watching them interact. they are the same age which gives them a deeper connection. hoseok and jimin are really lovely too because jimin understand hoseok and his love for dance and i think hoseok really appreciate that. jimin knows when hoseok is tired and grumpy and knows when to stop and i think thats a really good quality in a friendship. hoseok and taehyung are strange because as much as i love their interactions, they both seem too intense for each other. both of them have such strong characters that i feel like they can only be around each other for a certain amount of time before it drives either one insane. hoseok and jungkook have a sibling relationship, jungkook really admires and respects hoseok and his dance and wants to learn from him. hoseok keeps jungkook on his toes which is exactly what that boy needs.
