I can't say for certain when I became the person that sees someone hurtin' and just walks away.

God forbid. God forbid that I ever need anyone again. I have always needed someone but I never let my self. Once I let myself need someone, I ended up shattered. With need comes vulnerability. And I will never be vulnerable again. I refuse to go belly up and let someone tear me piece from piece again. Needing someone implies that you are insufficient yourself and at the end of the day regardless of how much you need someone else no one will ever have your back. At the absolute end of the day you fight for you and you only. Not only does need make you vulnerable but it makes you weak. Just like love. Love is a made up work for people who need to feel secure with their significant other. However love doesn’t exist. It’s one of the most beautiful tragedies going. People have this urge to make sure that they have someone to lean on and you can only lean on yourself. I’ve seen family point a gun faster than a friend. And I’ve seen a friend do the same and pull the trigger. When you stay strong for you you’re making it. If you make it through a day just to see the next you’re making it weather you fell asleep with someone in your bed, or cried your self to sleep, you’re making it when you wake up the next day to see the sun come up. And god forbid the day that we let the walls of our souls down and let someone in just to break it. God forbid.
