I just spent over the last half hour hearing the story of a man who was just a nerd for technology, get railroaded by the federal government for shit that he absolutely did do, and he makes no attempts to hide it. He just fucked up.

He got sent to federal prison, and nearly not everything about himself, he absolutely lost everything he worked for going there at all

But he wrote on the top of the bedframe in sharpie, so it was the first thing he saw every morning

"IT GETS BETTER"

And guess what?

IT FUCKING GOT BETTER

But don't take my word for it

I grew up as the smart kid, the prized child because my grades were always good and I loved school. Grade 8 comes around and I stopped going. I never completed 8th grade. Same thing happened in years 9 and 10, I just never went and never finished them.

The thought of actually finishing high school was a far-fetched dream by the time I turned 18, but an alternative education program reached out to me and helped me get back to class. After 2 years I graduated with an Adult Diploma (getting a normal diploma would have required me to return the next year to take one class, which was stupid).
